Jump City, Three Years Later...

Jump City is seen at night, cars driving through the streets as people walked on the sidewalk. In an abandoned warehouse nearby, a group of thugs are seen around a round table talking.

Thug 1: "I know what you said. If you didn't set this up, then who's party is this?"

Thug 2: "I thought it was you Eastside losers. You already rolled over for the Black Mask ever since he came to Jump City and I thought you were gonna ask us in."

Thug 3: "Roll over? The Black Mask killed six of my crew in a month. SIX! Some of my best people..."

Thug 1: "So you didn't set up this meet?"

Thug 3: "Nah. I thought it was Titchi."

Titchi: "Wasn't me."

Thug 2: "Alright, to hell with this. I'm going. If you brain doners wanna hang around--"

"Sit down, Freddy."

A male voice says, cutting off the thug as everyone looks up at a catwalk.

Unknown Figure: "It's my meeting."

Thug 5: "Is it him? Batman?!"

Thug 3: "We didn't do nothin'!"

The thugs say in defense.

Unknown Figure: "Well, we all know that's a lie."

The figure says as he walks into the light, revealing himself to be a man wearing a red maks with domino eyes, a grey shirt, a leather jacket, jeans, and combat boots, holding an automatic rifle in his hand.

Titchi: "Who the hell are you?!"

Thug 1: "Smoke him!"

They all pull out their guns and take aim at the maksed suspect, only for the leather jacket-cladded man to fire first. Bullets rain down as the thugs move for cover, the lead piercing the wooden table.

Unknown Man: "I said sit down!"

Thug 2: "Do you really wanna die?! There's easier ways to kill yourself!"

Unknown Man: "Yeah, like yelling at the guy holding the AK-47." *leans over railing* "Listen to me you drug-handling scumbags, I will be running the drug trade from now on. You're the most prosperous street dealers in Jump City, so I'm offering you morons a deal. You go about your business as usual, but give 40% to me. That's a sweeter deal than the scraps the Black Mask is giving you."

The man smiles under his mask.

Unknown Man: "In return, you will have full protection from both Black Mask and the Titans. But you stay away from kids and schoolyards. No dealing to children, got that?! If you do... You're dead."

Thug 1: "Okay, crazy man. This is all very generous, but why the hell should we listen to you?"

Thud!

A black bag falls from the sky, thrown by the unknown man as it falls onto the table. Everyone looks at each other in confusion, eventually going to open the bag. They all gag at the sight inside.

Thug 3: "Damn..."

Unknown Man: "Those are the hands of all your lieutenants. That took me two hours. Wanna see what I can get done in a whole evening?"

The man cocks his gun and aims it back at the men.

Unknown Man: "Make no mistake! I'm not asking you to kick in with me. I'm telling you."

He fires his gun once more at the table, making the drug dealers fall for cover, but the bullets soon stop. They all look up in cofusion, only to see that the man was gone with only smoke rising into the air in his wake.

Thug 1: "... 40% works for me."

Jump City Harbor...

At the harbor on the other side of the city, a truck is seen driving frantically around loading crates.

Man: "Go, go, go!"

Driver: "Where's Ramon and Denny?"

Man: "They got 'em! Just grabbed them up! Y'know what? Screw it! Just get us outta here!"

The truck speeds off through the harbor, but three shadows are seen following them as a yellow and red motorcycle does as well.

Driver: "I think I lost them. Think I lost them?"

Man: "I think you lost 'em. I think we're good."

Thud!

Out of nowhere, a giant African-American male with cybernetics lands on the trucks hood, shocking the criminals as the cyborg smirks at them.

Cyborg: "Well, how are y'all doing this fine evening?"

One of the criminals takes out a shotgun and fires it at Cyborg, shattering the windshield in front of them but missing the hero as he moves out of the way. Then, in front of them, a lady in a dark purple cloak floats as her hands glow black with power.

Raven: "Azarath Mentrion Zinthos!"

The girl chants, firing a dark energy blast from her hands.

The beam strikes the wheels of the truck, making it go haywire as Cyborg struggles to stay on it. Then a gauntleted hand with an orange tint to it smashes through the side window and grabs one of the criminals, pulling him out of the truck as the others scream.

As the truck veers all over the place, the back doors are forced open as a metal container falls out of it. Then the truck falls to its side, sliding across the ground before crasing into a wall of metal crates. The men struggle to get out as one of them reaches his hand out for the nearby shotgun, only for something green to fall from the sky and land in front of him. It was a green tiger, growling at the man who pulls his hand back in fright.

Then the sound of an engine is heard before it's cutoff, footsteps being heard as someone approaches. This person wears a suit made of green, red, and yellow colors. He wears a domino mask that covers his eyes.

The hero picks up the criminal by his shirt, lifting him up into the air.

Robin: "Let's cut to the chase. Who're you working for?"

Man: "N-nobody! Look, we just boosted the truck, and, uh--"

Robin: "It would be wise if you didn't lie to me again."

The teen says as the cyborg, the cloaked girl, and a orange-skinned girl with pink hair lands behind him. The tiger also transforms into a more human state.

Man: "N-no! I swear!"

Robin glares at the man, but the pink-skinned girl takes his attention.

Starfire: "Robin, what is that beeping sound?"

Robin turns to Starfire in cofusion, only to hear the beeping as well and he turns to the origin of the sound. It was the container the truck had dropped earlier, but now three red dots flashed on it. Then it opened up to reveal a dark orange-skinned man.

Man: "What is that?!"

The criminal asks as he gets handcuffed by Robin.

Cyborg: "Your cargo."

Raven: "It's called AMAZO."

Man: "The hell's an AMAZO?"

Robin: "A highly advanced cybernetic android equipped with the ability to absorb the power of superhumans."

Man: "What kind of superhumans?"

AMAZO glared at the Teen Titans, holding his fists together and slamming them into the ground causing it to break. The fissure reaches the heroes and criminals as the heroes dodge out of the way. The green male, Beast Boy, lands on the truck.

Beast Boy: "I'm gonna go with big ones."

Robin runs at AMAZO, throwing a small ball at him which he catches. It then creates a large smokescreen which blinds the android, only for Cyborg to appear from the smoke and punch AMAZO in the face. He then kicks him, making the robot slide back but he fights back, punching Cyborg away with a single punch. The cybernetic African-American slams into a crate, denting it as he falls to the ground.

Beast Boy: "For a toaster on steroids, he sure packs a punch."

Cyborg: "You can say that again."

Cyborg says as he stands up and Robin points at AMAZO.

Robin: "Titans, go!"

The hero team runs at AMAZO together as the android tosses a large crate like a ball at them, only to be torn apart by Raven. Robin then kicks AMAZO in the chest, making it stagger back and is then pelted by starbolts from Starfire. Beast Boy turns into a large gorilla and sucker punches the robot in the eye, tearing off its artificial skin and revealing its robotic red eye. Then both Cyborg and Beast Boy go for a double punch, striking AMAZO right in the face which makes him fly back. Robin then tosses two birdarangs at AMAZO, one being knocked away while the other continues to sail through the air.

Starfire: "I believe you need to do better, Robin."

Robin: *smirks* "I did."

The second birdarang then flies back over to AMAZO, lodging itself in its leg before exploding.

Raven: "Think it stopped it?"

Robin: "Not even close."

Robin says as he jumps up onto the crates, running off as his team follows him. Then AMAZO bursts through the crates behind them, showing itself to be on fire as its skin on its leg has been blown off.

Beast Boy: "That is so creepy!"

Beast Boy exclaims in fright.

Robin: "Get to higher ground!"

Robin orders, using his grappling gun to shoot himself to a higher level as the others fly up after him. AMAZO follows them, flying through the sky with a glare in his red eyes.

Cyborg: "He can fly?!"

Cyborg asks, only to get tackled by AMAZO and flown away. Robin shoots a new grappling hook onto AMAZO's leg, flying into the sky as well as his team chases after them.

Cyborg: "I'm up for some suggestions, Robin!"

Robin: "He has the same weak points as a human being!"

Cybrog smiles.

Cyborg: "That I can work with."

Cyborg turns around in AMAZO's hold, turning his hands into daggers and plunging them into AMAZO's ears. Electricity flows through the android as it screams in pain, letting go of Cyborg who falls to the ground. Robin lets go of his hook and is caught by Cyborg who brings him back to the ground safely. AMAZO crashes into the ground soon after.

Raven: "Think he's down?"

Raven asks, only for AMAZO to stand back up with a growl.

Robin: "Not yet."

AMAZO shouts as he shoots laser beams from his eyes, Raven forming a shield in front of her friends to block it.

Beast Boy: "How many powers does this dude have?!"

Cyborg: "You ask this now?!"

Cyborg asks as AMAZO ends his heat vison and jumps over the shield, landing behind the team of heroes who go wide-eyed. But then Robin jumps in from behind him and plants black objects on his eyes.

Beast Boy: "I don't think putty isn't going to stop him, bro."

The green superhuman tells Robin who just smirks.

Robin: "No." *pulls out detonator* "But this will."

He presses the button, causing the black goo to explode and create a large smokescreen. When it fades away, all that is left is a headless AMAZO which falls to the ground.

Later, Robin and the rest of the Titans are seen back with the criminals they apprehended.

Robin: "This shipment was meant for the Black Mask, I doubt you're behind this. So, who're you working for?"

Man: "I swear, we don't work for anybody. Our gig, our idea!"

One of the criminals say, trying to convince the heroes.

Robin: *to Raven* "Let it go."

Raven nods, her hand turning normal as the body of AMAZO falls down to the ground and about to crush the men, only to be caught again by Raven's powers as oil sprays everywhere.

Man: "Okay! Okay! I'll talk! Just stop!"

Robin looks at Raven and nods, making her move the android body away as Robin walks up to the criminal.

Man: "The Red Hood. We're working for the Red Hood. We don't have any choice. He's gonna--GAH!"

A bullet cuts the man off, killing him in the process as two more kill the other criminals. The Titans run for cover, not wanting to be shot down, too.

Cyborg: "The shots came the rooftop! A sniper!"

Robin and the others look at the dead criminals.

"A good one."

Robin: "Cyborg, get a look."

Robin tells his teammate as they walk out into the open. Cyborg nods and presses a finger to the side of his head, extending his cybernetic sight to see the far-off rooftop.

Raven: "Got anything?"

Cyborg: "Yeah."

Robin: "Then let's go."

Everyone nods and takes off into the sky, Cyborg holding onto Robin as they fly after the shooter. Soon catching up to him, they see him enter a [F/C] Mustang and drive on into the street. The car veers around cars as it speeds off, only for the Titans to continue their chase. They go into a tunnel, growing closer to the car as Cyborg extends his arm and turns it into a harpoon gun. He shoots the harpoon at the car and strikes the roof of it, making him smile.

Cyborg: "BOOYAH!"

They follow the car out of the tunnel and Cyborg pulls at the harpoon, flying in midair as he tries to stop the car. He only gets pulled along, but the car starts to rise in the air... only for the driver to eject the roof and turn the car into a convertible.

Starfire: "That was quite clever."

Robin: "Grrr! Follow him!"

The Titans chase after the car through another street, following him to a warehouse where he the driver tears through one of the doors with his car. The Titans fly higher into the sky and then drop down through the skylight, landing on a catwalk and showing that the warehouse held chemicals of all kinds in large vats. Robin looked around, seeing it as a place familiar to the place where the Joker was born. He remembered the story Batman told him all too well.

~Flashback/Story~

Red Hood: "It's a setup! W-wait! I'm not a crook, I swear!"

The original Red Hood stated as Batman took out some handcuffs. The man tried to take off his large red helmut, but only tripped over his cape and fell through the railings, falling into a vat of chemicals as Batman tries to catch him... only to fail. The Red Hood falls into the chemicals, bubbles emerging at the surface as playing cards rise up... the Joker card among them.

~Flashback/Story End~

Robin scowled at the memory of the story, but then he and the Titans look up to see the new Red Hood standing on a higher catwalk.

Red Hood: "Hard to forget that story, huh?"

The Red Hood said, aiming a gun at the team of heroes.

Red Hood: "In a way, Robin, that was Bats' first great failure. Maybe his greatest. But certainly not his last, right? Ah, memories."

Robin glares at the Red Hood, making his team ready to fight.

Starfire: "It would he wise to stand down, Red Hood. You are clearly outnumbered."

Beast Boy: "Or do you want us to kick your butt?"

The Red Hood only smiles under his helmut.

Red Hood: "Cute."

Is all the man says before moving the aim of his gun and firing at his crashed car, creating sparks that light the chemicals on fire and blow up the vat of chemicals the car crashed into. The Titans recoiled back in reaction, but Robin notices the Red Hood escaping and he follows after him. He runs after the Red Hood on the catwalk, only for an explosion to send the Mustang crashing into the catwalk and knocking Robin off. He falls down to a vat of chemicals, only to be caught by Starfire and flown away as the chemicals explode along with the rest of the warehouse.

The Titans escape just in time and fly through the skylight, a blast of heat and flames following them as they escape just in time. They all stare at the flames, realizing they might just have a new big threat coming their way.
