"Mumma he really is annoying....he always irritates me....he has never ever spoken to me nicely...." She complained.

"That doesn't make him bad....even you are not nice to him....remember how you behaved when he came home?" Her mom rolled her eyes.

"Whatever said and done....marrying him is out of question...." She said chuckling sarcastically.

"Who is asking you to marry him tomorrow?why can't you spend time with him and know him and then eventually decide....i know if you two spend time together you will like each other...." Her mom patted her shoulder.

"And why do you think i will agree for this arrange marriage situation?" She raised her brows.

"This is not an arrange marriage....the ball is in your court....you will decide everything....we just gave suggestions...." She shrugged. "And Teja he is from the same profession....he will understand your work requirements....we know his family....what is better than this?"

"Whatever suits you people...." And with that Teja huffed out of the room.

"No point....first of all she will never agree....she thinks i am a bad human...." He chuckled sarcastically and sat on the bed as his mom and elder sister told him about the marriage scenario.

"She doesn't...." His mom said immediately.

"I had gone to give aunty the bag you sent and i heard Teja tell aunty that i have a bad reputation which is true....i do have a bad reputation....so please do not force her...." He said rolling his eyes.

His mother and sister looked at each other and then back at him. He was fidgeting with his phone.

"Leave her....what do you want?do you have an issue with her?" His sister asked him.

"She is annoying...." He said while doing something on his phone.

"Other than that?" His sister asked curiously.

"What else can cause a problem in a relationship?" He asked rolling his eyes.

"For that matter even i am annoying....you want to say your jiju is not happy with me?" She raised her brows.

"Uffff...." He kept his phone away in annoyance.

"You like her i know...." His mom said softly.

"I don't...." He said immediately.

"You find her annoying but you like her i know....or else you would have never agreed to drive her here and there....you are my son okay?i can read your face...." Her mom ruffled his hair and he closed his eyes and sighed.

"Give it a shot....you trust our instincts right?she is an amazing girl....trust me...." His sister said lovingly.

"Fine but i am not going to talk to her about this on my own...." He said getting up and saw that his mother was about to say something. He knew she was trying to convince him.

"No....don't even try....i agreed for this much that is more than you could wish for...." He left the room before they could say anything else.

"As if we don't know anything....he would have never ever agreed if he didn't want to....he just wants to show that he is annoyed...." His sister laughed and his mother joined.

*****

It was around 2 o'clock at night when everyone had gone to sleep. The rituals would begin the next day and everyone wanted to rest well.

Teja was tossing and turning in her bed. She was sharing her room with one of the girls and she was fast asleep. She went to the large glass window and looked at the lawn. He was there sitting beside the poolside.

She frowned and checked the time. What was he doing there at that time. She wore her jacket and went downstairs.

"What are you doing here?" She asked from behind him.

The sudden voice had startled him at first and then as he realised that it was her he calmed down.

"None of your business...." He muttered and looked at the water.

"Man toh karta hai dhakka deke pool mein fek doon...." She muttered under her breath.

"I heard you...." He looked at her sternly.

"I don't care....I am not scared of you...." She said sarcastically.

"Why didn't you say no?" He asked looking at her and she realised that he was talking about their marriage topic.

"Why didn't you?" She asked frowning.

"According to you i have a bad reputation so you clearly had a great reason to say no....i don't have anything to say no to right?" He asked raising his brows.

"Look i didn't mean it that way...." She said immediately. She realised that he had heard it or had come to know about what she had said somehow but her intentions were not to blame him. Her intentions were to scare her mom off.

"I know....chill...." He chuckled.

"My parents love you and they won't believe anything against you....as much as i hate that...." She said making a face.

"Stupid daughter of smart parents...." He muttered under his breath.

"I am not even joking i will push you into the pool...." She said in a tone of warn.

"I know how to swim...." He said casually.

"Not better than me for sure...." She said proudly.

"Excuse me?hello?dream on...." He said looking at her amused. The confidence of this girl.

"Competition?" She asked standing up.

"Done...." He stood up and opened his shoes and T-shirt.

She looked at his toned back and looked away immediately. He had the right amount of muscles and not to the extent that she disliked. She disliked guys with perfect abs and chiselled bodies.

She opened her shoes and took in a few breathes. This guy is not gonna let her live in peace. He was annoying but hot. And there was no denying the fact that she was attracted to him and to top it all their parents wanted them married.

She opened her slippers and her jacket.

She was wearing a spaghetti crop top and shorts.

Karan turned and his breath hitched.

What the hell. She looked hot as hell.
He checked her hips and her tiny waist. How would it feel to snake his arms around the waist and squeeze it.

What the hell was he thinking?he quickly looked away and schooled his thoughts.

May be. Just may be. A swimming competition at 3 in the morning with her was a bad idea.
