A/n: This is for a special friend. I promised her a lot of things and I broke almost all of them. I guess the one thing I can do is finally write that imagine I owe her. Love you, @MRSXOBRIEN

-Lara's POV-
I glared at the phone, hating him. He did this to me. I texted Stiles and he came over. As I opened the door, I busted up crying. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. "What happened. Who did it? Who do I have to murder?"
"M-Matthew b-b-broke up with me-e-e," I sobbed. "For another g-g-g-girl."
Stiles pushed us inside a bit and closed the door behind us. He guided me to the couch where I curled up in his arms. "I'm here, Lara. Tell me everything."
Instead I sobbed. He didn't complain and instead held me, loving me. He was such an amazing friend... He ran his hand through my hair, soothing me. He whispered warm words and kissed my forehead. "Why do we love horrible people?" I asked.
"I don't know... I read somewhere that we accept the love we think we deserve. You know, I bet he thinks that he doesn't deserve love at all. I bet he's running, shutting himself from any affection and relationship out of fear."
"Sound like Matty," I said, sighing.
"You deserve someone better than that. And you'll meet them, because you're too amazing to not be with someone as good as you are." I looked up at him, smiling.
"Thanks, Stiles."
"Anytime, Lara."
-three weeks later-
"I guess so, huh?" I said, nudging Stiles and laughing. The mood broke immediately as Matthew walked by, arm in arm with a pretty brunette girl. He looked unhappy, tormented. Like how he always looked. Too bad I didn't see that sooner...
"You know, I hope he finds someone. Someone to make him happy," Stiles said, looking after them.
I thought for a moment. "You know... So do I. Really." I looked at Stiles and we both smiled. "Like I found you."
"What?" Stiles asked, shocked.
"I... I like you, Stiles. I have for a while. I dated Matty to get over you, but... I like you. A lot."
"I... I like you too." He beamed at me, overly happy and practically glowing. "Can I kiss you?" I laughed, nodding. He leaned over the table and did just that. Stiles and I couldn't have been happier, and we stayed that happy, and sometimes more.
And, one day, I found out what love really was. To feel it for someone, and to have that someone really feel it back. I never thought about Matthew again.
