Chapter 7 - ɪ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ғᴇᴇʟ sᴏ ɢᴏᴏᴅ
"you know what's so unique about you, you're too lost to be found and too intense to be loved. not every one can understand you, that's your strength"
Taryna
I looked confusedly to Stiles and Scott from time to time. My patience was over, even though we didn't even arrive.
Scott was still hurt, so I literally, had to stop Isaac and Boyd every minute, before they attack Ethan.
We all know how it would turn out, right?
Besides, I still couldn't believe that Derek is dead.
I don't want to believe it, he wasn't dead. I mean, it's Derek.
He is not. It can't be true.
I tried not to cry, but to stay strong.
After I got a bad feeling yesterday at school, when I ran out of gear against Scott, I used a location spell on Scott last night, when my feeling didn't go away.
As always, my feelings were right. In conclusion, there was a fight between the Alphas, Scott and Derek, as well as Derek's Pack.
I hid upstairs with Allison and watched them until we realized that one of our people was going to die, if we hadn't intervened.
She used her arrows and I used a spell, that helped them.
And now we sit, a few hours later, in this stupid bus for a trip.
Actually, I was here only to look after Scott, but I was sitting in front of Isaac and Boyd, next to Freddie, who, also, put her head on my shoulder because she was still tired. There was also one of Willow's "friend" in front of us, who "sings" with headphones on, if you can call it singing.
Willow had no real friends, but stalkers, fans, whatever you want to call it. Even though she looked like everyone else, she was like Jackson, but more arrogant and less Porsche.
"Watch out, Taryna, you're anger is showing again," Isaac commented, only to realize how I felt.
"Shut up, Isaac", I only said about it and gave him a look.
He grinned slightly, but lost it when he noticed Boyd. Confused, I gave them a glance until I noticed Boyd's look.
He was angry.
A lot.
"Not now," Isaac warned him and continued to look at him.
I just watched them, till I noticed Ethan was listening to us discuss with one another.
"Why not?", Boyd asked us and kept looking straight ahead, about to transform.
"Because we're in a school bus full of people, and we have enough problems already," I whispered.
Fortunately, Willow's "best friend" had headphones on and listened to loud music.
Luckily, I convinced him and he calmed down after a while, after I mentioned Derek's name.
"Could you-" I started, but Isaac interrupted me again, as I wanted to ask him for the twentieth time.
"Scott is still injured, and he still be in the next ten minutes, like before," Isaac continued to answer my question.
I love him for not being so bored when I ask him a thousand questions.
I sighed, why couldn't he heal, even though Boyd and Isaac are already healed?
Why did I let Scott go to this meeting anyway?
☆ yesterday ☆
I wiped away my tears, as well as Masilya did.
"But I love your daughter, Mr. Gonzalez," said the main character from our favorite telenovela with a strong accent.
"He loves her!" Almost all females in my family shouted at the TV.
There were just nine people, plus myself, sitting in the living room watching a new episode of our favorite telenovela.
Pretty much every Wednesday afternoon it looked the same in the house. The female parts of the family sat in the living room, screaming at our poor tv. The males are in the garden, playing with my cousins, as well as my brother, football, after work.
When the door rang, none of us got up because we have a "door system".
We were eight "children" in the house.
Enzo, Leo, Masilya, four other cousins, who are also idiots, and me.
Because I'm the older one of them, I'm the first to open the door no matter where I'm in the house, then Masilya, then Leo, and so on. You already understood it, right?
Anyway, it was my brother's turn, right now. That's why my oldest aunt called out of the sofa straight to the garden to Leo.
Leo came in sighing and opened the door.
I continued to stare at the TV and cuddle up to my cousin, Masilya, who had a blanket on herself.
"Your telenovela has too much drama in it," commented my younger brother, Leo, leaning against the doorframes, grinning.
"Oh yes, you say, Drama Queen, who screams like a baby, when someone uses your hair gel," Masilya finished him laughing, almost falling off the couch.
Laughing, I turned back to my brother to know what he would like to say next.
When Leo didn't know how to comeback at her, he turned to me, to tell me someone was there for me.
I got up and headed for the front door, wiping away the tears.
Who will come at this time?
I opened the door which my brother half-closed.
Oh my god.
Why did he have to be here, when I'm in my pajamas?
Then there are also donuts and teddy bears on it.
"Are you okay?" Scott asked directly as I opened the door.
My precious baby ...
I could cry, BECAUSE he asked this question.
"I'm fine, don't worry, I'm watching a telenovela with my family and I'm too emotional," I told him, wiping my cheek, which is already red from crying.
God, I hate to cry.
Scott glanced at me questioningly, as if he didn't know what telenovelas are.
"Don't tell me, you don't know what telenovelas are", I commented shocked at his look.
He gave me an innocent smile, because he was a little embarrassed.
Oh honey, I didn't meant it like that.
After he agreed, that we definitely had to watch it together, we went up to my room, because the episode was already over and our family listened to us.
"So ... why are you here?" I asked him curiously.
Scott stopped in one spot, still looking around in my room. I, on the other hand, sat on my bed and smiled at him.
"I know, you where there at the night, when Allison broke Boyd and Cora loose, at school", he told me serious and showed me "my" book.
"It could be from the library," I tried to talk myself out.
Scott told me with a slight grin, "I don't think our school library has any Latin and French spells about breaking bones, killing anyone, healing and other stuff."
I looked at him in surprise, how did he know that?
"I looked it up," Scott clarified, smiling at me.
Wow, that must have been a lot of work.
"Oh ... yeah, maybe you're right," I then commented about it, pondering something to find an excuse, but found none.
I got up and tried to hide my spell books.
"So, why are you here? Just to tell me that?", I asked him and pulled up a brow.
"A whole alpha Pack is in our city, I just want you to be safe, not get yourself killed. And they are also pretty terrifying", he told me and looked at me, again, with his puppy-face.
Oh no.
Not the puppy-face.
"Well, I trained a lot recently, I helped Derek, and I also helped you guys with the twins, so I can take care of myself", I told him amused and crossed my arms over my chest.
"I know, but they are still wolfs," Scott tried to explain.
Isn't he cute?
"If I want, I can take you out," I said with a grin.
Scott looked at me in surprise and didn't know exactly what to say, so he had to grin more.
"Me?" He asked me with a grin.
"You think I don't have a chance against you, after everything?", I asked him a little upset.
"I didn't say that," Scott said, biting his lip slightly.
"My dad trains me, he was a soldier and took a lot with him, my grandfather was also a hunter and showed me a lot, besides, I know new spells," I told him confidently.
Wow, I'm doing too much sport right now.
"What if you forgot a spell? I still have my super strength," he said.
I considered something until something came to my mind.
"I have skills and training," I told him happily.
"I have claws," Scott said, gesturing to show he had them.
"I'm smarter," I came up with.
"I'm faster", he replied and came closer.
He's damn good at this.
Urgh, I can't find anything else in which I am good.
Does dancing count?
"Prove it," I respond to it, looking him straight in the eye.
He gave me a puzzled look, laying his head to one side.
It was quiet for a few seconds, Scott didn't want to do anything. Not until I put threw my arm in his direction.
He grabbed my arm, so I threw my other arm on him, but Scott blocked my arm again.
So it continued until he pushed me against the wall and held my arm behind my back. Slightly out of breath, I paused and considered my next move.
As I said, sport was not my thing.
I kicked him lightly, to free my arm and then turned us around. I pushed Scott against the wall with my arms, so we got really close.
He put his hand behind my back and glanced between my eyes and my lips, what I also did.
"Taryna, food is ready, aunt Reya said you should-", interrupted my cousin us and opened the door, but then noticed who is currently in my room or rather said, what we were doing and looked at us confused.
We looked at him embarrassed, but remained in the same position.
"Nevermind, carry on, don't feel disturbed," he said with a slight grin, then closed the door behind him.
☆ presence ☆
"The two of you, back at your seats. Gerard again? ", I heard Coach Finstock say and was completely done with his life, as always.
I smiled stupidly at Coach Finstock, when he looked at me.
God, why do I become an idiot when teachers look at me.
They are normal people.
What the hell.
"Don't tell me you don't feel so good, McCall," Coach remarked.
Scott?
What about him?
I turned completely behind, to look for him.
Why didn't I notice?
I should have helped him, but I had my hands full with these two.
The bus stopped, because of the kilometer-long traffic jam, unfortunately slowed down hard, so we all clapped against our seats.
God dammit!
Freddie tapped me hysterically, so i could Look over to Boyd.
Oh Holy grilled cheeseburger!
Not now! Not here!
"Boyd," I whispered in shock, but didn't know what to say.
How do you calm a werewolf, that is already half transformed?
I would say google knows it all, but I can't ask it.
Also because I didn't have an Internet flat anymore, so ...
Scott probably noticed Boyd's anger, because he was careful, with his injury, on the way here.
"Boyd, don't do this," Scott began to calm him down, or rather, tried.
"Why? They killed Derek and I'm gonna kill him," he shot back at Scott, just got angrier.
"Around all this people? If you have a good plan, than tell me and I will let you do it." Scott suggested, looking at him seriously.
I just sat there and listened to him, eyeing his wound, which looked awful.
You couldn't see the wound, but you saw the huge bloodstain on his white shirt.
"You're still hurt," Isaac told him.
"It'll heal," Scott tried to convince us, maybe even himself, gave me a quick look and then walked back as Boyd calmed down.
Five more hours.
Five painful more hours.
Then we are there.
Sighing, I looked out the window and fell back into my thoughts.
Until Danny got a thousand messages. Confused, I looked around and noticed how aggressively Stiles typed on his phone.
I would laugh, but then everyone would look, because my laugh is too loud and sounds really stupid.
I suppressed my laughter, because Stiles now looked over to me. The next moment I got a new message.
I pulled my phone out and looked for the new message.
'Ethan checks his phone every five seconds', I whispered Stiles message, so the three next to me could hear it.
Immediately, afterwards Freddie had an idea. Danny got a thousand of messages in the next two minutes.
No joke, Freddie and Stiles sent him random messages, until Danny gave both of them an answer.
'Someone close to him probably won't survive the night,' Freddie read this time.
Enes!
But wait,
Does that mean, there's a chance, that Derek could be alive?
But my father would have let me know, if he was alive.
I just hoped he found him on time.
When I was about to send my dad a message about Derek, I got another message from Stiles again.
'Scott's injury only gets worse, you have to look at it for yourself,' I read to myself.
'What do you mean worse?' I wrote back.
'His blood is dark, look at yourself, you're the paramedic in our school!', I just got back from him.
Great, he can't be serious.
But he was right though, I was the paramedic in our school.
'You know Finstock, he won't let me see you,' I wrote to Stiles.
'Come on, you're a witch! Think!', Stiles wrote to me and then put his cell phone away.
How rude!
But then I got a plan.
I whispered a spell to myself as I got up and tried to go to Stiles and Scott without being noticed.
But Coach Finstock, surprisingly, stopped me.
"Topaz, back to your sit," coach Finstock warned me annoyed.
Well, no wonder, I would be annoyed too, if I was the only teacher in a bus full of teenagers.
"But Coach Finstock, Stiles has my phone and my father always checks up on me, I have to answer back, or do you want him to visit you again?," I told him and looked at Stiles, who took my cell phone out of his pocket bag, in surprise.
Coach looked at Stiles in surprise, then me, but then let it be, because he already knew my dad, when he is angry.
"I swear, I saw you using it just a few minute ago..", Coach whispered to himself, just turning around.
"I should stop drinking on a school night...", he said confused and minded his own business.
I suppressed my laughter, again, and ran over to Stiles and Scott.
"How-", Stiles started confused and handed me my phone back.
"Later, first we'll take care of Scott," I interrupted him, looking at Scott Heart-rending.
It broke my heart to see him like that.
He was getting weaker and weaker every minute, rather than stronger.
And it really looked like Scott wouldn't survive the night, unless we did something right now.
Stiles called Lydia and Allison earlier, which may have made me a bit jealous, anyway, he's now arguing, along with Freddie, with Coach Finstock, so we can take a little break.
We actually had to help Scott in a quieter corner, but Coach didn't want to take a break.
He really is done with all of us.
In the meantime, I helped Scott with his pain.
At least I was helpful for something!
"You don't have to do that, Taryna, it only will hurt you," Scott tried to dissuade, but he was too weak to continue arguing with me.
"I'd rather let myself get hurt in the process than let you die," I said and kept going with taking his pain.
Whatever Stiles and Freddie did, it worked.
But now we needed a new school bus!
"It's my fault", he whispered, when I helped him up.
His fault?
Stiles helped me get Scott into the bathroom and set him up between the sinks.
Scott was feeling really bad now, he was still awake, but he wasn't there at the same time.
"Could you not use a spell?" Allison asked worriedly.
"I would, but ..", I started, thinking very well, trying to remember.
"But?", All four asked me frightened.
"I forgot the spell I need for it," I admitted in shock.
