Chapter 9 - sᴀᴅ ɢɪʀʟ, ʙᴜᴛ ɴᴏᴛʜɪɴɢ ɴᴇᴡ.

"When you can tell a story and it doesn't makw you cry, that's when you know you've healed."

Taryna

With my back on the bed and Hamburger on top of me, I stared at the ceiling of my room and pet Hamburger. I didn't feel well the last few days, could be, because tomorrow 9 years ago the Hale house burned down, where my mom died.

Could be also, because of the things that happened at the motel two days ago with Scott.

Since we were back, I haven't gone to school. My dad understood it fully, he always said the school could wait.

On all other days I would take medicine for something, even though my cousin kept asking me if I really didn't want to take some, but  I couldn't, at least not today.

My older cousin needed help.

Yes, I said my older cousin, also known as Tommy Carvera, although he doesn't live in this house anymore. He lives with his wife and new born baby.

Although I was angry at him, I accepted this "job".

Why you ask?

Let's start by saying that he can be an ass sometimes. And he doesn't help his younger brother, Damian Carvera (Taryna's cousin from the last chapter), or even asked about him since his mother died.

Although I hate to yell at people or even talk to people, I yelled at him a few months ago because he just got worse and worse.

But now he tries to be better than how he was.

I know what you're thinking, right now, at the time a 16 year old shouting at her older cousin?

I know, I know, disrespectful. But someone had to do it, my family thought it was really rude of him what he was doing, but they didn't dare to say anything about it.

My aunts thought it was disrespectful and my uncles thought it was honorless.

I don't really have any respect, or maybe I have some, but at some moments I forget them and just say my opinion because it is disrespectful of the person.

We don't want to talk about honor.

But in the end, my family thanked me because it was really time that someone did it.

"Taryna, should I drive you?", My father asked me caring and came into my room after he knocked.

I glanced at him for a moment.

"No thanks, there's a lot of traffic jam right now, that's because why Tommy needs me, patients are taken from another hospital to ours, and also an accident happened," I told him dearly, then sent him out to deal with me but first I had to get rid of the barrel.

I put on random daily clothes, a pastel colored, yellow t-shirt with "normal day" on it, and blue jeans.

That's it.

Although I would like to take hamburger or hot dog with me, I couldn't again, because when I'm at the hospital I wouldn't have time for one of the them.

I took my little backpack with me, where my keys, my cell phone, although I hear music anyway, and my purse fit in, but I didn't mind.

It looked cute though.

Before I went to the hospital, Tommy called me and asked me to bring him food. Because I felt caring right now, I brought him food and coffee.

When I arrived, it looked like sheer chaos at the entrance. There were many injured people next to the reception, which tried to talk to one of the nurses.

I immediately went into the room where I could find Tommy, as I didn't want to waste any time.

When I found Tommy, he didn't have his Doctor Jacket thingy on because he was about to take a break, but then the phone call came in, one and a half hours ago, that people from the other hospital were taken to the Beacon Hills Hospital because a Doctor disappeared.

He was helping someone who had breathing problems. I waited somewhere in a corner until he was done with her.

When he finally finished, he put on his Doctor thingy on and came to me with a smile.

"Hey, I hope it's okay what I brought you," I greeted him and gave him his coffee and food.

"Thanks," he thanked him and looked into the bag.

I stayed shy next to him, I didn't want to stand in the way, because they already have enough problems here.

"Wow, a hamburger, fries and two cinnamon rolls, do you love me again?" Tommy asked, grinning.

"Maybe, maybe not", I answered his question reasonably and then went to the front desk, because he explained to me that there is currently a lot going on there.

He added that I can use my powers if I want to, but I should be careful.

Yes, I would have used my powers one way or the other.

After all, it's about people's lives, not homework.

It took half an hour since I helped Melissa, Scott's mother, and two other nurses, and besides, I took pain out of the patients or healed little children, so they wouldn't have to suffer.

Melissa was on the phone right now, looking frustrated.

When she hung up, she let us know that Dr. Hilyard needed some time because there was a traffic jam in front of her.

When Melissa started writing down something about a patient, I realized that she still hadn't eaten yet.

"Melissa, if you want, you can have my Cinnamon Rolls," I said, slipping the bag of cinnamon rolls in her direction.

"It's Alright, Scott is a bit late and you're probably hungry yourself," she tried to talk herself out, because she knew that I actually got it for myself.

"It doesn't matter, you need some strength to survive this mess, besides, I've already eaten at home, I didn't want to make it look like I went to buy food for my cousin," I told her with a grin.

She hesitated a bit, but then took it as I pushed it closer to her.

"I owe you something, maybe I can redeem you soon," she said to me, winking at me.

I had to laugh a bit, but had to go right back at my work.

I realized that I was getting weaker because it was maybe too much for me, after all, I use my powers ten times more than usual in the last few weeks.

But of course I ignored it, when a little girl, maybe four or five years old, needed my help.

"What's going on?" I asked her, when I saw that her mother was talking to Melissa.

Melissa knew about my powers, after all, Scott told her everything and often helped him in such a moment. Just like me, she talked to the little girl's mother, so that I could help the girl in front of me.

"I have a headache and stomach ache," she answered sweetly and looked sadly at me.

She really didn't look good, maybe she got sick from the constant change in the weather.

"It's going to be all right," I told her softly and smiled at her, holding her by the arms, to do a spell on her.

It didn't take long, maybe half a minute, until I finished and then let her go.

She smiled at me and was glad when the pain was gone. Her eyes were priceless.

She thanked me and hugged me tightly.

Oh my god, I'm too young. Too young to want a child.

"Olivia, leave the poor girl alone, she has to do her job to help the other patients", her mother warned her and gave me an apologetic look.

She only got an "It's okay" from me as the little girl kept hugging me.

When she finally let go of me, though I don't want to complain, and addressed her mother.

"Mommy, Mommy, she's a princess. She helped me!" She yelled happily to her mother.

No, still too young.

It went on for another half hour and it didn't calm down, in contrast, it got more chaotic and I got a headache, which I still ignored.

I just carried a new box of medicine out of a room, because they needed it in the front. We tried to provide people with normal pain with medicine, so we have an overview of who was sent from the accident and who not.

Because the box is so big and I'm so small, I couldn't look forward but down, but it didn't help.

I ran into someone, if the person had no quick reflexes, I would have fallen down with the box in my hand.

"Sorry," I repeated for the second time, until I looked the person in the eye.

It was Scott.

Holy, tomato.

"It's .. it's alright," he said only, holding on to me.

We stopped for a few more seconds and continued to look in each other's eyes until Melissa cleared her throat with a grin.

Embarrassing!

Unpleasant, we took a little distance from each other. Embarrassed, I put a single strand of hair behind my ear.

That was embarrassing...

Scott gave me another smile, which melted me inside.

Hopefully Scott won't pay attention to my heartbeat.

Melissa gave us confused looks, but started telling her son what had happened.

"And now my cousin is the only doctor in this hospital," I added.

He looked at me in astonishment, then looked at me in shock.

"You're bleeding," Scott clarified, but it wasn't the only thing we needed to worry about.

Because Aiden stormed in desperately, supporting Danny with one arm, who didn't look very good.

Scott stormed over to them and helped Aiden drop Danny into a chair.

"What did you do ?!" Scott shouted at Aiden.

"I didn't do anything, I found him like that," Aiden shouted back at him.

I went between the two before one of them attacked the other.

"He can't breathe," Melissa said worried, feeling his neck.

But I didn't get much of the situation, everything started spinning and I felt bad.

Luckily, Scott noticed it and caught me before I fell to the ground.

"Your girlfriend can't help us right now, what can we do now?" Aiden asked in panic.

We didn't correct him because firstly I was too weak and secondly we had to think.

The next moment, we stood in an empty room. I tried to help somehow, but Scott didn't let me help with my condition.

He didn't want me to pass out or, worse, die.

When Melissa successfully helped Danny, I was sitting in a small room, that is actually for doctors. I dabbed the blood away and sat next to the window where I looked out.

Considering what happened the last few days between Allison and Scott, I told him that I preferred to be alone because I didn't.want to get even more feelings for him because he is so cute when he was worried.

But like how he is, he didn't wanted to leave me alone, Scott didn't leave until my cousin was next to me, even after then he didn't wanted to go, till Tommy told him that my dad will be here soon.

"I told you not to overwork, how did it happen that you forgot?" My cousin asked me worriedly and put a glass of water next to me.

"Maybe because I walk up and down the stairs all the time, if you notice there are a lot of floors in this hospital and I'm afraid of elevators," I said sarcastically, which wasn't really a lie.

"You can't take it seriously for one second, do you?" Tommy asked me with a brow up.

I pretended to think, then nodded, grinning.

"Well... I don't take my life serious, if this answers your question", I said grinning.

I love to provocate him.

"Where is she?" I heard my father's voice saying as he opened the door.

I looked at him confused, how the hell was he here so fast?

Tommy noticed my gaze, which he gave me, at least, an answer to a question I put in my head.

"I called him right when Melissa told me, not after I told you guys" he told me.

Damn it on phones!

"You're alright now, kiddo?", My father asked and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm alright, dad," I answered his question.

"Really?" He asked me again as we went downstairs.

Maybe he looks like he's going to hurt someone in a second with his bare thumb, but he was soft inside and was afraid of elevators himself.

"sí", I said with a grin and then ran out with him, but stopped when I found Scott and Aiden standing next to their Motorcycles.

I wanted to tell him bye, but then I saw a car driving in slalom, which is pretty unusual.

"Wait here," my dad said, heading to the car.

But when the car drove in against a parked car, we ran to the car.

"No one there," Ethan said confusedly, looking confused at Scott, Scott looking at me, but I didn't know what that meant either, so I looked over to my dad confused.

"I guess it doesn't mean anything good," my dad said, looking at the car from the inside.

Scott opened the door on the side of the steering wheel and found a moth there.

I called Sheriff Stilinski, who told me that nobody should touch anything.

He couldn't tell me that earlier, right?
