Preference: Crushes (Lydia/Scott/Stiles/Allison\Isaac)

"Scott, what's wrong with me?! I'm having a problem," Stiles said desperately after he finished explaining his said 'problem' to his best friend. He was desperate and defeated and confused and he needed Scott's advice. Now.

Scott laughed. "Sounds like you're in love," he said simply.

"I'm in what?!" Stiles exclaimed nervously.

"Nothing to be freaked out about," Scott assured the boy. "It's just love. And she likes you back."

"Sh-she does?"

"Oh yeah." Scott smiled as Stiles sat there, awed. "You gonna call her?"

"Yeah. Doing that. Right now."

---

I smiled as Allison walked up. I loved seeing her in the mornings. And during school. And after. And at night. And any time I saw Allison I loved it, really. "Hey," I said, holding back from flirtatiously calling her beautiful. No reason to give away that I liked her.

"Hey," she responded. She smiled at me a second before coughing, looking down and rifling through her bag. "Hey, I have a project. A photography project. I need to take pictures of... You..."

"Me specifically?" I joked.

"Well... I mean, you fit the bill, so I chose you," she rambled.

"And what bill was that?" I asked, wondering what I was to her.

"Someone I cared about," she mumbled. "B-because were close, ya know?" She shrugged. I froze, choosing my movements very carefully.

"Why didn't you chose Lydia?" I asked. "Your best friend?"

"Because I care for you in a different way," she said slowly, her eyes still on the this in her bag. I wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her to me, pressing y, lips to her. She gasped, then reacted, leaning in and moving her lips against mine.

"I care for you too," I said simply. She was beaming at me. "And I would love to help you with your project."

---

"Hello," I said shyly as the cute boy came up to me.

"Hi," he said back, beaming. "I'm Scott."

"Y/n."

•••

"Hello," I said as the boy I'd had a crush on forever came up to me.

"Hi,  he said back, beaming as usual. "You look beautiful today, Y/n." I blushed and he started stuttering. "I mean you look beautiful every day. Well I - uh, you look nice."

I laughed. "Thank you, Scott."

He pursed his lips. "Do you have anything planned later?"

"Yes," I said firmly. His smile wavered then he nodded. "I'm going out on a date." His smile completely fell as his eyes looked down a second and the flickered back, his emotion showing a put down little puppy dog. "With you," I added. His eyes went wide. "Since you were obviously going to ask me and I was obviously going to yes, right?"

He'd wanted to ask her, yes, but he'd started doubting immediately and would have probably chickened out. Lydia had pointed it out to Y/n so she took the initiative to take the first step of given the chance. "Right," Scott agreed.

Very right.

---

"Ugly," one girl sneered.

"Bitch," I snapped back. My hands gripped my notebook and I slammed down into my seat, my anger red and hot and coursing through my veins. Isaac sat next to me, jut as angry.

"I'd rather be a bitch than a whore," She sneered back.

"I agree," Isaac snapped, not facing her. Y/n looked over at him for a second, surprised. "I don't know why you're friends with so many of them. They're the most annoying things. Like your presence."

Y/n felt better and turned forward, smiling, leaving the girl behind them gaping at Isaac.

•••

"You failed the test?" The boy asked, sneering. "Idiot much?"

"You're wasting your time to comment on that?" Isaac sneered in defense, slipping in before Y/n could even react. "Ass hole much?"

As always, Y/n smiled, more easily ignoring the insults the longer they came as not only she got used to them but Isaac always was there to defend her and leave the insulted stunned.

•••

"You're such a whore, Y/n," Travis sneered. He'd been the start of this. Y/n hadn't told Isaac but her and Travis had dated a while back and when she broke up with him because she realized she loved someone else - that someone being Isaac of course - Travis went on a rampage, turning everyone against her with gossip and rumors and lies.

"I'm surprised she's not pregnant," his bully friend agreed. Y/n ignored the, with no problem but as usually, Isaac was extremely bothered and he leaned into his desk viciously, trying to calm himself down and ignore it as well as Y/n had learned to.

"Shut the fuck up," Isaac snapped as Travis went to open his mouth again. "Unlike you, she's happy with her life. Get the fuck over yourself and stop being jealous just because she respected herself enough to dump your sorry ass." Then he turned back around, sitting there with clenched fists as Travis glared at him.

Y/n smiled over at him, finally understanding why he was always angry. Allison and Lydia had been right.

•••

After school, Y/n snagged Isaac and pulled him away from everyone. "What are you-!" He began.

Y/n brought him close, pressing their foreheads together. "I love you, Isaac Lahey. That's why I broke up with Travis. That's why I've been able to take all the insults and nasty remarks. I love you and I don't really care of you like me back but you should know either way and-"

Isaac interrupted her by pressing his lips to hers, silencing her.

And so they shared their first kiss. The first of many.

Lydia was helping with work. Again. I got it pretty well, but there were some minor things that I still didn't understand. She sat there patiently, walking me through it and seeing where I was and what I needed help on, obliging me just well enough. When I got it, she was very proud of me and I was excited to see her so happy.

AND I succeeded at something.

All because Lydia was so amazing.

•••

Y/n had been struggling with some research she'd been doing for the most recent beast. It had been a lot of park and she just couldn't get through everything.

Therefore, Lydia came to her rescue. As usual.

After she was done, she went back to Stiles, Scott, and Allison, back to their hang out. "You don't have to help her all the time you know," Stiles noted.

"I can't let an angel get lost," she said immediately, not even reacting or pausing before her responded. Stiles held his hands up in surrender.

•••

Lydia's phone rang. She answered it. "Hello?"

"Lydia?" It was Y/n. She sounded put of breath and was whispering, which was usually a bad sign.

"Where are you?" Lydia said, standing up and heading to her car immediately, knowing she needed help and just needing to know where to go.

"My house."

The strawberry blond girl was there in no time flat, racing upstairs to her room where she could hear sound coming from. The door opened and it was completely pitch black. Lydia stepped through. "Y/n...?" Lydia called out tentatively.

"Hey Lydia," came a familiar voice. It was Y/n. A shadow crossed behind Lydia and the for closed slowly. Lydia whipped around completely encased in darkness now. A flicker in her side vision caught her attention as a candle was light. She turned to face it.

Y/n placed a candle on the dresser by her bed, walking to Lydia slowly. Lydia wasn't nervous anymore. She walked closer as well, meeting Y/n in the middle as both pressed their lips together in a passionate kiss.

"Help..." Lydia mumbled. "You said you needed help?"

"Did I?" Y/n asked. "Oh yeah." She slipped her shirt off. "Help me, would you?" She asked, hooking her fingers in Lydia's belt loops and pulling her backwards towards Y/n's bed. Lydia smiled.

"I'm always free to helping you," Lydia said, repeating the answer she always offered when Y/n asked for her help.

"I love you, Lydia. I really do."

Lydia grabbed her face, kissing her again. "I've loved you since freshman year."

Y/n smiled. "Then this is a finally kind of thing, huh?"

"Oh yeah."

"Then finally."

"Finally," Lydia agreed.
