Titans Tower

The next day at Titans Tower, Robin is seen at the main computer typing away as he looks at the screen. The other Titans are seen right behind him.

Robin: "I found some intel on this new Hood. Got it from a snitch."

Robin says as he brings up a video showing the new Red Hood running across a rooftop. Then the video pauses, the view magnifying on the Red Hood.

Robin: "He says he's been making some serious moves. Almost as serious as the moves Black Mask made when he arrived here."

Cyborg: "The Red Hood."

Robin: "Maybe. He looks a lot like him."

Raven: "But this one is different."

Robin: "Several criminals have used the same persona."

Beast Boy: "But only one with particular interest, huh?"

Beast Boy asks, smirking at Robin who glares at him which makes the green teen back off.

Raven: "Isn't he locked up?"

Robin: "Yeah, but this guy doesn't fit the regular MO. There's been a heavy uptake in trafficking, but crime has gone down."

Starfire: "Is that not a good thing?"

Robin: "It is. That's why it bugs me so much. I spent all not trying to figure out who this guy is."

Beast Boy: "Dude, did you get any sleep at all?"

Robin: "Of course. Three hours."

The Titans sweatdrop at their leader's calmness when he spoke about how long he had slept.

Cyborg: "Maybe we should go pay him a visit."

Robin stays silent at this. Visit him? The only times he wants to see him is when he puts him back behind bars. Nothing else, nowhere else.

Raven: "We know how you feel about him, Robin, but the only way we can know if he isn't behind this is if we go talk to him."

Robin looked at Raven. She was right... no matter how hard he wanted to not admit it.

Robin: "Fine. Looks like we're visiting the Joker."

Arkham Asylum

Via the Titan Jet, the Teen Titans made their way to Arkham Asylum in Gotham City. Inside one of the interrogation rooms in the prison, Robin stood alone with the Joker. Why? Because he wanted to be alone with him. He wanted to be the one to get the answers this time.

Joker: "So... you look good. Been working out? You could probably use a little sun. You're pale. Then again, who am I to talk? AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The Joker's laugh brought anger into Robin's mind. Oh, how he wanted to shut him up. But he had to stay calm.

He places a picture of the Red Hood on the table in front of the Joker, making the madman look at the picture.

Robin: "He's calling himself the Red Hood. What do you know about it?"

Joker: "That he has horrible taste. When I wore that name, it was classy. More flashy matordee than motorcycle fetish. Ugh, kids these days."

Robin: "If you're behind this in any way, I will find out."

Joker: "Oh, you're so much less fun now. What? Miss your baby brother?"

This makes Robin snap. He grabs the Joker by his straight jacket and throws him into the door, making the Joker grunt as he falls to the floor. Robin then picks the Joker back up and holds him up by his neck. The Joker seems to struggle, only to smile at Robin.

Joker: "Ya gonna do it this time? Or are you gonna put me in a body cast for six months like Batman?"

Robin glares at Joker who only smiles at him, but Robin sighed and let the Joker go. The white-skinned psychopath falls to the cold floor with a grunt, breathing heavily as he looked at Robin.

Joker: "So disappointing. But, back to the matter at hand. This new Hoodie... you really think I would stir up so much trouble in your little city, and not make sure you knew it was me?"

The Joker laughs maniacally, making Robin growl and walk out of the room, closing the door behind him as Joker's laugh echoes through the halls.

When the other Titans see their leader they walk up to him with concerned looks.

Cyborg: "Hey, bro. We heard some banging... what happened?"

Robin: "He's not behind this."

Raven: "So, what now?"

Robin: "Now we look on our own."

Robin says as he walks past his team and up the stairs, his friends looking at him with concern in their eyes.

Black Mask's New Office, Jump City...

Meanwhile, back at Jump City, two men exit an elevator and walk to an office. The African-American speaks to the white man.

Man 1: "I know you haven't met him yet, but be cool. This here's the Black Mask, to first boss to gain control of Jump City in twenty years. Whatever he wants, he gets."

They walk up to a black and red door.

Man 1: "But his appearance... um, takes some getting used to."

The man opens the door slightly, the first thing being heard was...

"HE DID WHAT?! WHAT?!"

Man 1: *looks at other man* "Oh, good. He's pissed."

The men enter the office as a lady speaks.

Woman: "Our concern is the one order the rest of the android. He goes by the name of "Red Hood". "

Unknown Man: "I don't care what he's calling himself. Do you idiots know how many bitters I had on AMAZO? A list of puppet dictators and psychos as long as my arm! Millions shot right to hell! AND WHO'S MONEY IS THAT?!"

Woman: "Your money, sir."

The man in the chair turns around angrily, revealing himself to be the Black Mask.

Black Mask: "My money! Mine!" *sees new recruit* "This score was a game changer. AMAZO was gonna buy my way up into high international trafficking. Now I'm forced to keep rooting around in this local leg-breaking garbage! AND THOSE STUPID TITANS BLEW THE DAMN ROBOT'S HEAD OFF! WHO DOES THAT?!"

The Black Skull looked outraged.

Black Mask: "I could've at least sold it for scrap, but those Titans kept it."

Woman: "Yes, sir. Robin is like Batman, liking to keep things."

Black Mask: "Look. This circus act, Red Foot--"

Woman: "Red Hood."

The woman corrects.

Black Mask: "Whatever. He's dead. Take care of it." *turns to new recruit* "You, new blood."

New Guy: "Sir."

The man says as the Black Mask walks up to him.

Black Mask: "Don't be nervous." *gets in his face* "But if you keep staring at me like that, I'm gonna cut your eyes out."

The new guy immediately looks away from his boss, only to be punched in the face and tossed to the ground.

Black Mask: "Get me the inspects on tonight's shipment."

New Guy: "Yes, sir."

The man says, standing up as he held his face in pain.

Man: "It's ten cases of assorted SMGs, along with five thousand forty-five caliber..."

As the man was talking, Robin is seen in the tower as he listens in. He listens carefully to the shipment.

Back at the office, the man continues speaking as the Black Mask sits down in his chair. Outside the building on a nearby rooftop, however, the Red Hood was listening in as well.

Red Hood: "That sounds like a plan."

Later on, a helicopter is seen in the air. It later lands on a nearby buildingtop with multiple people in white robes standing on top. One of them walks into the helicopter and one of the pilots speak.

Pilot 1: "Hey! My Intel says I can only be on the ground for six minutes!"

He says over the sound of the helicopter.

Hooded Figure: "Don't worry." *takes hood off to reveal red mask* "I won't be staying for long."

The Red Hood says as he aims a pistol at the pilot. He then kicks them out of the helicopter and knocks them into the other hooded figures, knocking them all down like dominoes. The Red Hood lifts the plane into the air, only for something to strike it and take out its power.

Red Hood: "Heh. And I almost thought you wouldn't show."

The man says as he looks out the window to see the Teen Titans, Cyborg being the one with the EMP harpoon gun.

Cyborg: "Booyah! Direct hit!"

Robin: "We're not done yet."

Red Hood: "Wanna dance? Let's dance!"

The Red Hood says and tilts the helicopter to the side, making it go away from the rooftop and fall to the ground.

Cyborg: "Um... is that gonna hold?"

Robin: "No."

Robin says and runs after the Red Hood, the other Titans following him and leaving Cyborg alone.

Cyborg: "Okay. I'll just take care of this."

He says as he goes to staple the harpoon cable to the roof.

Back with the helicopter, the Red Hood jumps out of it and lands on a nearby rooftop. He looks to see Robin jumping after it with the harpoon gun, shooting a new harpoon into the helicopter and another one into a nearby building wall to stabilize it. He connects all the cables together and, just before it crashes to the ground, the helicopter stops its fall as Robin slides down the cable. Then he sees Starfire and she grabs him from the cable, taking off into the sky and near the Red Hood.

Red Hood: "Okay, then. Nice night to go for a run."

The criminal says and starts running away from the heroes. He jumps and lands on some scaffolding, breaking through one of them and rolling down another. He quickly gets back up, though, and starts running again as the Teen Titans chase after him. Robin and Cyborg were on foot while Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy were flying in the air.

Robin throws a birdarang at the Red Hood as Cyborg shoots an energy blast from his arm cannon. The Red Hood dodges easily and rolls through a tarp, making his way inside the building he was running around. Cyborg and Robin follow him inside and seemingly corner him, Cyborg aiming his arm cannon at the criminal.

Cyborg: "Sorry, Hood, but this is where this all ends."

Cyborg says, making the Red Hood chuckle.

Red Hood: "That's what you think."

Is all he says before turning around and running through some wood planks, breaking them apart and grabbing a nearby canister. The Red Hood then runs and crashes through a window falling through the sky. He turns around and throws the canister up to the broken window and, just when Cyborg and Robin reach the shattered window, he fires his gun. The bullet strikes the canister and makes it explode right in the heroes' faces, blowing them back. They quickly recover and rejoin their friends to chase the Red Hood as he runs away again.

They run, or fly, across metal beams, the Red Hood expertly leaps from beam to beam.

Beast Boy: "This guy's got some mad skills, yo."

Robin: "Focus, Beast Boy!"

Robin says as he leaps across the beams like the Red Hood, chasing after him with his friends. The Red Hood soon makes it to the end of the metal beams, leaping off the final one and falling down onto a rooftop below. The Titans follow suit, still chasing after the Red Hood who runs across multiple rooftops in an attempt to escape. He then round a corner and leaps off the building side, falling onto a nearby blimp and turning around. He pulls out two pistols and aims them at the corner just as Robin and the Titans showed, opening fire at them which makes them take cover with the wall.

Cyborg: "Okay, he's really good."

Starfire: "I believe we have met our match."

Robin: "Yeah, whatever."

Robin says as he looks around for the Red Hood, soon finding him on another rooftop. Robin starts the chase again and jumps onto the blimp and across to the rooftop, his team following him as the chase after the Red Hood together. Robin chases after the Red Hood, being right behind him as the criminal turns a corner. Then Robin throws a birdarang connected to a cable at the Red Hood just as the man jumps. He pulls at the cable and tries to tie up the Red Hood's legs, only for the mask wearing criminal to quickly turn around and cut the cable with a knife.

Beast Boy: "Oh, yeah. He's very good."

Beast Boy says as the Red Hood slides down a building wall and then lands on a ledge.

Cyborg: "We got him now!"

The Red Hood jumps off the ledge and falls down, only to grab a nearby pole and hang onto it. He then grabs the rope on it and swings around, eventually crashing through the skylight of the train station.

Robin: "Okay, impressive. Raven, teleport us down there."

Raven: "Right."

She opens a portal and everyone jumps through it, appearing in the train station and looking around. They see no one.

Starfire: "I believe we have lost him."

Robin perks up when he hears some beeping, turning around to see some explosives strapped to a support beam.

Robin: "Move!"

Robin orders his team just before the explosives go off, sending the heroes into the train tracks with a grunt. The explosion is larger than anticipated, and takes out a large chunk of the station.

Robin struggles to get himself up, but he manages to as he sees the Red Hood on a motorcycle on the tracks.

Red Hood: "You haven't lost your touch, D--!"

The Red Hood says, only for his final words to be outmatched by the sound of an incoming train. The Titans move out of the way of it, Robin turning around as it leaves... only to see the Red Hood was gone.

Titans Tower

Later, back at Titans Tower, Robin was looking over the video feed Cyborg gave him during their chase with the Red Hood.

Raven: "He's got some moves. And no matter how much I hate to belabor a point--"

Beast Boy: "Which you still do."

Raven: "... what I'm saying is that our suspect here has some serious abilities. He was trained. Well. Like how he did that."

Raven says as the scene of the Red Hood cutting Robin's cable from his legs in midair appears on screen.

Cyborg: "Yeah. He sliced your cable before it tightened. You don't just do that. You have to be practice that."

Robin: "And then there's the knife."

Starfire: "What about it?"

Robin: "My cables are like Batman's. You know many knives that can cut those?"

Cyborg: "Not many."

Robin: "No. Not many."

Beast Boy: "Look, we obviously got ourselves a player. We should figure out where he comes from."

Robin: "That's not what I'm worried about at the moment."

Robin says as he types away at the computer.

Beast Boy: "What?"

The green shapeshifter asks as Robin goes back to the train scene.

Red Hood: *on screen* "You haven't lost your touch, D--!"

The train cuts off the last part, but Robin rewinds and edits the video where the train cannot be heard. He plays the video again.

Red Hood: *on screen* "You haven't lost your touch, Dick!"

Robin's eyes went wide under his mask, standing up in shock which knocks down the chair he was sitting in. However, the others were just confused.

Beast Boy: "Who's Dick?"

Robin: "... I am."

Cyborg: "What?"

Robin looks down as he breathes. He then takes off his mask and turns to his teammates, shocking them.

Robin: "My real name is Richard Grayson, but everybody just called me Dick."

Robin's eyes were round but narrow, the color blue encasing his irises as he looked at his teammates.

Beast: "So... you know him?"

Beast Boy asks as he motions to the screen showing the frozen Red Hood.

Robin: "Yes. Or, at least, I think so."

Robin looks down as his mind goes back to when he worked with Batman... and when [Y/N] was alive.

~Flashback~

Five years ago when [Y/N] Todd was alive and was the Red Robin, he was so full of energy and heroism. During a museum robbery one night orchestrated by the Riddler, they went in to handle it: Batman, Robin, and the Red Robin.

Inside the Gotham City Museum, the Riddlee was watching as his goons packed up all the valuable stuff inside. But then...

Red Robin: "WOOHOO!"

The Red Robin shouts in joy as he crashes through a glass window.

Red Robin: "You guys having a party?"

[Y/N] says as he slams one guy into the ground and then kicks two in the chin at the same time, knocking them out. He then throws multi-colored balls (marbles) at another goon, making him trip over them and fall flat on his face.

Red Robin: "Guess our invite got lost."

He says as another goon tries to attack him, only to be slammed into the ground by Robin entering in.

Red Robin: "Thanks, big bro."

Robin: "No problem, lil' bro."

Then Batman arrives, standing in between the two Boy Wonders as he glares at the Riddler.

Batman: "It's over, Riddler."

The Riddler scowls as he runs away, a goon with a crossbow replacing him as he shoots arrows at the vigilantes. They all dodge out of the way and Robin throws a birdarang at the crossbow, knocking it out of the goon's hands as the Red Robin leaps in and slams the man down with a kick. He then uses the same man's body as a secondary platform to jump after the Riddler, only for a man with a whip to swing his rope at [Y/N]'s legs and tie them up... only for the young sidekick to take out his own birdarang and cut the rope.

Batman and Robin take care of more thugs and goons as the Red Robin lands in front of the Riddler.

Red Robin: "Riddle me this: what's green and purple, but covered in red and black?"

The Riddler growls at the boy and goes to swing his cane at the Red Robin, only for the boy to duck under the attack and kick the green villain in his di--I mean manhood. The Riddler grabs his privates in pain and then falls down the stairs and on his back.

Red Robin: "You, when I land on your sorry butt."

[Y/N] says as he jumps and lands on top of the Riddler, pinning him down with a smirk.

Goon: "Don't move! Or I'll--!"

Red Robin: "Or you'll what? Shoot me?"

Says the Red Robin one year after the previous events, wearing an updated costume as he glares at a thug with a gun aimed at him. [Y/N] then charges at the thug and punches him through a wooden door, breaking it apart as the twelve year old vigilante runs inside the room.

One of the men inside takes out two SMGs and fires at [Y/N] who only moves expertly out of the way and knocks tge man out. Another behind him takes out a shotgun, only for the Red Robin to throw electrified birdarangs at the man's hands and electrocutes him as the boy then kicks him into a wall.

Then Batman and Robin enter the scene as [Y/N] grabs the face of the thug lying on the table.

Red Robin: "Twenty rounds a second, and you were still too slow."

Big Thug: "But I'm not slow, punk!"

Another man says, making the three crime-fighting partners turn to see a lathe thug aiming a pistol at [Y/N]. He shoots a bullet at the second Boy Wonder, only for the boy to dodge.

Red Robin: "Me neither!"

Batman and Robin: "I got him!"

They say as they throw a batarang and a birdarang at the thug, knocking the gun out of his hands as [Y/N] elbows him in the face. He falls backwards with a sickening crack, holding his arm in pain as he screams in pain.

Batman: "Red!"

The Batcave

After the mission, all thre vigilantes are seen at the Batcave. Batman, aka Bruce Wayne, walks up to [Y/N] who has his domino mask off.

Red Robin: "I had to take him down."

Batman: "You shattered his collarbone!"

Red Robin: "He's a drug-dealing pimp! Didn't think I had to prop up some pillows before I took him out."

Robin: "Look, [Y/N]. We needed him, and he would've talked."

Batman: "But you put him into shock!"

[Y/N] pauses, realizing his mistake as he looks down.

Red Robin: "I'm sorry. It was dumb. But he deserved it."

[Y/N] says as he shoves past both Bruce and Dick. The last thing we see is both Batman and Robin watching as the Red Robin walk away. Then everything fades back into the present.

~Flashback End~

Robin... Dick looks down at the ground, sadness overwhelming his emotions as the memories invade his mind.

Starfire: "Robin... who was he?"

Robin looked up at his friends, sorrow in his eyes as he spoke.

"[Y/N] Todd, the Red Robin... and my adopted brother."
