Tejasswi's POV

Mr. Mehra fists his palm which was holding a knife and stood up. We all looked at him. He just left from the table without telling anything. Mrs. Mehra excused herself and went behind Mr. Mehra.

Hmm, what are they up to?

I just ignored them and focused on my food but I could feel some pairs of eyes on me. I moved my head up a little and found Harsh, Aneri, Disha Chachi, Purab Chucks and Karan looking at me.

What did I do now?

I raised my eyebrows at them signing 'what'. They simply nodded nothing and focused on their food. Just then, Disha Chachi received a message. She took her phone and opened the message. She read it and sighed.

Disha : Didu and jiju had left to home.

Teja : Wow, that's great! Now, I can enjoy my food peacefully.

I said it with a smile on my face and dusted my hands. Aneri glared at me.

Aneri : Teja yaar..

I shrugged my shoulders at her and we continued to eat. After sometime, we finished our dinner and left from the restaurant after paying the bill. We gathered outside the restaurant. Chucks and Chachi left from there as soon as we got out.

I looked at Karan who seems to have a lots of questions in his head regarding my behavior with Mr & Mrs. Mehra. I folded my arms upon my chest and looked at him.

Teja : Shoot the questions.

He was bewildered as in how can I say the exact thing he wanted. He hesitated at first but he gathered all the courage he had and finally asked what he wanted to ask me.

Karan : Is there any misunderstanding going on between you and your parents?

I looked at him for a second and sighed.

Teja : Not everyone are perfect. There are some flaws in every human being and it goes for the relationship as well. I'm just helping them to fix their flaws, the misunderstandings between them and this is the way I could get. But..

He looked at me keenly when I said but.

Teja : But I won't forgive them for the lost that they had costed me years ago.

A lone tear escaped from my eyes. I quickly wiped it off and started to walk away from there. I heard Harsh and Aneri calling out my name. I just ignored it and went off. I know they understand my mood very well than me.

Karan's POV

What does she just said? Helping them to fix their flaws? But she won't forgive them for the lost?

What lost dude?

This girl just made me crazy. I wanted to help her but I need help in knowing before I could help her.

Okay, you guys might be wondering why I want to help her. She is a doctor and she helps people, then what's the need of a businessman in helping her?

Well, I saw the pain behind her smile. She is not the Tejasswi I have met when I was small. She was a mischievous and happy girl. Not this robot kinda girl.

Yes, I have met her before. I remembered this when I saw Pragya Aunty. My mom and Pragya Aunty are best friends. Pragya Aunty used to visit our house with Teja or vice versa. We used to play together but she doesn't remember it.

That's a different Teja and this is totally a different Teja. I don't know why but I felt like I have to help her. I have to find the reason behind her sadness. I want to give her back the happiness she deserves.

I can only do it if I get to know what happened to her before this. And what was the lost that costed her relationship with her parents. She left just like that leaving me behind and thinking about her. I sighed and turned towards Harsh and Aneri.

Karan : Guys, I'm.. I'm sorry if I had made mistake by asking her that question.

Aneri : That's okay, Karan. It's not your fault. It's her past killing her.

Karan : What exactly had happened to her?

Harsh : We can't tell you about it. You have to hear it from her because it's about her.

They are right. I should get to know about it from her and by myself. I can do this. I'll bring the lost smile on her face back again. I'll definitely do that for my childhood bestie.

Harsh : Okay, Karan. We'll leave now. Will meet you later in the hospital.

Karan : Yeah, sure. Take care and good night.

Aneri : Good night.

They left from there as well. I looked around and walked towards the hospital. I went to the room when Maa had been admitted. I thanked the nurse who was in charge when I was out. She smiled and left from the room. I kissed my mother's forehead and settled on the couch.
