Her Anchor (Stiles)
A/n: In rewatching the show from the beginning and I need some cute Stiles and Scott imagines so here ya go
My hand catches the boy's wrist in front of me, my grip too tight for a normal human's. He handles it well though, only frowning with concern at the wild panic in my eyes. "Scott this is a bad idea," I insist again. "I'm going to kill someone."
Scott's frowned deepened. "I thought that too my first full moon. And, lucky for me, I was at a party trying to pretend it wasn't going to happen. And I still didn't kill anyone." He said it with a grin that usually would have put me at ease but only irritated me. Sensing my negative reaction to his positivity, he sobered up and looked at me very seriously, facing me all the way. "This is a room full only of the people who know exactly what we're dealing with. Who know you. Your friends. Your ... your pack." My chest seized and he sighed. "That's a good thing."
Shaking my head, I pulled away. "I'll just go into the woods again and-"
"Run into trees and cut yourself up? Self abuse so that you won't do anything else? You may be more aware during your transformation was but you're still as out of control. Running into trees all night is-" he cut off as my eyes watered, his hard voice smoothing over as he grabbed my hands. "Look. Everything is going to be okay. We'll chain you up. Derek, Isaac, and I will all be there even if by some miracle you DO escape. You're going to be fine. We're all going to be fine. You can't hurt anyone."
This did relax me. Our conversation last week returned to me.
Do you trust me? He had asked.
It had been an almost impossible question to answer. I was a beta, in a pack again. I was part of something. A real family. Not the hungry need for control that my first pack was. Not that pack, which was made of beaten Betas and an alpha who simply liked to see strong people crumble to his power. Not the power play that Derek's pack was- not that I was ever really part of that pack. I hadn't been ready to be in a pack again and Derek kept proving me right. He had bad intentions. But Scott...
I... do, I'd answered finally, shocking myself and making Scott smile. Because I'd meant it.
Pursing my lips and setting my face, I nodded. "Okay, Alpha. Lead the way." This made Scott beam with excitement and I rolled my eyes. This actual five year old...
We got to Derek's hide out with time to spare. The sun was still going down and the moon wasn't even visible enough to pin point yet. Scott lead me inside where - as promised - there was Derek and Isaac waiting for us. I'd made Scott promise not to bring any humans. Not Allison. Not Lydia, who had been hovering and getting curious and hanging around more. Not even Stiles. Specifically not Stiles. I had made that very clear.
Derek greeted me with a melancholy head nod, but Isaac smiled and came over to hug me. Even though I'd never been in Derek's pack, I'd always been chill with Isaac. Even before he was a werewolf. Even before he knew I was. I'd seen the way he hobbled around and I could smell his pain and blood and misery. His fear. I took pity on him and did simple things. A smile. A hello. Common courtesies. When we'd been forced together under one roof he'd turned into a comforting familiar face and eventually we were talking about anything and everything. I guess he kind of became my best friend. He hugged me now and I immediately felt infinitely better.
And then I smelled it.
Pushing Isaac away gruffly, I turned to Scott. "You promised," I accused. My eyes flared their golden hue as my anger reared up, the moon making me even hotter and harder to control.
"Isaac NOW!" Derek shouted. Instantly Isaac latched onto me, forcing me against a column as Derek approached with the chains. Scott watched with a pathetically pained expression.
Lashing out, I kicked and growled and screamed and fought but I was nothing compared to the two - especially when Derek got serious and tied me with the chains. Anger turned to panic and agony and I screeched, "YOU PROMISED!" Scott took a step back, flinching. "I TRUSTED YOU! YOU PROMISED!"
"Do you really hate me that much?" Everything stilled. Mainly because I stopped fighting and Derek finally locked the chain. The two boys fighting me stepped to the side, behind me where I couldn't see them. Scott looked between the speaker and me but I couldn't look anywhere but him. "Do you so seriously detest me that you're... what? Scared you'll kill me once you lose control? Do you really want to so badly that you know you'll be too tempted to resist once you don't have humanity as a filter to stop you?" My chest burned and my brain swam in water. My nose was full of him. Of Stiles. He'd showered. The emotions were stronger though. The anguish and pain and hopelessness. The heart break. The wanting. My eyes could see nothing but him. His hair, which was growing out. His watery brown eyes full to the brim with hurt.
There was a flare of pure, white hot anger that burned so hard through me I had to close my eyes tightly, a small grunt passing my lips. Derek blinked, eyes wide as he took a step back. Isaac moaned, his hands going to his face. "What is that?" He demanded. Even Scott froze and then tilted his head, his body stiff and still for the first time since I'd met him, I was sure of it.
Derek was the one to answer his question. "It's... her." Isaac and Derek looked at me, eyes leveling as each came to understand what I was feeling, one at a time. Stiles looked between the four of us, totally confused. I shut my eyes tight, my golden eyes starting to glow as I grunted further, losing control as I pulled at the chains. I wanted him. I had to get to him. I HAD TO! "No way," Derek muttered. "Him?!"
Stiles' face twisted in irritation as Derek pointed at him accusingly, demanding an answer from me. "Me what? What did I do? D- Derek what did I do? Isaac?" He looked at each of them in turn but they didn't meet his gaze, just kept looking at me. I could feel them looking at me. "Scott?" He demanded next. Still no response. "Guys!"
The need intensified and the pain flared even further and my legs shook, wanting to buckle but unable as I was chained tightly while I was standing, keeping me there. "Leave," I begged, whimpering. Stiles moved towards me, flinching when I whined, almost moaning but more animalistic. Agony tore through me and my blood boiled. "LEAVE!" I shifted as I screamed, my nails and teeth getting longer and my hair growing. Scott moved in front of Stiles, Isaac and Derek shifting as well. Just in case.
Unsure of what to do, Stiles took a step back. "I- I'll just-"
Now everyone looked at him. Except me. I still had my eyes desperately closed. Just then my strength kicked in as the agony of him leaving overpowered the torture of him being here and the chains actually snapped. I didn't have time to think about it as Stiles gasped and I completely lost control, blacking out as the world around me became...
Nothing.
- 3rd Person POV-
Her golden eyes seemed to emit actual light they were so bright. Isaac and Derek went first, Scott the most hesitant of the group to attack her at all. Isaac swung a right hook and Derek ducked to attack her midriff and pin her. She maneuvered around them both, tripping Isaac so that he face planted into the wall and crumpled, a loud CRACK sounding as his head made contact with the concrete. Derek swerved and turned again so that now Scott and Stiles were behind her. Derek gave Scott a meaningful look and Scott broke out of his trance, nodding. They got ready to double take her. They both launched forward, her body twisting and turning to take them both on with surprising speed and agility. Stiles stared in total awe and admiration as Scott went flying, sliding across the ground after making impact that left the teenager trying to gasp for breath he couldn't totally grasp. Even against Derek, the super powered werewolf that had completely lost control was powerful enough to pin him under her, punching him senseless as she straddled him.
Calling her name, Stiles stepped forward, honestly worried about Derek's health as the older man finally blacked out. This made her stop, her eyes snapping up and finding him. She was on her feet in seconds and Stiles was pumped with pure fear. His heart hammered and raced and he couldn't breathe. His hands shook and his body was frozen stiff. What could he do anyway? Run? Fight? No of course not. His ramming, racing heart echoed its panicked beat in her ears and the girl paused, tense. Her head tilted as her eyes scanned his face. She shook her head, glaring as she approached him. Her clawed hands rose so she could strike the helpless human. Stiles whispered, his eyes closing and a tear falling from his eyes. "Please..."
The entire world stopped. Something huge and undeniable pulled at her mind, cutting through her haze and into her very core. She froze, her golden eyes wide and full of pain and fear and confusion. His heartbeat echoed again in her ears, his sporadic breathing hitting her senses as well. He was shaking. Scared.
Of me, she realized. He's terrified of me. Scared. Of me. Her head turned and she caught her reflection in the mirror-like subway window. It all hit her like a truck, what was happening. What she'd done and was now trying to do. But who wouldn't fear a monster?
She stumbled back, clutching her head and gasping desperately. Stiles opened his eyes in confusion more than anything. Gasping turned to whimpers and yelps of pain that slowly grew and got higher and more intense until she was part screaming and part howling. The whole room echoed and Stiles covered his ears as her legs buckled and she collapsed to the ground, her back pressing to the cold surface before it arched, her feet flat and her arms out to either side of her as the pain returned.
Without even thinking, Stiles' hands dropped and he raced forward and fell to his knees. He touched her and her senses were filled with him. Scent: him, everywhere. Sound: his heartbeat; his comforting, soft shushing; his breathing. Touch: the feel of his hands against her as he placed them on her shoulders, stilling her so he could pull her head into his lap, shifting so his legs were crossed. Sight: her eyes opened and she locked gazed with him, his concerned huge brown eyes filling all of her vision, his cream skin with those adorable little moles like unconnected constellations on his face. She found herself missing the taste of him, and wishing that he would kiss her. Wishing that she could feel his lips against hers and pull away to know what he tasted like. His lips looked so soft...
She calmed, sweaty and breathing super hard. He closed his eyes, relieved, and leaned forward so that his elbows rested on his knees on either side of her head, his hands gently brushing her face and neck and shoulders.
Scott finally caught his breath and Isaac finally came to again, his healing kicking in. Both boys searched for the girl, worried about Stiles after locking gazes and realizing they'd both been out of the count. The sight they saw made them pause, eyes widening for different reasons. Isaac's face screamed utter shock. HIM? REALLY? Scott, on the other hand, was a soft surprise. A happy surprise. Him? Really. They both relaxed, catching their breath. When Derek came to, he didn't even have to look over. The smell of emotions was enough. He groaned and Scott couldn't help himself- he chuckled.
Stiles sat up again, his hands still drawing lost patterns on her skin because it seemed to have the perfect effect on her. "What.... happened?" He asked finally.
Isaac groaned, mimicking Derek. "You SERIOUSLY still don't know?" Stiles shrugged, head tilted as a silent, sassy, 'well?!' came through all over his face.
Scott stood up, moving to his friend. "Stiles. Remember how Allison is MY anchor? Remember how we figured that all out and realized she was my strength? My stabilizer?"
"Yeah...?" Stiles offered slowly, his body relaxing and hope filling he eyes as he was starting to pick up on what they were implying. It made sense but he was so scared to take it for face value and he paused. He would be completely crushed if he was reading this wrong.
Derek sat up, an eyebrow risen. "You're her anchor." Stiles looked down at her. "It's her right to tell you exactly how she feels, but she feels something and it's strong as hell."
A moan escaped the girl, whose head was still in Stiles' lap. Her eyes closed tightly and Stiles' thumb ran across her cheek. Like magic, she calmed again. It was chilling to see how much of an effect he had on her. It made him a little giddy and he smiled.
She liked him back.
"Well," Derek huffed as he stood. "Let's give the kids their privacy."
Isaac looked over. "What if she looses control again?"
Scott grinned. "Then we'll try to get in here and stop her and she'll beat our asses again and Stiles will be the only one to calm her." He and Isaac stood as well. "Come on, Lahey. You'll understand one day. No one takes a werewolf like an anchor who loves you back."
When the three other men were gone, Stiles looked at Y/n. She rose her hands to cover her face and Stiles chuckled. "No point hiding from me, your secret's out." She groaned again. Stiles moved her head on the ground softly and then maneuvered quickly so he was over her, a knee planted between her legs and another on the outside of her right leg and his elbows planted on either side of her head. She opened her eyes and their gazed locked. She froze, her breath caught in her throat. He was so close...
Then Stiles saw the need in her eyes and understood it for what it was for the first time and, with his heart in his throat, he leaned down and kissed her. She reached out slowly, her brain seeming to have a hard time catching up to reality. Her hands finally found the back of his neck, her fingers pushing into the small hairs there. She tugged and Stiles caught his breath.
When he felt her nails turned to claws, Stiles leaned back. "Whoa."
Her eyes closed tightly. "Sorry. The moon, I-"
Stiles laughed and she opened her eyes, surprised. "I've seen Scott melt down every time he touches Allison and to think someone... feels for me, what he feels for her. I just- wow." The girl blushed and Stiles sighed. "I love you too." Her gaze widened and he shrugged. "I've kind of had a crush on you since, like, third grade. When you joined our little group and became a wolf with all the others... I don't know. I got to really know you, up close and personal. I fell hard, and fast. And honestly the thought of you hating me made me sick but I- you don't and that's- you have no idea how awesome that is I just-"
The girl laughed, shaking her head. "You're cute when you ramble."
"Is this the part where you, like, become my girlfriend or like-?"
"OH MY GOSH IT'S SO PAINFUL!" Isaac and Scott laughed just as hard as Stiles and the girl that was now his. When he loooed at her, that occurred to him. Derek's outburst had been funny but accurate.
With his gaze on her, she looked back. "Yeah," she affirmed. "This is that part."
"Good," Stiles sighed, kissing her again. Her eyes flashed and Stiles leaned back fast. "Aaaaanx I will kiss you more tomorrow."
The girl blushed. "Probably best."
Tomorrow was just a few hours out of reach, but as Stiles and the girl he'd been head over heels for forever - the girl he could now call his girlfriend - stepped away from each other, the others came in she was hand cuffed down for the rest of the night and watched not so closely by Isaac, Derek, and Scott. Stiles sat next to her, holding her hand and keeping her soothed with his touch. But he wanted to kiss her again. So badly. And she felt the same, every once in a while reminding him to calm his hormones the fuck down because his smell was driving her crazy (adding much to Derek's very loud complaining).
Man. Tomorrow couldn't feel further away.
