New Girl prt 3

I woke up in a house. That wasn't mine. I sat up slowly and looked around, not surprised when the head ache rolled over me. I scanned. No one.

As memories started coming back, I winced. I can't believe they were back. I'd had one last week too. This was... Great. Just great.

I slipped out of the house and made my way to the road where I started walking. I turned my nose to the air and began scoping out where I was and where my house was.

I walked home, thankfully running into no one. I kept all my senses tuned to my surroundings and my guard up. I had to disappear. I'd be here to fight Victor and kill him when he came back, but until then, I had to stay.... Somewhere.

I walked into my house and stopped. There was someone in here....

"Y/n?" Someone gasped.

I spun to the voice, and what I saw spread a mixture of joy, relief, and absolute and total fear.

"Sicily! What are you doing here?" I gasped.

Her brown hair and almost black eyes were gorgeous against her brown-sugar colored skin. She cursed in Spanish. "What the hell do you think I'm doing here?!"

It was inevitable. "I told out that the next time I saw you, I would kill you," I said, sorrow in my voice.

"I know. I'm hoping you'll keep to that promise." I cocked an eyebrow. "I... I want to die," she whispered. I gasped. "And if my death benefits the one person I love more than anything and anyone else, then..." She shrugged.

I looked away. "Sicily-"

"Shut up," she snapped. "Just kill me."

"Okay. Come on." I dragged her outside. "We can't do it in the house. If we do, it'll smell and I'll have to remember me killing you every time I walk in the doors." They'll smell it when they walk in. Trace it.  And find me.

We walked into the woods, and I drew out my knife. I turned to her. "This... Is going to hurt," I said.

"Still keep your knife in your left boot," she noted, smiling. I paused. Keep your dagger in your left boot.

I stepped back, hiding the dagger and wolfing out. "Who are you?" I growled. "You're not Sicily."

The person froze. "Of course I-" I lunged, pinning her to the ground.

"WHO ARE YOU?" I screamed.

"Woah woah!" Someone said. My head snapped to the voice. It was Stiles. "Don't hurt her!"

I looked down at the fake. The most or camouflage or whatever you call whatever they'd put on her to make her look like Sicily was gone. "Allison?"

She smiled at me sheepishly.

I shot off of her, looking at Scott. "You put your girlfriend in life danger? Why?"

"We used magic to mask her, make an illusion to see what you were doing here..." He explained. "We figured it had to do something with someone."

I thought through all my words. Nothing that says I was going to kill her. No wait. Never mind.

I looked at all the faces nervously.

"Who were you going to kill?" Derek demanded. "And why would they be so willing to let you?" I winced.

"I will only tell you this once," I growled. "Beware Victor. He will
come and try to kill you. You may not have to worry, but if you see him... Then... My point is that if you see him, you need to kill him or he will kill you."

I left out the part that if they did see them, it meant I was dead. I would fight him-if I didn't win, I didn't. Not like anyone would miss me anyway.

"Why?" Scott asked.

I hung my head.

"What did you DO?" Derek yelled.

I growled and glared at him. He growled back. "Woah woah woah!" Scott yelled, getting between us. We kept growling.

Suddenly Scott was all red eyed and Alpha. Derek backed down.

I spun around and walked away.

Sicily would show up any day now. I jut knew it. "Answer us!" Scott yelled.

I spun around. "MY PACK AND ITS BUSINESS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PACK AND YOURS." I screamed. "I'm sorry that Victor is bringing you into it at all... Kill him. That's all you need to know."

"Why us? Why here?" Lydia.

"I came here because... Because I thought... I heard about you guys. The mixed pack. I thought..." I shook my head. Everything had changed that first day and I realized that I couldn't be in any pack. Not with my story. Not with my background.

"You wanted to be part of our pack..." It was Scott. I looked away.

"It doesn't matter now."

"Did you need protection?" Derek still sounded like he was accusing me of something.

"I wouldn't have brought this to you if I wasn't sure it was over. The second I realized it wasn't over I made you guys keep away from me so that none of you would get hurt!"

"Why did you care about strangers?" That was Allison.

I looked at Stiles on instinct then looked away quickly, hoping no one would see. "I know what it's like to lose everything. To lose the people that mean the most to you and be thrown into a life that is hell. I know that you guys have been to Hell and back and you didn't need anymore."

"...That's really... Wow." I looked away.

"You were treating us like your pack even when we weren't. Even before we cared about you. You were putting Us before yourself back before I even knew you were of importance." Scott sounded both guilty and astonished.

I shrugged. "You can thank me later." I turned and began leaving again.

"Where are you going?" Stiles asked.

"I'm..." I sighed. "I'm leaving. I brought my problems here and now I have to take them away. Don't worry too much about Victor. I don't think he'll be a problem." I turned back. "there's just always a chance."

A chance I die.

"You're going to fight him. Areb't you?" Derek asked.

I looked at him for a long time. Then I nodded. Everyone but Derek gasped. "But you could-"

"I KNOW," I snapped. I eyed all of them very carefully. "Look around you. The people you love. Brothers," I pointed to Stiles and Scott. "Sisters." Lydia and Allison. "Lovers," Scott and Allison. "Friends." I gestured to all of them. "Or just-crushes." I left my hand down there, but Stiles looked at Lydia briefly before flirting back to looking at me. It hurt like a bitch but I swallowed my pain and looked at Scott. "This is your pack. You need to put them before anyone. No. Matter. What. If they got into this, they might die." I sighed. "I'm sorry I came here. I'm so sorry that I risked your whole town so that I could chance happiness. I'm so sorry."

"Don't-" Scott began.

"No, Scott. You have Allison. And Stiles. You have a life here. Even when you think it sucks, it's paradise to what I've lived through. I'm telling you, keep it. Appreciate it. Because, right when you think everything is amazing-" I looked into Scott's eyes, "you'll lose it all."

I turned and walked away.
