Harsh : What? I came in to say Good morning.

Tejasswi gets into the elevator and pressed floor number 3. The elevator was about to close but someone stopped it by their hand. The person came in as the elevator got opened. It was Karan. Tejasswi was shocked and kind of embarrassed after what happened last night.

Karan was the same as well. He came in and was about to press 3 as well but it was already pressed by her. The door closed and it started to go up. They were silent and Teja was going through her patients details in her tab. Karan steals her glances.

Karan : Am I really not the first one?

He asked all of a sudden. Teja was surprised. She looked up at him and he was already looking at her. Teja raised her eyebrows like 'are you serious right now?' look. Karan looked at the floor number it was almost 2. He went and pulled out the red button making the elevator stop abruptly.

Karan was silent. He didn't know what to tell his mother. He slowly looked at Tejasswi. She got embarassed and turned towards Aditi and started conversation with her. Karan gulps and looked back at his mother.

Karan : I went to my friend's house nearby. I slept off there Maa. Sorry, forgot to inform you.

Aditi : After going through your case study, I suggest a better way than heart  transplant but this is not a permanent solution. This is the best we can provide for you while waiting for the perfect heart for you as your blood group is a rare one.

Teja : Yes. We are suggesting 'implantable left ventricular assist device' also called as  LVAD are mechanical pumps that help your heart supply blood to the rest of the body. It can extend a your life for years.

Purab : We will put your name in Uno's list as well for a heart but it can take months or years but till then this LVAD will be useful.

Aditi : It's a simple operation only. After operation, you'll be under observation for 4-5 days, then you can go back to your house.

Mrs Kundrra : It sounds crazy and scary at the same time. What do you think, Karan?

Karan : They are doctors, Maa. They'll suggest the best only. I think you should go for this.

Mrs Kundrra : Okay, then. I'm ready for this operation.

Teja : Great, I'll just arrange for the operation tomorrow morning. I'll ask nurse to take you up for some checkups.

Aditi : I'll come and check you up again later, okay?

Mrs Kundrra : Okay, doctor.

The doctors nodded at them and left from there. Karan and his mother was only left there.

Mrs Kundrra : Karan, why don't you marry a doctor?

Karan looked at his mother surprisingly.

Karan : Maa? Kuch bhi? You are in hospital.

Mrs Kundrra : So, what? Did you notice that Dr, Aditi? She is very pretty.

Karan : She is married and have a son. Her husband died in a plane crash.

Mrs Kundrra : I heard from your father that Abhi and Pragya were about to divorce back then but they dropped off the idea after something and I don't remember what's that.

Karan : They both seems not okay as well and Teja is acting really weird around them. She wasn't the one I met when I were small.

Mrs Kundrra : We don't know what she went through.

Karan just nodded at his mother. Then, they talked for sometime.

Teja was checking a patient in the emergency department. She checked the patient and instructed a nurse to take them to scan. Then, she came back to the counter and started to work on the computer checking at the patient's cases.

Karan came there and Tejasswi looked up at him.

Teja : How can I help you?

Karan : Maybe, last night wasn't your first time but it was my first time and it was a memorable night.

He winked at her and left from there. Tejasswi's eyes popped out hearing him. She got up from her chair and followed him. Karan was walking in the hallway to go back to his mother's room and didn't notice she is coming behind him.

Tejasswi looked around as if someone's is watching them over. As she made sure the side is clear, she pulled his hand from behind and pulled him inside a room. Karan was shocked. Tejasswi pinned him to the door and locked it.

Karan looked around the room. It had a double decker bed, a table with chair. It's an on-call room where doctors can take rests in between their shift. Karan looked at Tejasswi.

Teja : Okay, listen carefully. Last night was just a one night stand. Nothing else. Don't go around tell that to anybody, okay? I warn you.
