So some people have been making books about Teenfic, but imo they were kind of just saying "Hey, don't go to bad site". Of course, the site IS bad. But this is about how bad it is, why it's bad, and warning and informing about stuff.

So if you're not in the loop, Teenfic is a website that has fanfiction. But the issue is, it's all from here. 
Everything you post on here ends up on there.

And I do mean everything. Every RP book, original story, fanfiction, and face reveals.
So if you have a face reveal book on here, then they very much have your face.

And as you can see, there's clickbait scam bots that are basically like the Hot Girls In Your Area popups.

On top of having your face, it also has viruses, malware. So unless you have a really good virus defender (and even then, be very careful), do not go check if your books are on there, it's best to assume that your books are on there.

Though as said in a comment, you can also just look up your WP username on Google, and it should pop up some of your stories that are on Teenfic (As well as possibly on other iffy looking sites, sadly)

I have seen some misconception that there's individual people stealing books and pretending to be the users from here on there, but that isn't true. It's simply bots moving everything from Wattpad to there.

And sadly, Wattpad has already known about this for years, but just brushes it off. They just say at one point "Nothing but a window site." Or as I've found, it's also called a mirror site. So basically using a 2 way mirror to see you and your stuff. (Sounds creepy, I know)
And as far as I could find, you can sue or urge someone to take down a mirror site if they did not have permission to use your stuff. 

Wattpad not only hasn't done that seemingly in the years it's been known (though, don't know if Canadian laws are different with that), but they can't do the bare minimum of making a book about it on their official page, or making something about it easily accessible so that users can know better. I can't even recall where their response about Teenfic was since it was YEARS ago.

And even if they DID give permission, then they need to disclose that they did so and that the other site still ain't safe. 

As a company, it's their responsibility that their users know about things that can affect them because of the product.

And as I said, this site involves all images, including face reveals. This is one of the reasons you should not be sharing your face on WP, especially if you're a kid.

A site with an unsafe system can and will have your face, and people who go on there not knowing about Wattpad, will see it. Strangers of many ages will see your face without your knowledge. That's already dangerous enough on here with ghost readers or people faking their identity, but even more so when a virus site has your face.

So just to make people aware. This isn't to make you completely leave Wattpad or anything like that. Just be made aware.
