Hospitals

A/n: this is a Dylan ff for the recent stuff that happened with Dylan being in the hospital. So yeah.

-----

I hated hospitals.

I swore I'd never go in one ever again.

But here I was.

It was worth it, to be there for Dylan.

While shooting the last Maze Runner movie, Dylan got hit by a car in a stunt gone wrong. (A/n: correct me if that's wrong. That's just what I heard)

I sat in the waiting room now, just watching the clock as people bustled around.

The doctor came out and I shot to my feet.

"He's... still unconscious. We don't know where it's going but if he doesn't wake up in a day, we'll put him on support," the doctor told me. He had a pained expression on his face as I sunk back into my chair.

Okay. I could do this. Alright. Everything would be alright.

-a week later-

Dylan was officially in a coma. I was wrecked. I'd fallen asleep in the waiting room.

I woke up but didn't move, too groggy. Then I heard a familiar voice. Dylan's dad...?

"Has she been here all weekend?" He asked someone I couldn't see.

"She's been here all week," they responded.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Ugh... I stood as the doctor came out. It was the same Doctor who had been there since the beginning. At this point, he knew me by name.

"Y/n, I have some good news." He smiled.

I perked up. "Yeah?"

"He's approving. By a lot. He should be awake any second. You can go in now." He nodded and I heard him chuckle behind me as I took off running.

I hated being away from him. I slipped into the room and sat in my regular seat. I took his hand immediately and kissed his knuckles.

"Come on, baby. You have to wake up. I need you."

I sighed and laid my head down by his arm.

I was so tired....

------

I don't remember falling asleep, but I know that the hand brushing my hair woke me up. Someone cupped my cheek and I leaned in, sighing.

"What a lovely dream," I whispered.

"It's not a dream," a familiar voice said.

My eyes shot open and I looked at Dylan's gorgeous brown eyes, open and staring at me.

"DYLAN!" I shouted, wrapping my arms around him. I was sobbing and I leaned back to kiss all over his face while he chuckled.

The I stood back and slapped his arm playfully.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"Don't EVER do that to me again!" I croaked.

He pulled me close and kissed me on the lips. I smiled. "That feels so good..."

"Mhhm," he hummed.

I called the doctors and they came in to evaluate him.

But, not once, did Dylan's eyes ever leave mine.

Everything would be okay now. He was okay.
