Jessica drove herself to the hospital and went straight up to the maternity ward.

She ran in and saw Sarah and Evan's family.

"Is she okay?  Is the baby okay?"

"They took her in for an emergency csection." Her mother said.

"What?  But it's too early!"

"There's no other option.  If he stays in there it's too dangerous for the both of them."

"Will he be okay?"

"Eleven weeks early of course isn't good, but her doctor says they're going to take good care of him so.."

"I wish there were something we could do."

"Pray. Lord knows they need it."

Jessica nods her head. She was so worried for her friends and their son. Jessica loves her daughters, and cannot imagine losing one of them. She prayed they wouldn't have to go through that.

Sarah's POV.

"I want to see him! I want to see me baby!"

"Honey, they're taking him to the NICU. They're helping him." Evan says staying as calm as possible.

"I didn't get to see him! What if something happens and I never get to see him?"

"Don't think like that. We're going to see him.
We're going to hold him in our arms and take him home one day. Don't cry. It's all gonna be okay."

"What if it's not? My baby boy, Evan.. I just want my son."

".. Me too.."

Jessica's POV.

"Hello?"

"Hey baby, how are the girls?"

"Um.. they're pretty bad. When are you coming home?"

"I don't know."

"What do you mean?"

"I can't leave yet.. Sarah had the baby. They had to do an emergency csection."

"What? No way! Are they okay?"

"Sarah's fine, she's in recovery."

"And Weston?"

"I don't know. I mean, he's stable right now but.. I don't know, it's scary."

"Wow.."

"So maybe stop complaining about our daughters and just thank God they're here and that they're okay."

"I'm not complaining, babe."

"You said they were bad!"

"They are!"

"Be nice, they're babies."

"I know, I know! I love them, but they're crazy! Especially Elaina. Why is she so bad, Jess?"

"Danny, stop." Jessica pouts. "She takes after you!"

Danny chuckles and watches the girls in front of him.

"You girls, it's mommy on the phone!"

The girls hear the word Mommy, and get super excited.

"They're clapping their hands and kicking their legs." Danny chuckles.

"Aw my girls! Give them kisses for me!"

"I will, babe. Keep me updated, okay?"

"I will. Love you guys!"

"We love you too, mommy! Girls, say bye bye!"

Both girls babble and crawl towards their father.

"They say bye!" Danny laughs.

"Aw my babies! I'll see you all soon!"

Two months later.

"Look at them, Danny! We made those little girls!"

"We did!" Danny nods. "It was fun." He laughs.

"Stop it!" Jessica giggles.

"Yes, Please Stop!" George says with a serious look.

Jessica laughs then turns back to the girls.

"Crazy how they were in your stomach this time last year." Jane chuckles.

"Right?! I was twenty two weeks and Elaina was already crazy!" Jessica laughs.

"I remember that! You were convinced they hated you!" Ann chuckles.

"I WAS! And I remember feeling So Fat next to you! You were a month ahead but I was ginormous!"

"You were carrying twins, Jess!"

"But still! You were a whole month ahead!" Jessica laughs.

"You think it'll feel weird with just one baby?" Jane asks.

"Oh yeah! One baby will be no problem for me!"

"Oh God!" Ann rolls her eyes.

"Don't talk baby around us, we don't want to be jinxed." Danny says.

"Well use a condom!" Jane says.

"Kids, it's Christmas! Stop talking about sex!" Dorothy shouts.

"Sorry!" Jessica laughs.

"Anyway.. I bet you'll whine with one baby, Jess."

"Maybe." Jessica shrugs.

"No more babies!" Danny says.

"Calm down, not yet!" Jessica says in an irritated tone.

"Look at Jessie's face! Jane laughs.
"Danny, you don't want to add another monkey to the bunch?"

"No way! These girls already take up all of our time and our money!" He chuckles.

"True. After college, right, baby?" Jessica smiles softly.

"We'll see!"

Jessica makes a cute face at him then looks at the girls. "We will! We definitely will." She smiles.

Sarah and Evan's POV.

"Merry Christmas, little man.. it's mommy and daddy!" Sarah smiles.

"It's your very first Christmas! And guess what! Santa came!"

Evan smiles as Sarah speaks to their son.

"He got you all kinds of toys you can play with when you're a little bigger! He also got you this.. a teddy bear! You like him? He's cute, isn't he?" Sarah smiles with tears in her eyes.

She then takes a deep breath and says, "Weston.. I prayed and prayed for a Christmas miracle.. I wanted you to be home with daddy and I for your very first Christmas.. but you know what?
.. this is a Christmas miracle, because you're here.
A few days after you were born they told us you wouldn't make it.. and now look at you. You're big and strong. You are Mommy's little fighter.
You still have to stay in the hospital a little while longer, but I know you'll come home soon.
.. and next Christmas we'll all wake up together! Won't that be fun?" Sarah smiles, trying her best not to cry.

Evan rubs Sarah's back and kisses the top of her head.

"We're here for a visit!" They hear Jessica's voice.

They turn and see her and Danny standing there.
"Merry Christmas!" Jessica runs to hug them.

"You guys! What are you doing here?"

"We wanted to come tell our best friends and our favorite little guy Merry Christmas!"

"Awww!" Sarah pouts and hugs Jessica once again.

"Weston!" Jessica whispers loudly.

"He's getting so big and strong, you guys!" Jessica smiles down to the baby.

"He is! We're very proud of him!"

Danny looks down and smiles before he says, "He'll be home in no time, you guys!"

"He will." Evan smiles softly.

When Weston was born, he was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect; VSD. Evan and Sarah were relieved when their doctor said no surgery was needed at this time. They prayed things would stay that way.

A few days after finding out, they had another huge scare.
Weston suddenly stopped breathing during the night. The staff acted quick and thank God saved him.
Of course Evan and Sarah thanked them. They felt like they now owe that team of nurses their lives.
Because of them their baby boy is still here to fight. Since then he's gotten better and better every day.
