"I think it would be better if we tried that instead," Derek sighed, glaring at Scott.
I sighed and stood. They'd been arguing for literally three hours. "I'm tired of this," I told them. "My mum is waiting for me and I have a lot of studying to catch up on. When you have an actual plan, come and get me." Then I left.
"I want to be mad at her," I heard Scott say with my super hearing. "But she sounds so hot with that accent..."
"Scott!" Kira interjected.
"He's got a point," I heard Liam put in.
"Finally something we can agree on," Stiles sighed.
"Not important." Derek mumbled it because he knew I was listening, but I caught it.
I smirked to myself. I got away with too much...
---
"You're really hot. Anyone ever tell you that?" Then whispered.
I growled. "This pretty face has a bite. Anyone ever warn you about that?" I sneered.
"I like your eyes. They glow so blue..."
"Shut up, Theo," I snapped, turning and walking away.
"Look, I need you to-" he grabbed my arm and I turned around, bearing my canines.
"Let. Me. Go," I said dangerously. Theo dropped my arm, putting his hands in the air in surrender and taking a step back. Then I walked away.
----
"I think that we should-" I began.
"Shut up!" Jackson yelled. "You've been putting in all evening and no one has liked any of your ideas. You're just a pretty face! Stop trying to be helpful because you suck at it." He glared at me and I sat there, very still.
"Fuck you, your arse," I snapped. I waited for someone to support me, but no one spoke up. Did they all think this...? I stood. "Fuck all of you." I ran outside and into the rain. I was racing through the woods, my feet hitting the dirt hard. I knew where'd they be...
I pulled short as I saw them. The newest threat. It stood there in front of me. It was a chimera, and no one had known had to defeat it. I knew about Chimeras but no one had taken me seriously, shooting my ideas down again and again. If they wouldn't work with me, I would defeat the stupid thing by myself.
I coached, glaring at the chimera through my eyelashes. I felt myself change and knew my eyes were glowing that omega blue. It growled at me and I lunged. The fight began. The pack had never let me fight, always finding some excuse to keep me back. Now I knew why. I was done waiting. I can't ups do it, I knew I could.
I kept my eyes on the heads and the tail. Those things were most important. If I could somehow get under the chimera it would be taken off guard. Then if I could stab it...
I launched myself at a branch, pulling my force and weight into the branch and snapping it. Yes! It came off sharp! Score... I whipped around and ducked as the beast tried to attack me, rolling. I landed on my feet, standing and having to turn it into a jump as the chimera tried to hit my feet with its tail. It was keeping me on mine toes. Would I have the chance to form a plan?
Then I thought about the trees. If I could just get it stuck in the low branches. I smirked. I raced the other way and enraged, the Chimera followed. I raced up a rocky hill and it kept following. I turned to look back to see where it was... PERFECT! There was wood from a fallen tree. The log was split at the end. I jumped down on the other side and waited until it was right over me. Then I jumped, shoving the beach into the beast's underbelly and swinging my legs so it twisted and pulled the chimera down.
I let go, barely avoiding the tail lunging out for me.
The Chimera dropped to the ground. Big mistake. The branch went through even more, pushing it into what I assumed was it's lungs. Or maybe it's stomach area, where all the vital organs were. I jumped up again, balancing on the dye of the log. The chimera was now under me and when I jumped, the thick log groaned. I jumped again and again until it tilted forward. Then I scrambled to get away as it crashed down on the Chimera, either impaling it or crushing it.
I landed in a crouch, on my feet. I stood still for a long time, watching the unmoving beast for a long time. When it stayed unmoving, I stood. Immediately I wobbled, a burning pain wracking my side. I winched, holding where the Chimera must have gotten me with a claw. I brought my hand away to see blood. I couldn't go home like this...
I went back to the house where everyone was and snuck into the kitchen.
"I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SAID THTA TO HER!" Stiles was yelling.
"You thought the same thing!" Jackson yelled back.
"Guys the Chimera is still out there! Arguing about who was shocked when Jackson said what he said isn't going to do anything!" This was Malia. It seemed they'd been arguing for a while.
"Guys," Derek snapped. "She can hear you."
"She's here," Scott confirmed. They all rushed into the kitchen and gasped. I'd taken my jacket off and lifted my shirt, dealing with the cut. I was currently sewing it together. I was finishing up as they came in and they got to see the whole mess.
"Hello," I said dismissively, cutting the cord and grabbing the rag to wipe the blood from my skin. I clenched my jaw as I touched the wound, refusing to flinch.
"Holy shit," Jackson whispered.
"Don't worry about the Chimera," I growled, dropping my shirt and pushing past all of them. "I killed it."
"You did WHAT?!" Scott breathed.
"Would you like to see or are you going to stand there gawking?" I snapped. I was no longer being Miss Nice Girl. They silently followed. As we tracked through the woods, there was no noise except the tipping feet that followed me. When we got to the Chimera, I dropped down and folded my arms, looking at it. I heard a few gasps.
I spun to look at Jackson. "Am I still just a pretty face?" I sneered, glaring.
Jackson looked terrified.
"Now you're hot and scary," Derek commented. He had his arms folded and a smirk on his face. "I knew you could do it. That's why I didn't alert them when I followed you. Told them you went home... You're fighting skills are extremely impressive..."
I smirked. "Thank you, Derek. Good night." I winked at Derek then turned and left.
I think I liked being the only British person in the pack...
