"Where is she? Is she okay? I want my Jovi." Jessica cries as she stares at the door her baby girl was just taken out of.

"They're going to take care of her, Jessica." Danny says trying to hide his nerves.

"Yes, Jessica. We just need to make sure she's okay. We'll bring her to you as soon as possible. Now, let's focus on delivering the placenta so we can get you cleaned up and to your baby girl!"

Jessica wasn't even listening to what her doctor had to say. She was numb and couldn't move.

"Jessica.. Jessica!" Danny shakes her arm.
Jessica takes a sharp breath in a looks at him.

"Baby, you need to focus so this thing doesn't make you sick."

Soon the placenta was out and Jessica was
clean.

Danny held Jessica's hand, and didn't even know what to say. They didn't know if their daughter was alive or not. They didn't know anything.

Thirty minutes pass and still Jessica has not seen her baby.

Jessica laid there sobbing. "I want my mom."

"She stepped out to call your dad."

"Go get her, please."

Danny did what she asked and soon the two came into the room.

"I was just calling to see how your dad and George are doing with the girls." She chuckles softly. Jessica could see her red watery eyes.

"I'm so scared, mom."

"I know, honey.."

"What if she's gone?  What is I lost my baby?"

"Jessie girl, don't say that!  She's okay.  I know she is."

"No you don't!" Jessica shouts.
"You two need to stop saying that!  You don't know!  No one knows what's going on in there!  She could be dead!"

Dorothy held Jessica against her chest and let her cry.  She didn't know any other way to comfort her.  She felt helpless.  Just like Jessica felt for her baby.

Soon Jessica's doctor as well as the cardiologist came in.

"Mr. and Mrs. Huston."

"Is Jovi alive?" Jessica asks as tears pour down her beautiful face.

"She's alive, Mrs. Huston."

"What happened?  Is it her heart or is there something else?"

"It's her heart.  We've run tests and it seems her heart condition is more serious than we had suspected."

"Worse?  But you said most holes in babies hearts close.  Can't we wait to see if it'll close?  Will she need surgery?" Jessica's voice was low and tearful.

"Before seeing Jovi's scan it was hard to tell what would happen in the first few weeks.  Looking at her scan now we see she has a very large hole in her heart and it will need immediate attention."

Jessica cries for her baby girl. "Is she gonna be okay?"

"Of course there are always risks, but I have faith.  Jovi will be okay."

"I'm so scared for her, Danny."

Danny wanted to be strong for Jessica, but he couldn't find the strength in him.  He just looked at her without speaking or blinking.

Dorothy walked up behind him and placed her hand on his back.  Danny turned to Dorothy with tears in his eyes.

"Is this my fault?  I was so horrible to her.. Jessie, I'm so sorry." He turns back to her.

"Danny, you didn't do this." Dorothy says.

"I feel like I did.  Jessica, please forgive me."

Jessica cries and hugs Danny.
"You didn't do it.  It's okay.  I'm just scared.  I can't lose her.  I can't do this, Danny."
