Black Mask's New Office, Jump City

Black Mask: "What?! Are you telling me that scumbag stole my guns?! AGAIN?!"

The Black Mask asks his secretary angrily as he sits in his chair behind his desk.

Woman: "No, sir. He destroyed them. Blew up the truck, the drivers..."

Black Mask: "Dammit. Of all the... DAMMIT!"

The Black Mask shouts as he stands from his chair.

Woman: "Previously he was just inlisting anyone under our province to come work for him. Now he just seems to be... killing them."

Black Mask: "Oh, so we got a Batman in Jump City, now? One who doesn't mind the blood?"

Woman: "No, sir. He's no Batman. He's still taking huge cuts from off the streets. But now he's eliminating the competition. He's coming after you."

The Black Mask's eyes widen at this as he stands all the way up, and a man clears his throat which makes his boss look at him. Then, with a mighty heave, he grabs his desk and throws it away from him.

Black Mask: "You wanna tell me why this guy ain't dead?!"

Woman: "We're trying. We sent the Fearsome Hand of Four."

The Black Mask goes up to one of his men as his secretary says this and punches him to the ground.

Black Mask: "Four? Guess they're gonna need a new name."

He punches the next guy in the gut, making him fall to the floor.

Black Mask: "Why hasn't the Teen Titans taken care of him, yet?"

Woman: "Maybe they don't want to. Perhaps they're letting you and the Red Hood war it out. They could be waiting--"

Black Mask: "--to take on the winner?" *punches another man* "WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS IS?! A TENNIS TOURNAMENT?!"

The Black Mask asks as he punches the final man to the ground in rage.

Woman: "I'm just saying."

Black Mask: "You're an idiot!"

The crime boss says as he walks past his secretary.

Black Mask: "And you don't know those punk brats. They're not just letting this lunatic run wild. They can't catch him either! Or... it's something else."

The Black Mask looks out his extremely large window.

Black Mask: "Can't you feel it? We're stuck in the damn crossfire!"

The Black Mask looks off to the side, only to notice a red dot appear on his chest. He watches it rise on his body as he looks outside to see the Red Hood on a nearby rooftop, an RPG in his hands as he waves at the criminal.

Black Mask: "... ah, hell."

He says as the red dot lands on his forehead, quickly running away and knocking down one of his men as he does so. His secretary follows him as he bursts through his doors, his employees following him.

Red Hood: "Wow. He can really run when he wants to."

The Red Hood says and fires the RPGA at the building. It blows up the office and creates a large explosion, sending debris flying. Inside, it sends a door in the stairway flying as it ricochets through the stairway and nearly hitting the Black Mask.

Woman: "Are you okay, sir?"

Black Mask: "Well, I'm not dead. So that's something. I think it's time to change up the ground war."

Woman: "How so, sir?"

Black Mask: "I'm being forced to negotiate with a psychotic."

Woman: "That doesn't sound good."

Black Mask: "No. It's going to be a nightmare."

Arkham Asylum

At Arkham Asylum, night guards are seen in an office as they watch the cameras. Then a man walks up to the glass and knocks on it, getting their attention.

Gaurd 1: "Hey, fellas. Ten minutes 'til bed check, right?"

Gaurd 2: "Terry? What the hell are you doing here?"

Terry: "Ya miss me? I'm covering Rocksman's shift. He's got the flu or somethin'."

Gaurd 3: "We got this. Why don't you just grab us some joe and, uh, we'll meet you in the south wing."

Terry: "But that's not protocol. C'mon, I'm bored. I need to stretch my legs. Let's g--"

A silenced bullet kills him before he could finish, masked men walking out of the shadows to meet the other gaurds.

Masked Man: "Sorry. Schedule to keep."

Gaurd 3: "You didn't have to kill him."

He says as he types away at the computer.

Masked Man: "One, yes I did. Two, we're paying you a ton. So three, shut up and open the goddamn door."

The night gaurd looks over at his partner who goes to unlock the door. He then enters the code and opens the door, letting the men enter the dark insides of Arkham.

Masked Man: "Does he know what's going on?"

Gaurd 1: "Knows he's leaving."

The masked man nods and walks down the stairs. In his cell, the man of interest speaks with a crazed smile on his lips.

Joker: "It's gotta be a sleepover, right? I packed my toothbrush."

Gotham City Cemetary

At the cemetery in Gotham the Teen Titans are seen digging up a certain grave... one belonging to that of [Y/N] Todd. Starfire and Cyborg were providing light as Beast Boy and Raven helped Robin dig up the coffin. Then...

Thud!

Robin: "I got something."

He says as he moves the dirt away, revealing a wooden coffin buried beneath all the earth. Robin goes to open the the coffin, doing it successfully and prying it open to reveal a body. One that looked like the one of [Y/N] Todd.

Beast Boy: "Well, there ya go. He's still dead."

Robin glares at the body.

Robin: "No. He isn't."

Robin says as he grabs the body and lifting it up into the air, and the hair falls off.

Robin: "That's not flesh."

Robin glared at the body and threw back to the ground, stomping his way out of the hole he dug up as he growls.

Starfire: "Robin, you cannot blame yourself for--"

Robin: "It was stupid of me and careless. For Batman as well. The body was made of high-end latex and no one bothered to look inside when we brought him home."

Raven: "Robin, remember how you felt. Everyone who knew [Y/N] was upset."

Robin: "NO! It was stupid and careless and I'm gonna find out why and how he's back!"

He turns to walk away from his team.

"Alone."

Room In a Random Location

Inside a white room, the Black Mask is seen sitting down with bodyguards around him as he sat across from the Joker.

Black Mask: "I hope you understand the trouble I've gone through to arrange this little get-together here. A lot of money. A lot of dead meat."

The Black Mask tells the Joker who is seen eating out of a bag of potato chips.

Black Mask: "Look, I've got a problem, and you're absolutely the man who possesses the gifts to take care of this... uh, problem. I need you to murder the Red Hood. You think you can handle that?"

The Joker eats another chip and coughs.

Joker: "May I have some water?"

The Black Mask allows it, having one of his men give the Clown Prince of Crime a glass of water who stares at it. He the smashes it on the wood table and slashes at the man's throat, grabbing his gun and killing all the men except the Black Mask and his secretary inside the room. The Joker laughs as he looks at the Black Mask's astonished expression.

Joker: "I'm going to need something to wear. And a very big truck."

Black Mask: "Sure. Anything else?"

Joker: "I'll need some guys. Not these ones though, of course. They're kinda dead. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Headquarters of the League of Assassins

A gaurd is seen patrolling the outside parameter of the building, only to he taken out by Robin who goes to take out another gaurd.

Inside, however, Raj Al Gul is seen reading when he turns around. He leaves his chair and walks through the room, only to stop midway. He continues, though, and walks over to a window. He stares out of it, only for his eyes to go wide when Robin's hand to smash through the glass and pull him through. He's pinned down to the ground, his face scrunched up in pain.

Robin: "What did you do to my little brother? Act like you don't know what I'm talking about, and I'll pull a Batman and dislocate your shoulder. And that's just a tip of the iceberg."

Raj Al Gul: "If you haven't disabled the roof sensors, my men will be out here any minute."

Robin: "Answer me!"

Robin orders the man, tightening his grip on his arm.

Raj Al Gul: "I'm willing to, but it would be more expedient if you hand me the communicator in my pocket so I can tell my men to stand down."

Robin looks over to see a communicator and grabs it, bringing it close to Raj's face and turning it on. He speaks.

Raj Al Gul: "Commander, this is Raj Al Gul. Stand down. I will be entertaining a guest in my study."

Later, Raj is seen pouring himself some wine as Robin stands nearby.

Raj Al Gul: "Remember when we last became embattled?"

Robin: "You were planning to blow up banks."

Raj Al Gul: "Accurant, if inelegant."

~Flashback/Story~

"I wan in the midst of toppling the economy of Europe, but you and Batman were on to me."

In Bosnia, Raj and his men walk from their helicopter as a man and his goon step forward: the Joker.

"So I hired the Joker."

Inside a bank, men and women and children are seen dead with smiles on their faces as Batman, Robin, and the Red Robin run through.

"When your paths crossed in Bosnia, it was to appear that you had stumbled upon him."

As the Joker and his men still drugs and money, Batman busts down the door with Robin and the Red Robin by his side. They begin to fight when the Joker starts to run away. The Red Robin chases after him.

"He was paid extremely well for what was intended to he a wild goosechase. Then... he murdered your brother."

The Joker is seen standing over the beaten body of [Y/N], his suit torn from abuse and torture.

~Flashback/Story End~

Raj Al Gul: "That was not my design. I'm afraid I overestimated my ability to control the Joker. Just as I underestimated his madness."

He looks over at Robin who was crossing his arms over his chest.

Raj Al Gul: "It grieved me to be part of something so brutal."

Robin: "You've never shyed away from drawing blood."

Raj Al Gul: "True, but always with purpose. With a greater goal. This was simply an unnecessary casualty. As penance, I chose not to make war with your family again... and to attempt to rectify this disservice."

Robin: "Rectify?"

Raj Al Gul: "Yes."

~Flashback/Story~

"I had hoped to return to you what you had lost."

Inside a dark cave, green cracks on the walls and ground snake their way to the bottom to see a pool of green water with men in red robes surrounding it. The Raj Al Gul us seen walking into it, his body frail and his hair white.

"I have walked this world for at least six centuries. As you know, I've achieved by bathing in the rejuvenating waters of the Lazarus Pit."

After completing submerging himself in the water, Raj Al Gul emerges from the water as he breathed heavily, his body restored to its former glory.

"Along with its healing abilities, it is long been rumored that it can carry an even greater feat. To raise the dead."

At the United States Embassy, Raj Al Gul's men are seen taking [Y/N]'s dead body and replacing it for the fake Robin had discovered earlier.

"Precuring the remains of your brother was not difficult. You and Batman had come to Bosnia under the guise of your true identities, and you chose to depart as such. You even concocted the cover story that Young [Y/N] had died in a bombing in Sarajevo. This made it easy for me. All it took was a few payoffs to replace his body. I was held confident that you would not preform an optopsy."

"If you had, it would've still bought you enough time."

"But my plan... well, young man, it had unfortunate consequences."

Back at the Lazarus Pit, [Y/N]'s body which was wrapped in bandages is seen being lowered into the green waters below. He was then dropped inside, and the Pit started to steam up. Raj Al Gul is seen watching from the side with his daughter, Thalia, behind him. Everyone watched in anticipation to see what would happen when...

"AAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

... the resurrected body of [Y/N] emerged from the waters, screaming like a lunatic which shocks everyone. The boy, however, starts flailing around and tearing off the bandages from his body revealing his [E/C] eyes with a new green tint. Raj Al Gul looks on in horror as [Y/N] looks around, his eyes feral like an untamed beast who hasn't eaten in days.

"He returned to this world, but returned... broken."

Raj Al Gul walks up to the Lazarus Pit and [Y/N] looks at him, only for the boy to start running the opposite direction of him through the water. As he exits the pool, he punches a man in the face and slams another one into the ground as he uses his thumbs to puncture his eyeballs. He screams as he goes to escape, running out of the cave and to a cliff edge. He jumps from it, descending down to the ground below as Raj Al Gul looks on in shock.

"My army searched for months, but they were never able to find a body. They couldn't even find a trail."

~Flashback/Story End~

Raj Al Gul looks at Robin.

Raj Al Gul: "I thought him dead, yet again. But I hear you have been having.... "trouble" at home."

Raj Al Gul walks away from Robin and over to a window.

Raj Al Gul: "I have returned your brother to you as a blight upon your house. He burns the very kingdom you--"

Raj turns around to look at Robin, only to see him gone. Left without a trace. Raj then looks down at the ground, closing his eyes.

"I'm sorry."
