I watched Bree's breath fly away in the night air. I let out a small laugh as I looked down the dark alley that lead to the loft. I was really upset that I couldn't tell her that I really liked her, but this was a ver pressing issue. Derek needed to be safe, and he was important to my survival.

Then it hit me; Deucalion could kill us. I looked at Bree, but she was looking the other way. I cleared my throat.

Bree looked at me. "What is it?"

I smiled as I looked at her. "I've never really stayed up till dawn. You know, with not being a human-eating werewolf and stuff."

She smiled and looked away. "It's not that bad. You just have to keep yourself awake mentally."

"Oh." I nodded as I looked down the alley. "I think I can do that."

"Pinching yourself every twenty seconds will work. As long as you keep pinching yourself."

I took a deep breath as I shivered. "Do you know anything about this Deucalion guy?"

She shook her head. "He just tried to have me kill my Alpha once. I don't really know why." 

I turned to her and lowered my eyes. "So, uh... this guy is very dangerous." 

"Uh-huh." 

"He could... kill us." I lowered my eyes.

Bree turned to me and slowly nodded. "Yup."

I pursed my lips. "We could... die and never have finished our business with other people."

Bree raised a brow.

I looked at her. "You're very beautiful." I smiled. "Very."

Bree half-smiled. "Thanks."

"I mean it."

Bree paused. "Thank you..."

I took a step towards her. "Bree... I uh..."

She locked her gaze with mine.

"Uh..."

"Uh?" She tilted her head in one direction.

"I really like you. Like, a lot. So much that..." I paused and just stared at her.

"That what," she whispered.

"That I really want to kiss you, but I don't want you to get the wrong idea. If you were my girlfriend, I would get you flowers everyday." I lowered my eyes. "I would do many things for you because you'd be my girlfriend. And because you're beautiful."

Bree lowered her eyes and smiled. She took a step forward and looked at me, locking her gaze with mine. "Well, you are a very sweet boy."

I let out a small laugh. "Thank you. I hardly ever get that compliment."

She grinned and nodded. "You are also a very hott boy."

I grinned and let out another small laugh. "That's a compliment that I hardly ever get."

She smiled. "And I kept telling myself that if I could date anyone, it would be you."

I blinked, pausing. I smiled. "I always thought that you would choose someone like Derek. For the longest time I thought you were into him."

She shrugged. "I was for a day or two, but I didn't really want to date him seriously or anything."

I pursed my lips and looked down. I stepped forward, locking my gaze with hers. I left no room between her and me. "So does that mean... I can kiss you?"

She grinned and nodded. "Indeed."
