Danny texts Jessica that he's outside and she replies; Great!  One problem... My parents want to meet you.  I'm so sorry in advance."

"Haha! It's fine!"

Before Jessica opened the door she tells her family, "Please Please Please!  Be normal!  This is my first date and I want it to be perfect!"
"Oh we'll be normal!  Won't we Jane?" George says in a goofy voice with his finger in his nose.
"Oh George, grow up!" Jane pushes him.
"Mom, please make them go upstairs!" Jessica begs.
"Sweetie, just open the door."

Jessica sighs and walks over to open the door.

"Hi." She smiles nervously.
"Hi." He smiles back.
"Come in.." She steps aside.

"Mom, Dad.. This is Daniel. Okay, let's go!" She grabs his arm and walks towards the door.
"Jessica, wait!" Her mother calls her.
She sighs and turns around.

"Hello Daniel, nice to meet you." Dorothy shakes his hand.
"Hello, Mrs. Lange." He smiles.
"Mr. Lange." He holds his hand out for her dad to shake.
"Take a seat, Daniel." He motions for him to sit in the living room.

Jessica goes to sit beside him and Albert holds her arm, "Let me." He says siting beside him and telling her to sit with her mother.
"Mom.." She looks at Dorothy to stop him.
"Just sit." She yanks her down.

"Where are you two going tonight?"
"Well I planed on taking Jessica to one of my favorite restaurants."
"Uh huh, and where else?"
"Uh.. That's it sir." His eyes widen.
"I just want to talk."
"Sure you do. Tell me, how old are you?"
"I'm eighteen."
"Are you a senior?"
"No, I got held back in the first grade, so I'm a junior."
"Interesting. What do you plan on doing after school?"
"I'd love to become a football player, sir." He smiles.
"A football player? Are you any good?"
"I like to think so." He chuckles.
"Dad, can we go now?" Jessica asks.
"I'm talking to the boy, Jessica!" He looks at her as she sighs.

He asks him a ton more questions before he finally lets them leave.

When they get to the restaurant Jessica says, "I'm sorry about my dad, it's just--"
"You're his baby girl, I get it." He smiles.
"Exactly! Well anyway, enough about them! I'm really happy you asked me out.. I really thought you'd think I was crazy!"
"Haha! You're not crazy. Just tell me, were you talking about me the other day? You know, when you were talking to Sarah about asking someone out?"
"Yeah.. I was." She looks down and smiles as her face turns a light shade of pink.
"I knew it! I was really hoping you liked me. I'm sure you know this, but you're the prettiest girl I've ever laid my eyes on."
"Oh Daniel.." She smiles.
"No I'm not!"
"Don't be silly! Of course you are! And call me Danny."
"Alright, Danny. Oh and you can call me Jessie." She smiles.
"Okay.. Jessie." He chuckles.

She loved the fact that Danny seemed just as nervous as she was.

After they left the restaurant, Danny drove to an old abandoned cabin.
"What's this?" She asks.
"Just a place I go when I want to disappear from the world. I wanted to show you. It's not much at all, but it has this special thing to it that just feels peaceful, doesn't it?"
"Yeah, it does." Jessica smiles out the window as she looks at the cabin.
"This isn't like those Dateline stories, right? I mean like, you're not gonna kill me, are you?"
Danny laughs and says, "Definitely not!"
"Good!" She laughs.

"And then when I was fifteen my teacher moved schools and I hate change, so I quit." She says as she finishes the reason why she quite dance.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I've always had really bad anxiety, and any little thing that changes just messes me up."
"I bet you're a great dancer." He smiles and gently runs his fingers on the side of her head.
"Eh, I'm okay.." She shrugs.
"Show me." He smiles.
"What? No way!" She laughs.
"Come on, please?!" He begs like a child.
"Danny, no!"
"Jessie it's just you and I. Come on." He smiles at her then turns the radio on and gets out take her hand.
She looks down and smiles as she nods her head then places her hand in his.

"We'll start off slow.." He wraps one hand around her back and grabs her hand in the other.
"Do you like Stevie Nicks?"
"Yeah, I love Stevie!" She smiles.
"Then let's dance!" He says as "Has anyone ever written anything for you" plays.

"You're really light on your feet!" She smiles up at him.
"Well, I used to dance as a child."
"Really?"
"Yeah, for a little while." He smiles.

"Okay it's time to show me your moves!" He lets go of her and starts dancing when "Play that funky music" starts.
Jessica laughs and just lets go.
"Whoo! Damn girl!"
"Haha! Danny, you make me feel so free!" She says as she grabs his hands.

Neither one of them had ever connected with anyone so quickly.
It was like magic.

The next song that came on was "I wanna be your boyfriend"

As they dance Danny grabs her and brings her closer to his body.
"Listen to the song." He smiles.
"Danny?" She giggles.
"I wanna be your boyfriend, Jess. I know this is soon, but let's do it!" He smiles.
"Really?!" She smiles big.
"Yes! What do you say?!"
".. Yes! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!" She hugs him.

Jessica looks up into Danny's eyes and smiles.
He leans in slowly and closes his eyes.
Their lips touch and they share a slow and gentle kiss.

Jessica smiles and bites her bottom lip as they break the kiss.
"Well.. *Giggles* I've had fun!" She smiles.
"So have I. I guess I better get you home before your dad kills me." He laughs.
"Yeah, I think so!" She laughs.

They get in the car and Danny holds her hand with the other hand on the steering wheel.

When they get to her house he reaches over to give her another kiss, then gets out and opens her door.
"Well, thank you!" She smiles and grabs his hand.
He walks her to the door and she wraps her arms around his neck.
Just as they lean in for a kiss and their lips barely able to touch, the porch light start flickering.
"And there's my dad!" She sighs and turns her face away from him.
"Haha! I'll call you tomorrow."
"Alright. Be carful driving home!"
"I will. Thank you for a lovely night, Jessie."
"Thank YOU for the lovely night, Danny." She smiles.
He brings her hand to his lips and kisses it, then knocks on the window and says, "Goodnight Mr. Lange!"
Jessica laughs and waves as he drives off.
