Chapter Two
also known as; college SUCKS!
Sally had always hated school which was strange because she had always loved learning, but something about being trapped in the same gross building for five years wasn't appetising to her and that wasn't even taking into account the people who filled up that gross building.
She had thought college would be different, a new start, with new people who would understand her.
But she was quickly being proven otherwise and as she approached the outside of said college she couldn't help but notice a small group of girls huddled around an all too familiar yellow car.
"For fuck's sake," She mumbled trying her best to discreetly make her way past the group before either of the twins noticed her.
"Sally!" It was Katie that shouted her name, waving the pink-haired girl over to the group much to her own disapproval.
Her chances of getting out of this were pretty slim and she stood staring at the group for a few too many seconds trying to decide her best option, 1. pretending she hadn't seen the girl even if she had spent at least a minute now staring at her or 2. deal with the Fitch's.
Now Sally wasn't exaggerating when she said that the Fitch's were the most annoying pair of twins like ever. It was mainly Katie really but Sally had her own problems with Emily Fitch that she wasn't to get into right now. Let's just say the Fitch's seemed to be the bane of her life in school and it was starting to look like that wasn't going to change anytime soon.
"Hey Katie, Emily,"
"This is Effy, she's my new friend," Katie began pointing over to a girl who adorned an uninterested smile, much like Sally's own.
"Right,"
"And this is Pandora," She finished pointing over to a blonde that had a dopey smile playing on her face that had Sally grinning back.
"Would you like a lollipop?"
"Sure,"
"Awesome," Pandora grinned handing her a lollipop out of her backpack.
"So, you skate?" Effy interrupted pointing down to the scuffed skates that Sally was wearing.
"Yes,"
"That's cool," Effy nodded though she really didn't seem at all interested in any of the girls stood around her.
"Super," Pandora grinned enthusiastically.
"Well this was a riveting conversation but I should probably go find Noami and Charlie," Sally spoke up after a few too long seconds of silence had fallen over the girls, turning back to the Fitch sisters.
"You're still friends with her?"
"Yes, why wouldn't I be?"
"Because she's freak, Sally." Katie spat, but Sally just rolled her eyes turning to Emily who was now awkwardly staring at her feet.
"Grow up Fitch," Sally spoke glaring at the two girls before skating off in the other direction. If she was going to have to put up with the Fitch's for yet another two years you bet your ass she was not going to sit there and take their nonsense like she had in school.
Sally didn't have a large group of friends, in complete honesty, her 'group of friends' consisted of two people. Those two people being Charlie Knight and Naomi Campbell.
Naomi was arguably the most outgoing of the group, her loud style and even louder mouth meant she wasn't the most popular when it came to having friends. But that was something the group had always had in common and Sally didn't see what was wrong with being outspoken.
I mean what was the point in having an opinion if you weren't going to voice it?
Though Charlie was much the same, which meant most guys his age thought he was a bit of a wanker. He was also obsessed with poetry which probably didn't help his cause, but it didn't matter because the trio was attached at the hip and didn't need anybody else.
"You'll never guess who I just saw," Sal grinned as she approached the two teens, stopping her skates just before she crashed into them.
"The Fitch's by any chance?"
"How'd you know?" Sally huffed, tyring her best to steady her wobbly legs which seemed to be having a hard time trying to balance on the old bumpy carpet they were walking on.
"They're standing next to that hideous yellow car, they're kind of hard to miss Sal," Naomi scoffed, the car truly was hideous, being an obnoxious shade of yellow, she couldn't understand why anyone in their right mind would own such a thing but then again Katie Fitch's boyfriend was kind of missing in that department anyway.
"Yes well, I bet you didn't have to speak to them,"
"Luckily not," Naomi scoffed, crossing her arms across her chest.
"Katie's still hung up on the whole gay thing,"
"Moron,"
"Who cares about Katie Fitch, we're starting fresh ladies," Charlie grinned swinging his arms over the two girls, ignoring the obvious judgment on both their faces.
"I thought people at college were meant to be cool," Naomi laughed.
"Hey, stop judging,"
"It's true," Naomi continued but Sally was far to busy watching an all too familiar group of boys heading directly her way to actually pay attention to the pairs bickering.
"Oh god," She mumbled, dropping her head in an attempt to hide from the group.
"Hey, it's you!" The boy she now knew as Elias shouted his long gangly arms waving in the air as he did so.
"From the shop," Another finishes.
"Can I help you with something,"
"Sally!" Naomi laughed smacking the girl lightly as she continued to glare at the group of boys.
"I'm Charlie, that's Naomi and I'm guessing you already know Sally?"
"She fixed my board,"
"Right,"
"I'm Freddie and that's Elias, Jj and Cook," The tallest of the group introduced.
"Right and does Jj speak or just stare?" Naomi glared noticing how his eyes were just slightly to close to her chest causing her to cross her arms in response.
"JJ gets shy around girls,"
"Right,"
"Do you want to see a magic trick?"
"Yes, why not,"
"What are you studying?" Elias asks causing her to turn away from Jj.
"History and politics,"
"You're studying politics?"
"Yes, problem?"
"Didn't have you down as the politics type,"
"Oh really and out of interest what did you have me down as?"
"One of those artsy pretentious fuckers," Cook interrupted the pair snorting loudly as he did so and my god at that moment Sally wanted nothing more than to slap that stupid smile off his face!
"Right well that is good to know, I'm leaving now,"
"But I haven't shown you the trick yet!" Jj speaks up waving his cards in the group's face.
"Sorry dude, maybe another time when you're not surrounded by pricks," Sally smiled sincerely before storming off away from the group of boys, blocking out the loud, obnoxious laughs from said group. God boys really are the worst.
note;
!!! Sally Cinnamon is the leader of the kill all men movement !!!
I am aware that cookie and sally kinda have a thing... right now, but I promise it's completely platonic!!
I love their relationship and I can't wait for you to see how it grows throughout this book.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter, even if it did take an entire year to finish, please vote and comment if you did 💖💖
