Tejasswi's POV

I walked ahead and reached my desk at the ED counter. I saw Aneri and Harsh already there but they are staring at each other without blinking even once. I went near them and looked closely at them. They aren't aware of my presence there.

Let me elaborate their position. Harsh is sitting on a chair with his chin on his elbow which was supported by the counter desk while Aneri is standing at the other side of the counter with a pen in her hand and looking at Harsh intensely. Matlab, they are having the couple wala eye lock.

Kya baat hai, Bhai! Aww, they looked too cute.

I really don't want to disturb their lovely moment but I have to because the patients are waiting and people, I'm single! Please respect me! So, I wantedly coughed to get their attention but it was of no use. They didn't react to it even once.

Therefore, I had to clap in front of them. Yeah, it brought them back from their la la land. Their eyes blinked and they both looked towards me at the same time. I gave them a teasing look and they blushes profusely. Jesus!

AnHarsh : Tej.. Teju, when did you came? Where were you?

They asked the same question together. I gave them a weird look while they smiled sheepishly. I chuckled at them.

Teja : I was with Mr. Karan Kundrra..

AnHarsh : Ohho!

They cut off me in mid and gave me a teasing look. Like seriously people?! Let me finish what I wanted to say.

Teja : His mother was shifted to a normal ward as Harsh, you know about it. So, I accompanied him to her ward and even Chucks came there. We both told him about her health condition and the transplantation surgery.

Aneri : Oh, Harsh told me about it as well. So, what have he decided?

Teja : Mrs. Kundrra isn't awake yet. So, I asked him to discuss with her and then decide.

Harsh : That's good. Guys, Papa suggested why don't we go for dinner tonight together after the shift? Along with Disha Aunty.

Aneri : Yeah, why not? Tomorrow is off for us. We can go tonight and it had been so long since we three spent sometime together apart from this hospital and also we should have some fun.

Teja : I agree. I really need some air from this duty and hospital.

Harsh and Aneri gave me a weird look. I know why they are giving me this look. I'm the only person who talks about how our duty is important and we shouldn't neglect it but now I'm the one who is asking some peace or rather say rest from this duty.

Teja : Arrey yaar, humhe bhi accha se rest karni chahiye aur accha neend chahiye na?! So, to have some good rest we should have some fun.

I just blabbered whatever came in my mind. They chuckled and I pouted at them. These two!!!!!!!

It's a tiring day. Numerous of incomings and hundreds of patients. I had to write reports on several patients. I was done with everything around 6:30pm. My shifts ends at 7pm. I also have dinner plan with my colleagues cum friends including Disha Chachi and Chucks.

I closed the files and got up from my chair. I walked to the 'Staffs Only' room. I went towards my locker and I opened it. I took out my bag and inserted some important files of my patients. Then, I took off my doctor coat. I held the coat and my bag in left hand and closed my locker with my right hand.

I gave a last glance at the room and exited. After a pause, I took out my phone and scrolled the feeds while walking towards the entrance. I was ordered by my pyaari best friend, Aneri to wait at the entrance, so that we all can go for dinner together.

As I was so into my phone, I didn't look who was coming in my way. I bumped with a person, who came from the front. It was unexpected. The hit was so hard that I lost my balance and I was about to fall on my back but..

Two muscular arms grabbed me and held me tightly. Phew, hum bach gayi!

The two muscular arms pulled me up and my front was dashed with the person's front. I slowly opened my eyes which were closed tightly due to the fear of falling. My eyes got in contact with the person's eyes.

Firstly, I didn't recognize who it was but after scanning the face I got to know that it was Karan Kundrra that who saved me just now. I looked at him and I looked into his eyes. He was already looking into my eyes. I didn't know why but his eyes conveyed something.

I felt really different looking into his eyes. It was like he is speaking something through his eyes to me. It was a new kind of feeling I get to feel by looking into his eyes. I was so lost in his eyes and I broke our eye lock when his phone rang.

I looked everywhere except at him. He made me to stand properly and grabbed my phone which fell on the floor. I checked and it got off. I tried to on it but no use. I tried several times but it was waste of time. My phone broke due to the fall, I guess!

I frustratedly stamped my foot on the floor and looked at the side. I saw him looking at me and he chuckled at me. I smiled sheepishly and I remembered that I didn't thank him for saving me.

Kya yaar, Teju!

Teja : Thank you, thank you for saving me!

Karan : Anytime!

He said with a smile and looked at my phone.

Karan : Broken?

Teja : Yeah! I have to give it to the shop to repair it.

He nodded his head.

Karan : Where are you heading to?

Teja : Dinner plans with collegues cum friends. And you?

Karan : Cafeteria for dinner as well.

Teja : Oh, by the way how's Mrs Kundrra? I sent a nurse to check on her as well.

Karan : Yeah, she came a while ago and after checking, I talked with Maa for a while and she slept off after sometime due to the medicine.

Teja : Oh, it was given to make her rest well.

Karan : Yeah. I think you are getting late for your dinner plans. We will meet later?

Teja : Yeah, sure. Take care.

He nodded his head and turned to leave. I looked at his back and thought for a while. Then, I called out his name who was 2 feets away from him. He stopped in his track and turned to me. He raised one of his eyebrow at me.

Teja : Why don't you join us for the dinner?

I don't know why but I was tend to ask him out.
