*The next morning...*

My P.O.V.

*yawn*

'Man. What a night.' I said to myself as I was waking up on a beautiful fall morning. I woke up, smiling to see Leonardo sleeping soundly. Mars woke up and rubbed his fur against my leg.

"Hey Mars. I'm going to make breakfast for Leo. Do you wanna help?"

"Roar!" he roared quietly.

"Good. But we have to work quickly and quietly, we don't want to wake the others. Okay?"

"Roar!"

"Good. Let's go."

So Mars and I snuck out of the room and quietly tip-toed our way out. We made sure that we didn't wake anybody up. We made our way downstairs to the kitchen and started making breakfast.

"This is going to be good! Leo loves pancakes, and I thought I might sweeten it up a bit with blueberries! Wouldn't that be a good treat for him Mars?"

"Roar!" he responded playfully.

"Alright, let's get cooking!"

*A while later...*

I served the blueberry pancakes on a plate and rested my head on the chair.

"Phew! That was some hard work. Wasn't it Mars?"

"Roar, roar." he answered. But his ears perked up and heard someone coming downstairs. He jumped from the chair and ran to the stairs which got me my attention.

"Hm? What is it Mars? Are you hearing something?"

"Roar, roar!" he roared as he was pointing toward the stairs with his right paw. I got a broom ready to see who was coming down the stairs and it was April.

*yawn*

"Brianna? What are you doing up this early?"

"I thought I might make myself some blueberry pancakes before I head out."

"You? Heading out by yourself? Yeah right!"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, that you aren't doing it alone. You're going to be with Leo!"

I blushed so hard, I blurted out the secret that was stuck inside of me, by accident.

"Okay, okay I am! It's because I'm in love with Leo!"

*gasp*

I noticed what I've said and covered my mouth. I thought that I made a pathetic fool of myself, but April kinda knew which made me grow curious.

"I knew that. Donnie told me about it."

"What?"

"But it's okay, I know how it is. You really like him and to tell you this, he really likes you too."

*gasp*

'Really? He... likes me back?! Oh my god I really want to tell her this!'

"Um April. Can I tell you how I fell head over heels for Leo?"

"Yes of course!" she said as she was sitting down on the chair.

"Okay this is what happened that last year ago..." I said as I began the story.

*A few minutes later...*

"And that's how I fell in love with him. Because of his intelligence and his interests. But most likely his looks."

"Oh my god! You have to tell him that right now!"

"Tell who right now?" someone spoke out.

*gasp*

I whipped my head back to see Leo at the top of the stairwell. I didn't want to tell him yet! I needed to play a diversion to not get his attention.

"Um, umm, to tell Donnie to give us our medicine! Right April?" I nudged her.

"Uh yeah! I'll tell him after he wakes up!"

Leo looked confused, but I think he accepted the answer.

"Okay. Let's have some breakfast before our walk. And then Donnie can give us our meds."

"Okay Leo. Let's eat! I made the gang some blueberry pancakes."

"Wow. This looks good!"

"I know right?" I said as I began to eat.

"Well idatakimas!" he said as he was starting to eat his food.

*After breakfast...*

"Here you go guys. Take the medicine and then you can head out for your walk." Donnie said.

I was curious on how Donnie knew I was heading out with Leo. But I ignored it as I tasted the nasty pink medicine.

"Ugh! Man, this stuff is really getting old!"

"I know right?" Leo said.

"Right."

"You good?" he asked.

"Yeah. Are you?"

"Yeah. Come on Bre, let's get some exercise by the creek."

"Okay, let's go!"

So Leo and I got ready and headed outside of the farmhouse. Leo had to take a walking stick with him so he can balance himself out. I had to take 1 as well just in case I tumble down with my stomach wound.

"You ready?"

"Yeah."

While we were walking, I felt something warm on my hand. I looked down to see Leo holding it. I blushed a little pink and closed my eyes tightly. My heart was pounding so hard, I thought I was going to explode! But I acted like my normal self and continued walking on the leafy trail with Leo.

*A while later...*

We made it to the creek, about to step onto the the stones. The forest looked very beautiful today. The sun was shining, the creek was making a relaxing watery sound, and the light breeze felt nice.

"Come on Brianna. We're almost there."

"Yeah right Leo." But then I tripped over a land stone and fell on my stomach. "Ahh!!!"

"Brianna! Are you okay?" Leo said as he was helping me off the ground.

"Yeah. But, I don't think I'm ever going to be the same again."

"Don't be like that. That's not the Brianna I know. You're caring and you never give up!"

"Heh. Okay, let me go first."

"After you."

"Thank you. Now come on, let's cross this creek." I responded before stepping on the 1st few stones to the other side of the creek.

Leo's P.O.V.

After Brianna made it to the other side of the creek, I was going next until I felt a strike in my stomach. So I took out the medicine and chugged a whole mouthful. After that, I felt dizzy and my mind wanted me to faint.

"Leo?"

"Oh man, I'm gonna..." I dropped the bottle and ended up losing my appetite.

*vomits*

"Leo! Are you okay!? What happened?"

"I think it's that medicine Donnie gave me. Ugh, I'm not feeling too good."

"Come on, let's head back to the farmhouse. You need some rest."

No One's P.O.V.

While Brianna and Leo were walking back to the farmhouse, something strange happens after Leo's mutagenic vomit was deepening into the earth and large green glowing eyes appeared.
