I: I mean no but I'm sure they wouldn't be doing those stupid family outings without her

I: I mean, not exactly. I didn't think anything was wrong with you but these freaks flipped so I came

St: Maddie? Please let us in

The group looked at each other as the girl didn't answer.

"So,etching is really wrong," Lydia voiced. Not even Isaac argued now.

"Maddie has depression," they heard a voice. They all looked over to see Logan, Madison's brother. "Please just leave her alone. She doesn't want to see you..." Then he went back inside.

"Nothing wrong with her?" Lydia snapped at Isaac.

"How would I have known?" He snapped back.

"What are we going to do?" Stiles asked.

Allison sighed. "There's not much we can do... Except hope and try and cheer her up when we see her. Let her know we care. Be her friends." She shrugged.

Stiles rubbed his face. "So we just have to sit back and wait?" He asked.

Lydia poured. "I- I guess?" She whispered, holding herself.

The pack left, not sure what to do at that point except standing there. They'd see her in Monday at school and confront her then...

Madison didn't show up to school on Monday.

Madison's parents pulled her out of school, planning to homeschool her as word had it.

She didn't help the pack. She didn't talk to the pack. She never came out of her room.

----

One day, Madison was gone, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

If only they'd helped her. Not walked away. Maybe it would have been different. Maybe if her family had taken it seriously it wouldn't have consumed her as she tried to hide it. Maybe if she wasn't so scared of it she would have dealt with it better.

I guess we'll never know.
