PART 4

Malia and I turned at the sound of footsteps and saw Scott walk in.

He looked at Tracy and then at us.

"It wasn't us." I tried to explain.

Following Scott came Stiles, Deaton, and Sheriff Stilinski.

"What the hell happened to her?" Stiles asked.

"There were these people." Malia replied.

"They had masks and weird weapons. They were three. Uh...they were really strong." I added with a trembling voice.

"What...what are you talking about?" Stiles asked frowning.

"There were three of them, they were big and we couldn't beat them. They killed her." I replied and rubbed my wrist which had marks.

"Okay, okay. Lia, it's okay." Stiles grabbed my hand.

"She's not changing back. We're going to need to get her out of here." Deaton spoke.

"What, hey. Absolutely not. This is the crime scene. We call the coroner." The Sheriff refused.

"I think the coroner might be very confused by this girl's severed reptilian tail." Deaton spoke.

"I don't care!"

"You should. Unless you're prepared to hold a press conference  announcing the presence of supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills."

Sheriff Stilinski sighed.

"Dad, he's right." Stiles told him.

"Maybe at the clinic we can figure out how to change her back then call the coroner?" Scott suggested.

"There's a line. There is a line that we have to draw."

"Dad, you've already crossed it. More than once." Stiles replied.

"Sheriff, please. Let me help. I've dealt with things like this before." Deaton spoke.

"Just do it fast."

Scott and Deaton carefully lifted Tracy's body and we left the station.

[...]

We were waiting for news about Lydia.

I was stressed and nervous. My hands were shaking and I closed my eyes. I felt someone grab my hand and looked at Theo.

"Everything's fine, she'll be okay." He tried to reassure me.

"I'm sure she'll be fine, she has to." Stiles added.

"Lia." Melissa walked towards us.

"How bad is it?" I asked.

"Could have been worse. Theo, nice going on that tourniquet. You probably saved her life."

"Thank you." I thanked him and he smiled.

I hugged him and he put his arms around me.

Scott and Liam arrived as I pulled away from Theo's arm, him keeping his hand on my back.

"All right, she's about to go into surgery, so it's going to be a while. Any other supernatural details that I needed to know about or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?" Melissa asked.

"It was the tail." Kira spoke.

"Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference." Scott added.

"Okay." Melissa nodded and left.

"But it wasn't just Tracy. There were the others..." Malia spoke.

"The guys in the masks, we saw them." I added.

They all looked at each other.

"You don't believe us?" I asked and they went silent. "Unbelievable."

I walked out quickly.

"Lia!" I heard Stiles' voice.

I kept walking towards the exit angry.

[...]

It was night. I turned around in my bed trying to fall asleep. I couldn't get the guys in masks out of my head.

I squeezed my eyes trying to fall asleep desperately.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps. A chill ran through me and I felt my blood run cold.

I tried to ignore it and squeezed my eyes tighter.

"It's not real, it's not real." I repeated.

Suddenly, I felt a hand grab me and I quickly sat up.

I looked around and saw nothing. I took a deep breath and ran my hands through my hair.

My phone started ringing.

Stilinski <3

I answered and put it on my ear.

"Stiles, it's like 3 in the morning, is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah...everything's okay." He replied and went silent.

"Okay great, good night."

"No, no, no, Lia. Wait."

"What?" I asked tired.

"I believe you."

"You don't have to."

"Lia, you're a phoenix, of course I believe you and besides you're my best friend, I trust you."

I smiled.

"Thanks, I guess." I chuckled softly.

"What are you studying?" He asked.

"Psychology." I replied.

"Really? I always thought you wanted to study acting."

"It was my plan, but I feel like I'll fail."

"Well, I think you can do it. I mean, you've always been in all the school plays and you're manipulative, actress material." He joked and I laughed. "No, seriously, Li. Give it a try, I know you can and if you don't, I'll be there for plan B."

"Thanks Stiles."

"It's no big deal."

We went silent for a few seconds.

"Stiles..."

"Yeah?"

I didn't have enough courage to say it yet.

"Good night." I spoke.

"Good night, sleep tight."

I smiled and hung up. I laid back down on my bed and sighed.

[...]

Malia, Stiles and I walked in the library and there was Kira and Scott.

"Did you get in to see Lydia?" Scott asked when he saw us and I shook my head.

"No, no one can see her, she's still in the ICU." I replied frustrated.

"But you're family." Scott frowned.

"Mom doesn't want me to see her yet."

"We got one thing." Malia spoke putting a book on the table.

"Anything in here about a half-werewolves, half-Kanimas?" Kira asked.

"The Chimera." Scott replied.

"Chi-what?" I frowned.

"Chimera. It's a creature made of incongruous parts. And if Liam said he found two burial sites, that means Tracy's not the only one."

"Who's the second Chimera?" Kira asked.

"And why would they bury them?" Stiles asked.

"Deaton thinks it's part of their process." Scott explained.

"The guys in the masks." I spoke.

[...]

The hospital's elevator's doors opened.

"This way." Melissa guided us. "He came in about 45 minutes ago."

Suddenly, there was screaming and we looked at each other.

"Melissa. I'm gonna find an anesthesiologist covering acute pain." A doctor spoke. "See what you can do."

It was Liam's father.

"Okay." Melissa nodded and he left.

We heard screaming again.

"Mom, what's happening to him?" Scott asked.

"It's the pain. Nothing's working. We already pumped him full of morphine."

"I can feel his pain from here." I pursed my lips.

I heard ringing in my ear.

"How can we help him?" I asked.

"We can put him in a medically-induced coma. It's how we help burn victims deal with the pain." Melissa replied.

"Let me see if we can help." Scott spoke.

We walked in the room.

"Please, make it stop. Please, make it stop." He repeated desperately.

Scott and I grabbed his hand. The black liquid began to fill our veins.

My eyes widened and I breathed heavily.

Scott let go off him but I kept holding the boy's hand. I had to take as much pain as I could. I squeezed my eyes and groaned in pain.

"Lia! Lia, let go!" I heard Kira.

"Lia!" Scott yelled.

I let go and felt everything go blurry. I lost my balance a bit and Scott and Melissa held me up.

"It's okay, careful." Melissa spoke.

They helped me sit down and I shook my head.

"I'm okay. Is he okay?" I asked getting up from the chair.

"Yeah, you took his pain." Kira replied.

"Good." I walked towards the boy.

"Show us his arm, mom." Scott spoke.

Melissa untied him and carefully removed the gauze covering the wound.

"Holy..."

The wound was horrible.

"Oh, holy God..." I lost my balance again and Scott held me.

"The lab says scorpion venom." Melissa explained.

"A scorpion didn't do that." I spoke.

"I know. But that's not the weirdest part. Because a sting this bad means that he should have been dead 10 hours ago."

"And the scorpion would have been about 10 feet tall." I spoke and she nodded.

"Please te me that doesn't mean there's a giant scorpion running around Beacon Hills." Kira spoke worried.

"Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised." I spoke.

"Luca...It was Lucas." The boy spoke.

"Corey. It's Corey, right?" I asked and he nodded. "What Lucas did to you, he's gonna do it to someone else."

"We need to know what happened." Kira added.

"I don't really know. He's never been like that before."

"Like what?" Scott asked.

"Aggressive. We were taking it slow, but it wasn't me. He was the shy one. Then we're hanging out today and it's like he was a different person." Corey explained.

"How?" I asked.

"Like, super confident. We were just kissing and then I felt this sharp sting on my arm and...And then I looked up at him and I swear his eyes turned black."

"You mean totally black?" Kira asked.

"The whole eye." Corey replied. "But it was only for a second. And then he said sorry, that he'll see me at the club tonight and then he just left. And then a few minutes later, I'm in the worst pain of my life."

"Hold on, what club?" I asked.

"Every Friday night. Sinema."

My face dropped.

"What's wrong?" Scott asked.

"Liam and Mason are there right now." I replied grabbing my things quickly.

"We'll catch up with you." Scott spoke and I nodded.

I got out quickly. I had to get there quick.

[...]

I was walking through the crowd looking for Mason and Liam. I sighed pushing people.

Suddenly, someone grabbed my arm.

"Wanna dance?" A boy asked.

"No thanks." I slipped out of his grip and kept walking.

I saw Kira and Scott walk in.

I heard roaring and looked around.

Brett.

I quickly ran, following the sound. When I got there I saw Brett on the ground.

I heard another roar and saw Liam.

I moved my hands and slammed Lucas against one of the pillars and ran towards Brett.

"Brett, are you okay?" I asked and saw a wound on his chest.

"You're good." He spoke and I smiled.

Lucas ran towards Liam and knocked him down.

I heard a roar and Scott pulled Lucas off Liam.

"You're a little late!" Liam yelled.

Kira took out her belt and it transformed into a sword.

"Are you all this amazing?" Brett asked.

Lucas threw Scott and Liam to the ground.

"Are you gonna help?"

"I'll do this first." I grabbed his hand and started taking away his pain.

I squeezed and wince. He sighed in relief.

"It'll help heal you." I spoke and got up.

Mason looked around scared. I moved my hands pulling him away from the fight.

"That was amazing." He smiled excited.

I smiled.

Lucas threw Kira to the ground. I moved my hands taking out the black mass. It lifted him up and then slammed him against the floor, knocking him unconscious.

"Done." I raised my eyebrows.

I heard a noise. I turned around and saw Kira who was surrounded by a bright force. She said some words that I couldn't understand.

"Kira." I stood in front of her but she pushed me and slammed me into a pillar.

I groaned and Kira raised her sword at Lucas.

"Kira!" Scott yelled and grabbed her hand stopping her.

Kira looked at him and the force around her disappeared.

Liam ran towards me.

"Lia, are you okay?" He asked.

My vision was blurry.

"Lia." Liam grabbed my face.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." I assured.

He helped me up and we all looked at Kira.

"Is everyone okay?" Scott asked.

We stayed silent. Kira looked at me guilty. I nodded letting her know it's okay.

"We need to get him out of here. Liam, give me a hand." Scott spoke.

Liam and Scott grabbed Lucas. Out of nowhere, a sharp object went through Lucas killing him.

I jumped scared.

We all looked up and there were the guys in the masks.

"Why did you do that?" Scott asked altered.

"His condition was terminal."

"What does that mean?" Scott asked but the people started to leave. "What does that mean?"

"Failure."

The lights flickered and they disappeared.

This looked like something out of a horror movie.
