Karan's POV

Do you know what's the most important thing in a businessman's life?

TIME!

Time is everything. If you are punctual with your meetings and submitting the files on time, then you crack the deals easily. I guarantee you that!

But this time and business is nothing in front of my mother.

I'm Karan Kundrra, an arrogant young businessman but only my Mom sees my soft corner.

Well, I shows my soft corner just to her because she is my world!

Now, I couldn't see her in hospital. It's hurtful when your mother is in hospital bed. She needed a surgery asap. I didn't discuss with my Mom yet. I'll make sure she does this surgery.

Thanks to Dr. Tejasswi Mehra. I was rude to her earlier this day but she was and is with me. Even now she requested me to join with her and her friends for dinner. That's so sweet of her.

I met with her 2 best friends, Dr. Aneri and Nurse Harsh, Dr. Purab Khanna, Harsh's father and this hospital's head and Head Nurse Disha who is Tejasswi's Chachi as well. They are fun to hangout with.

Currently, we are at the restaurant and had ordered the food. We were waiting while chit chatting randomly. Just then, Disha Aunty received a call. I saw her facial expression changed when she saw the caller ID.

She nervously looked at Tejasswi. Tejasswi gave a confused look to her as well. Then, she attended the call. She talked to the person and after few seconds she raised her hands. We all looked towards the direction she saw. There were a couple.

Wait a second!

I have seen them. Isn't that Abhishek Prem Mehra? My Chief and that's his wife, Pragya Aunty?! Yes, it's them!

They came to our table. Disha Aunty hugged Pragya Aunty and Chief hugged Purab uncle.

Do they know them?

Then, I noticed Tejasswi getting off and left from there in anger.

But why?

Chief and Pragya Aunty became sad looking at the retreating figure of Tejasswi.

Again why?

Aneri excused herself and went in search of Tejasswi. I'm hell confused with Tejasswi's behavior looking at Chief and Pragya Aunty. They turned towards me. I smiled at them.

Karan : Hi, Chief. Hi, Pragya Aunty. How are you both?

At first, they were confused as in how I know their name. I think they forgot me.

Karan : I'm Karan. Karan Kundrra from India.

Abhi : Vijay's son?

Karan : Yes, Chief.

He smiles and hugged me. Pragya Aunty smiled at me. I broke the hug with him and hugged her. Then, we broke the hug again.

Pragya : It's been so long since we met. How's your mother beta?

I was about to answer them but Tejasswi and Aneri came. I looked at Tejasswi to make sure is she okay or not. She looked at me as well. I don't know why but her eyes is trying to convert something to me.

It's like asking me to keep staring at her and I did. I kept staring at her and she does it as well. We kept staring at each other until Aneri spoke. We broke our eye lock. We settled down in our places.

Tejasswi's POV

Mr and Mrs Mehra is here.

Why the hell are they here?

CAN'T THEY FUCKING GIVE ME SOME PEACE?!!

I literally glared at them when they looked at my side. I stood up and left from there. I can feel that everyone's gaze was on me but I just ignored and came to the restroom.

I came to the restroom and stood in front of the mirror. I banged the counter in anger. I looked myself in the mirror. The scariest and the most hurting part of my past flashed through the mirror. The whole scenario was terrible to see.

My head, ahhhh!

I felt a little sharp pain in my head. I hold it and massaged my forehead. I immediately ran my hand into my pocket and took out a pill box. I looked around and checked if anyone is seeing me or not. I quickly took a pill from the box and placed it back in my pocket.

I looked around again and put that pill in my mouth and swallowed it. I closed my eyes and took deep breathes. Then, I opened it back. The scenario was still playing in my mind. I have to get rid of it. I took the pill box in my left palm.

I looked around to find a shampoo bottle that was kept there for use. I grabbed it in my hand and I was about to throw it on the mirror when a hand stopped me. I looked at my side and found Aneri.

Wait!

When did she came?

Oh shit, did she saw when I ate the pill?

Damn, she shouldn't know about this, not Harsh! I quickly slides the pill box in my back pocket making sure she doesn't see it.

Aneri : What the hell are you doing? Chodo. Chodo isse, Teju!

She shouted at me. I know she's so concerned about me and she don't want me to hurt myself. She pulled the bottle away from me and kept on the counter. I dusted my right palm and banged the counter again.

Aneri : Paagal hai kya tum?

Teja : Why are they here, Aneri?

Aneri : Disha Chachi ne unko bulaya tha. They wanted to see you. They said they won't even try to talk to you. They'll eat together with us and then will go back.

Teja : Hahaha, itna affection hai mujh per? I  doesn't know about that.

I said in sarcastic tone. Aneri glared at me.

Aneri : Teju yaar..

Teja : Kya? Don't ask me to come over there now.

Aneri : You have to.

Teja : No..

She didn't even let me finish the sentence. She took my hand and put it on her head. What have you done Aneri?!

Aneri : Meri kasam.

Teja : Do you know how much I hate you?

Aneri : I love you too. Ab chalo.

She grabbed my arm and dragged me with her. We came to the table and I saw Karan talking with Mr and Mrs Mehra.

Why is he smiling while talking to them as if he knew them before? Or do he?

I also saw them hugging from the way. Do they know each other before? Is he a family friend? But I'm meeting this guy for the first time. What the heck! I looked at him and he looked at me back.

We kept staring each other unknowingly. One part of me was asking me to keep staring his brown orbs and even he didn't break the eye contact. We had to break the eye lock when Aneri spoke to me.

Aneri : Teju, come and sit.

I looked at her and nodded at her. I can feel Mr and Mrs Mehra's gaze on me but I didn't look up at them. Our food came. We started to eat. This dinner was about to go with fun but I don't want to show my fun side to Mr and Mrs Mehra's as they only deserves my hatred.

Just then, Mrs Mehra asked Karan which made me to look up at him.

Pragya : Karan beta, you didn't tell how's your mother? It's been so long since I met Akshara.

Karan : Maa had been admitted to hospital, Aunty.

I think they know each other before and I'm unaware of it. Great!

Abhi : Akshara is in hospital? Why and when?

Karan narrated the whole story, how his mother got heart attack and fainted, how he contacted the ambulance and came to hospital and about the surgery also.

Pragya : Itna sab kuch hua and I'm unaware of it. I want to meet Akshara now.

Teja : No, you can't!

I spoke while concentrating on my food. Everyone's head turned towards me. I looked at them and raised my eye brows at them.

Teja : What? Of course, she can't meet her now. It's not the visiting time. For your kind information Mrs Mehra, you can meet Mrs. Akshara Kundrra tomorrow in visiting hours. Hope you understand.

I said looking sharply at her. Then , I focused back on my food. I know she felt hurt by the way I called her Mrs. Mehra. She deserves it, doesn't she? Mr. Mehra fists his palm which was holding a knife and stood up. We all looked at him.
