"Are you sure it's twins?" He asks in shock.
"I'm sure!  We saw it on the ultrasound."
"But I only saw one!" He takes his phone out to look at the picture she sent him.
"That was the first ultrasound I had.  I went this morning to get some pills for morning sickness and I asked for another one.  The lady said she thought she saw an extra little flutter of a heartbeat, so she moved it to the other side of my stomach and saw the other baby.  Look, here's the picture.  Look at what it says!" She hands it to him then points out the words.
"Hi mommy, there are two of us.." He reads then chuckles under his breath.
"Isn't that cute?"
"Adorable.."
"You okay?"
"Hm?  Oh yeah.. I'm fine.  Wow... Two babies?"
"Yep."
"I just got used to the one." He smiles.
"But it's okay... We can do it.. We can.. Do it.. We can do it, can't we?"
Jessica laughs and says, "Of course we can!  We can get through anything!"
"Yeah..."

Danny looks over to Jane and Dorothy who are both giving him a go to hell look.
"I'm sorry."
"Hah!" Jane scoffs.
"I really am.  I promise you, I will take care of Jessica and my babies.  Nothing gonna stand in my way.  I just need a job..." He says as he looks down at the ultrasound picture and says, "A really good job."

The next day Jessica went over to Sarah's.
She figured the hard part was over, well accept for telling her dad.  But she thought telling Sarah would be a little easier.

"Hey Jess!  You gaining weight?" Sarah asks her.  They've been friends forever so they both felt extremely comfortable telling each other that.
"Uh yeah... That's kinda what I need to talk to you about."
"That you're gaining weight?"
"Yeah... Sarah, I'm pregnant."
"What?!" Sarah eyes widen and her jaw drops.
"No way!  You are not!  You're fucking lying to me!"
Jessica just looks at her and Sarah says, "Jessica, please tell me you're lying."
"I wish I was." She laughs.
"But it's okay.. It's gonna be okay.  Sarah, I'm in love already." She smiles.
"I cannot believe this.." Sarah sits on her bed and stares at the ground.
"I know, I always thought you'd be the one to get knocked up!" She chuckles.
"Yeah, I know!  Oh my God.. You're pregnant?" She looks at her.
"Yeah." She smiles and slightly lifts her shoulders.
"Wow... Does Danny know?"
"Yeah, that's why we broke up."
"That asshole!" She gasps.
"But it's okay!  We're back together now!"
"What?!"
"Yeah, I'll explain it later, but it's my decision, so it's fine!"
"How far along are you?"
"I'm ten weeks..."
"Ten weeks?  You're showing already." She says looking straight at her bump as Jessica stands on the side of her.
"Yeah I know... I guess that just means that both babies are perfectly healthy!" She smiles but plays it cool.
Sarah looks up at her and cocks her head.
"Both babies?" She says in a low voice.
"Yeah.."
"No."
"Yeah!" Jessica laughs.
"Oh Jessica!" She starts to cry.
"Sarah, it's okay!"
"It is?" She looks at her with mascara all over her face.
"Yes, sweetie.  I know it's scary.. Hell, I'm terrified!  But, I already love my babies so much... I know that I can do this, Sarah.. I know I can!  It'll be the hardest thing I'll ever have to do.. But it'll also be the greatest thing I'll ever have to do." She says with watery eyes.
Sarah doesn't say a word, she just stands up and gives her a long and tight hug.

"I love you and I am always alway always here for you!"
"Awe, thank you Sarah!"

When she got home her mom made her favorite.
"Oh it smells so good in here!"Jessica sniffs and rubs her stomach.
"I made your favorite!  Awe, thanks mom!  You know.. You're handling this so much better than I expected you to.  Thank you." She wraps one arm around her and lays on her shoulder.
"Well, we've got to make the best of our little situation, Jessie.  Do I wish this would have been pushed back a few years?  Yes.  Do I wish you would have been married first?  Yes.  Do I wish you wouldn't have lied to me and said it was just an innocent trip to LA?  Yes!"
Jessica can't help but laugh and Dorothy says, "Don't laugh little girl!  I did the math and those babies were conceived in California, weren't they?"
"Maybe!" She scrunches her nose.
"Maybe?  Hah!  Alright!  Well anyway.. It happened and it's going to happen no matter what.  You might as well look on the bright side and be happy about it.  I'm gonna be a grandma!" She smiles.
"Yeah!" Jessica smiles as she picks up some grapes from the fridge and sticks one in her mouth.
"There's two little babies on their way, and my baby's gonna be their mommy." Her eyes fill with tears.
"You've been a really great daughter, and I know that you will be an even better mother."
"Awe!" Jessica starts to get emotional.
"I love you, mom!"
"I love you too, baby."
"I really want to make you and daddy proud.  I'm gonna do my best for these babies." She looks down and puts her hand on her stomach as she smiles.
"I know you will.  No matter what, your father and I will always be proud of you, Jessie.  You're our little girl!" She says walking over to her and pinching her cheeks.
Jessica giggles then says, "Oh and mom?  Is it okay if Danny comes over for dinner?"
"Have you already asked him?"
"He's on his way." She says with a kind of nervous smile.
"Well then that's fine, I guess.." She sighs.
"Oh mom, he really is a good guy!  He was just shocked.  What teenaged boy wouldn't react that way?"
"I know, Jessie.. I know he's a good boy.  And you know that I have always thought very highly of Danny.. But if he hurts you ever again, even a little bit!  Then he's dead!"
"Oh he knows that!  I told him not to do it again.  He won't see his kids, he won't see me, and he won't see the next day if he makes another stupid mistake.
Dorothy laughs and says, "That's my baby girl!" She taps her cheek.

They doorbell rings and Jessica runs over to it.
"That's Danny!" She says like an excited little kid.
She opens the door and jumps on him.
"Hi baby!"
"Hello gorgeous." He smiles then kisses her.
She runs her hands through his hair and deepens the kiss before she slides her feet down back to the floor, and taps his nose.
"Let's go inside." She smiles.

"Hello Mrs. Lange." He shakes he hand.
"Hello Daniel.  How are you"
"I'm good, thank you.  How are you doing today?"
"Good, thanks."
Jessica breaks the awkwardness and says, "Hey so I was thinking of telling George tonight."
"Yeah, do whatever you want sweetie.  I actually think he'll be thrilled."
"Probably." Jessica chuckles.

As they sit at the table Jessica says, "George, I need to talk to you... I have some news."
"Yeah, I know--"
"I'm home!" Anne walks through the front door.
"Anne!" Everyone says shocked that she's home.
"What are you doing home?" Jane asks.
"Well I've missed you too, Jane." She sarcastically says.
"Can't a girl just visit her family?"
"Of course you can, sweetie!  Now come sit down and eat."
"Thanks mom!  So how has everything been?  Anything new and exciting?" She asks.
"Oh yeah!" Jane chuckles.
Jessica gives her a look and says, "Nothing really, anything new with you?"

Jessica was okay telling George, but got extremely nervous to tell Anne.

"No.. Uh, well yeah."
"What is it honey?  whats going on with my future doctor?" Dorothy smiles.
"Hah!  Well.. I'm getting married." She smiles nervously.
"You're what?" Jessica's jaw drops.
"I'm engaged!"
"We-- do we know this guy?" Her mom asks.
"No, but he's really nice."
"Does he go to your school?"
"No.."
"Well where did you meet him?"
".. At a bar."
"A bar?  Anne.. You're not getting married, you have to finish school.  You are not throwing your career away for some guy you met at a bar."
"Mom it's not like that!  We've been dating for a few months, and he's gonna be a singer.  He has a beautiful beautiful voice!" She smiles.
"Anne, listen to yourself!  You're gonna be a doctor, your father and I busted our ass's off to send you to this school, and now you're gonna throw your life away for a singer?  You don't need someone distracting you right now.  I'm not saying don't date, but baby please think about it.  You're talking about marriage!  Marrying someone you've only known a few months!  Why are you rushing into this?" Dorothy asks as Anne looks like a scared little girl.

"Oh my God.." Jessica eyes widen and her heart pound.
Jessica has been in this spot and she knows exactly what's going on.
"Anne..." She says in a low voice as Anne says, "Mom, I'm pregnant."
"Oh my God.." Jessica says still in shock.
"You're what?!" Dorothy yells.
"I'm so sorry!"
"Wait!  I thought Jessica was pregnant!"
"Shut up George!" Jessica gives him a look.
"Here we goooo!" Jane chuckles and sits back to enjoy the show.
"Well I'm not stupid!  I saw the pregnancy test in the trash can!  She's been sick, and.. Well... Look at her!  She can't hide that much longer." He points to her stomach.
Jessica gasps and looks down as she puts her hand on her bump.
"Wait.  Jessica, you're pregnant?! Anne ask in a loud tone.
"Yeah, so what!  So are you!" She gets an attitude.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe this!  You asshole!  You knocked up my little sister!" Anne yells at Danny.
"Anne let's not do this!  Don't yell at him.  Rewind though!  Do you even want to marry this guy?  Or are you just getting married because you're pregnant?  Because that's not gonna solve anything."
"No!  Of course not!  I mean, if I wasn't pregnant then I wouldn't get married at this point in my life... But I do love him.. He's so sweet and he loves me so much."
"So what about school?" Jane asks.
"I'll still go.  I mean, it's gonna be really hard, but I'll do it."
"Why are you all questioning me?  Jessica's pregnant too!"
"Yeah and with twins!" Jane scoffs.
"WHAT?!" Anne looks at her in shock.
"TWINS?!" George George's eyes practically pop out of his head.
"I know, that's what I said!" Danny chuckles.
Jessica looks at him and rolls her eyes then says, "Yes, it's twins."
"Oh my gosh, Jessica... What are you gonna do?"
"What do you mean, what am I gonna do?  They're my babies!  I'm gonna have them and Danny and I will raise them.  Right baby?" She smiles up at him.
"That's right." He smiles and pats her thigh.
"Oh my God... Hah!  Why is our family so fucked up?!" George yells.

Dorothy's eyes are still wide open and she's just staring at the table.
"You're father is going to die.  He's gonna die!  Congratulations kids, you're getting a shit load of money, because your father is going to die!" She says still not blinking.
"Relax mom!" Jessica says.
"I just don't know how he's gonna react.  I mean, I knew he would be heartbroken with Jessica.. But now two of his daughters are knocked up." She grabs her head as she lays it on the table.
"Haha!  Guess I'm the only good child now!" Jane laughs.
"Hey that's me!" George yells at her.
"Shut up you dweeb!  I'm daddy's new favorite!" She smirks.

They suddenly hear a car door.
Dorothy pops her head up and looks towards the window.
"Oh shit, what is he doing home?!"
"Is that daddy?" Jessica asks worried.
"Yes!  No one say anything!" Dorothy says in a stern voice.
"How did it go from eating Mexican food to fearing for my sister's lives?" George sighs as he continues to eat his food.
