My P.O.V.

Hi everyone. My name is Brianna. 1 year ago, I met some very special friends that were a team of 2 human beings and 4 mutants. And they are known as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I became a part of them when they saved me from a thieving gang known as the Purple Dragons. And ever since then, my best tiger friend Mars and I learned to become 1 of them by becoming ninjas ourselves and how to love and care about our new friends.

I was sitting on my bed writing in my journal about my new secret friends that I care for very much. Mars was on top of the bed curling up to my knee. Mars and I kept the secret for a pretty long time, and I haven't told my friends from school or my family.

*Journal Entry Starts*

"Dear Journal, it's been for 1 whole year since Mars and I became part of the TMNT squad with April, Casey, and the turtles. We were getting better in our ninja training and our lives was going great. But pretty recently, I was meditating with Leo and he said that he liked me. I was surprised that he said that because I told him that I liked him a while back. But there was something that I didn't want to tell him. I have a very surprising secret that I will tell you, I'm in love with a blue masked ninja turtle named Leonardo Azure Hamato."

I blushed hard on that thought.

"I didn't want to tell him just yet because I was having 2nd thoughts of not telling him by his physical looks. But I will tell him someday, which will come from my own heart. And if he thinks it won't work out, I'll still give it my all."

*Journal Entry Ends*

I closed my journal, thus ending my daily journal entry. I carried Mars and placed him on my stomach. I laid down on my bed and played with Mars' ears for a little bit.

*sigh*

"Sometimes Mars, love can be hard to say to someone that you really care for. Right buddy?"

"Roar!" he roared softly.

I picked up my T-Phone that Donatello gave me since day 1. I unlocked the phone and scrolled through all of the pictures that I took of me and my best friends. They made the best of all my memories. I was about to call Donatello, my best purple masked turtle friend until my mom called me from down the hall.

"Brianna!" my mom called.

"What is it mom?" I asked while I was coming down the stairs. Mars followed closely behind me.

"I want you and Mars to hide in this closet right here."

"Why do you want me to hide?"

"It's for your own good. Remember when my worst enemy Oroku Saki, was going after me?" my dad said.

"Yeah." I knew that my parents were in danger from Oroku Saki, a.k.a. the Shredder which was also known as the turtles' worst enemy.

"Well, now that you're almost 18 years old, you have to find a safe place to go to. I want you to take this box and get out of the city ASAP." my mom said as she gave me a rather tall sized box with green wrapping and topped off with a blue bow. The box was a little heavy, and I was curious on what they got for me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's your early birthday present that I've been saving since our retreat from Japan. You can open it on the day of your birthday when you get to a safe place."

"Okay." I said sadly.

"We love you so much." my parents said as they gave me hugs and kisses.

"I love you too." I shed my tears when I hugged my beloved family. Mars growled and I knew that he was already here.

When they closed the closet door, I heard the Shredder kicking the door down and his voice as well.

"Gomez! You're going to be sorry for declining my request from the Foot Clan! And I will destroy you and your family once and for all!"

"No. My daughter has already left to find a safe haven and I'll die with my wife!"

"Your wish... Will be GRANTED!"

I wanted to save my parents, but I promised them that I would stay here. I've heard my father's swords clinging to the Shredder's gauntlets. And when I opened the screeching door a little bit, my parents were lying on the ground. I wanted to scream, but I didn't want the Shredder to find me.

"Your wish has been granted Gomez!" the Shredder said as he was ready to finish the final blow. My eyes widened and I braced result that ended their lives.

'No!!!' My heart spoke. I reopened my eyes and saw the Shredder leave the apartment with his armor that was stained with my family's blood.

After the Shredder closed the door to leave my apartment, I opened the closet door that I was hiding in and saw my parents lying on the warm wooded floor. They were both stabbed with my dad's special swords and all covered in blood. I was so shocked, I had to scream now that this was turning into a total nightmare.

"Mom! Dad!! No!!!" I fell on my knees and cried with my hands covering my face. The Shredder had taken my family's lives from me, from the world...

*15 minutes later...*

I packed up some of my clothes and important keepsakes. The family photo will definitely not be left behind in this dungeon of death. Mars brought his favorite toy and drops it in my bag. After I finished packing, Mars and I payed our respects to the ones we've loved. We left them there with a blanket covering their bodies and their favorite flowers all around them which were Cherry Blossoms. I looked at the present that they gave me and grew pretty curious what it was exactly, but it will have to wait until I find my friends and escape New York City while I still can.

Leo's P.O.V.

I was fighting the Foot Bots at the construction site on Bleeker St. After they were beaten, the Shredder's goons charged at me. They beat me up and I grew really upset, so I pounded them 1 by 1. After they were beaten, I was relieved. But something tells me that I wasn't finished just yet...

My P.O.V.

Mars and I were running toward the sewer lair until I saw Leo at an unusual construction site, just standing there as if he had seen something. I was happy to see him and I wanted to say hi. While I was walking toward him, Mars growled and noticed something was very wrong. It was the Shredder! And he appears right behind Leo!

"Roar!" Mars roared loudly.

*gasp*

"Leo! Look out!" I yelled out.

I didn't know what I was thinking because I ran as fast as I could and jumped in front of Leo to take the Shredder's gauntlet impact on myself. And then I was laying there on the cold, hard pavement.

Leo's P.O.V.

I didn't know what was behind me until the Shredder appeared out of thin air. I heard a roar that was coming from the entrance of the construction site which sounded like Mars. And then I heard some footsteps that were coming toward me fast.

It was Brianna! She was running like crazy as the speed of light and jumped right in front of me to protect me from the Shredder's gauntlets shredding through her body. She took the impact and fell on the ground, laying there on the sidewalk. My eyes were wide open and I faced the Shredder with an angry look.

"You! You MONSTER!!" I yelled and attacked him. I ended up almost slicing his arm a bit.

"You will pay for this Hamato!" he shouted as he and his goons were escaping. I've turned around to see Mars flattening his ears and Brianna was laying there, bleeding a lot.

*gasp*

"Brianna?! Brianna!"

She groans softly and opens her delicate chocolate brown eyes. She looked pretty hurt and I wanted to see if she was alright.

"Leo... are you alright? Did you get... hurt?" she finally spoke, wincing in pain. My heart felt like it stopped throughout time.

"Brianna! Why would you do this for me? Take this deadly risk for me?"

"Because... I... I care... And I... I..." she passed out due to blood loss.

"Brianna? Brianna?! Brianna!" I lifted her shirt a bit and saw her injury, it looked serious. She had a 3 way cut on her stomach which was deep, her shirt was shredded and stained with blood. I knew she wasn't going to make it, so I called Donnie to get us from the construction site immediately.

*A few minutes later...*

I saw Donnie and the gang in the Party Wagon I got on and carried Brianna's body bridal style. I laid her down on a pile of warm blankets, Mars followed behind me. Mikey got out of the van, grabbed Brianna's backpack and a tall sized present with green wrapping into the van, and we drove off.

I was a bit curious about what that present was, but I had to pay more attention to Brianna's condition. Donnie wrapped Brianna's injury up quickly and laid her back down. While Casey was busy driving, my brothers and I gathered around Brianna. Mars went inside of Brianna's backpack and grabbed a blue blanket with his mouth. I took the blanket from him and covered her with it.

"I'm so sorry Brianna. I feel so useless now that you've took a deep scar for me, your best friend. I made a promise to you that I wouldn't let you get hurt, and now... I broke it." I sat there shedding my tears which was soaking up my blue mask.

"It's okay bro. She'll recover soon. I'll fix her up when we get to our location to be safe at." Donnie said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah. Donnie will fix her up." Mikey said softly.

"I feel for you Leo. I know how much you care about her." Raph said.

"Yes. I do."

"Roar..." Mars roared softly and curled up next to me. I placed the small tiger on my lap and started to pet him.

"Let's all go to the farmhouse where she can heal. We all need to heal our deep wounds, injuries, and memories." April said sadly.

*The Party Wagon drives out of the city*

'I love you...' my thoughts said in my mind.
