~ Foolish Teens ~ Bbrae & Robstar
Foolish Teens ( Bbrae & Robstar)
SONG FOR THE CHPATER: Crazy in love by Beyonce
Chapter 1
Third Point of View
"Friends! Today is my birth of the day!" A cheerful alien girl with such beauty flew into the room. Her hands flew up with such glee that she couldn't help but smile. This was new to Starfire. Earth customs weren't the same as customs from her home planet. Robin has explained the celebration of birth dates to her many times to her.
Starfire enjoyed every story told by Robin. She loved it so much that she decided to give it a try. Raven was the complete opposite of Starfire. Raven was the kind of person you could easily relate. She hated her birthday and she loved to read. Beastboy thought it was weird that Raven considered reading as a 'fun' hobby. Perhaps it was the way he always played video games with the rest of the guys.
Cyborg didn't mind anything the titans did. The only thing that bothered him was the way Robin kept on pushing him to the limit. Last time, Cyborg almost broke his arm trying to keep with with Robin's orders. Although he doesn't agree with the way Robin takes care of the team, he loves all his friends.
Just like Cyborg; Robin also loves his friends. He has always called them teammates, but inside he knows that they are more than that. They are family to him. He loved the feeling of feeling loved by more one than one person. Batman showed Robin a few times his father and son love. Unfortunately, Robin didn't feel it or notice it.
There was one particular titan who he cared the most. His best friend, Starfire, was like a diamond to him. So precious yet so easy to be taken away. Robin knew a busy hero like him shouldn't be with a fragile easy target like Starfire. Too many risks causes so many worries.
"You told us your birthday was last month. We ate cake and pizza that day, remember?" Beastboy was perplexed on why Starfire kept on saying it was her birthday. There was a chance Robin did not explain very well to Starfire when birthdays where celebrated.
"Today is the 7th! Robin has told me that on the 7th; I celebrate my birthday. Is that not correct?" She looked at each of her friends individually. Their eyes showed confusion on what she tried to explain to them.
Robin later walked in rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I meant every January on the 7th, Star. Not ever month," Robin felt guilty that he has lead Starfire into embarrassment.
"If my birthday was every month.... I could be eating cake all month. Let's say I make it last," Beastboy drooled over his own imaginary bubble of cake.
" Your room can't even last one day clean," Raven interfered knowing that Beastboy would easily finish the cake faster than planned.
A small frown played on Beastboy's lips like a sad melody. It hurt him to know what Raven really thought of him; a slob. "Enough. We need to train," Robin didn't have time to deal with the tension in the room. His duty was to protect and serve. That is exactly what he will do.
Cyborg groaned; letting his shoulders drop. " Your legs are skinny enough. We don't need to exercise today."
Robin's eyebrows sland inward to express how angry he was that Cyborg is denying to follow orders. Robin has zero tolerance for childish games getting in the way of training. All he had to do was simple and affective. "There's pizza and ice cream-"
Cyborg stretched his arm to cover Robin's mouth. "Say no more," Cyborg ran to the training room with hungry eyes craving the view of beauty.
When he got to the room, there was nothing but weights sitting on the ground. The others followed behind weeping in sorrows left behind from their complaining. "This is a waste of time," Raven said unamused.
"Could we still have cake?" Starfire couldn't let the cake out of her mind. Everywhere she looked the cake appeared all over the furniture.
"Sure, why not?" Robin smiled at Starfire's green sparkly eyes that always made it impossible to look away. He couldn't resist to give her everything she wanted.
Beastboy sneered along with Cyborg in the back of the room. They knew what Robin really felt about Starfire. No friendship can be as good as theirs. "Hey Star, Robin likes your butt!" Cyborg yelled waiting to be amused.
Starfire's eyes widen in seconds. She turned to look at Robin. He just stood in the same spot while many thoughts ran through his mind. Robin knew what he really liked about Starfire. It wasn't just her booty, it was her whole body and her personality. The situation sounds creepy for some, but he loved her that much to risk his life for her.
Robin opened his mouth to explain to her dearest best friend. All that came out was a few nervous last minute mumbling. His throat tightened of the pressure put on him. It was really hard to talk normally to her. Cyborg walked towards Robin who was sweating gallons of water. "This guy right here," Cyborg placed his hand on Robin's shoulder. "He lov-"
The alarm went off before Cyborg could tell Starfire the truth. Robin would have probably killed Cyborg afterwards, but Cyborg didn't care. He wanted to see the young foolish teens together at last. Beastboy and Raven were next on his list to pair up. "Titans! Trouble! Cyborg, check the computer system. Cake can wait," Robin was in complete solve mission mode.
"How about CRIME can wait?" Beastboy really wanted to taste the cake he has been craving ever since Starfire mentioned it. To him, it wasn't fair he had to wait because of some villain.
Raven sighed smacking Beastboy in the back of his head. "Ouch!" Beastboy exclaimed rubbing the back of his head.
"We are not getting cake," Raven crossed her arms not amused by Beastboy's sudden cravings for cake.
"You look cute when you're mad," Beastboy smiled at Raven with such glee. Raven blushed at his comment. Unfortunately, she knew his real attentions.
"Don't flatter yourself, that doesn't work on me," Raven turned away from Beastboy. Her lips did the most amazing gesture she never thought she would never show. Raven smiled at the memory of Beastboy telling her that's she's cute. There has been a few people who have said that before, but for some reason Beastboy caused her stomach to flutter.
This scared her more than anything. Usually, she doesn't fear anything. Now, all she feels is fear that her emotions are starting to turn on her. Perhaps it was happy Raven or lovey Raven escaping from her own mind. But that couldn't be. She has meditated all day and night to keep them in place.
She shook her head to get rid of the crazy thoughts going around. Cyborg typed in a few security codes and locations to find the people causing trouble. Cyborg almost jumped out of his seat when he saw who it was. "Guys..... We have major trouble..... Trigon is back..."
Raven gasped at the news. Her father coming back was not what she wanted. Last time, she almost made it out alive. She doesn't know if her friends could defeat her father this time. He could be too powerful to take out. What makes it worse is that Raven will always be the main target of Trigon. Robin quickly breathed in and out quickly. He blinked a few times to process what he had heard.
All eyes were on Raven. Starfire was really worried that the world will come to an end this time. No more alarms or people to help them. They were lucky enough to have Slade help them at least for a few hours. Slade is long gone now. It's impossible to do it on their own with no help.
"We must fight him!" Starfire wasn't going to let Trigon take over again.
"How? He could be even more powerful this time. He has those weird evil versions of us too," Beastboy made his point.
"Listen, in my few days on earth... I have learned many incredible things and customs humans do. I believe you humans don't give up without a fight. We have to fight. He can't win this war if we don't try. Even if we don't do anything. . . we will be taken down with everyone else. I would rather die fighting than to die without trying!" Starfire was now determined to take down anything that hurts people or the planet she met so many friends.
"She's right, we have to fight. After all, we are heroes to many," Robin smiled at his teammates. His smile dropped when he noticed Raven looking at the computer screen with a worried expression. "Are you okay, Raven?" Robin asked getting all the attention towards Raven.
"No, he wants me. I have to get away from him. If he does get ahold of me. . . bad things will happen. Nobody would be able to stop it," Raven turned to look at Robin. "Please get him away from me!" Raven was about to cry. This was a serious problem, for Raven never cries in public.
Beastboy's eyes soften when he saw how outrageous the situation has gotten. He has never seen Raven this upset before. Part of him wished he could take away her pain like she did. He remembers the day Raven helped him heal his broken heart. He loved Raven just the way she is.
Inside he knew they wouldn't work out, so he stayed away. He thought Terra was a chance to stop the pain from spreading to his body. It didn't work out very well. Sometimes he leans against her door just to hear her breathe. To him, every single detail was unique.
Beastboy took two steps towards a now terrified Raven. Before her could speak, Robin had the chance to walk up to her. Beastboy immediately stopped his tracks to look at them. Robin hugged Raven tightly and she hugged him back; embracing his warmth as comfort. "Don't worry, I won't let him take you away," Robin whispered in her ear. The way he was so sure calmed Raven.
Beastboy had enough. Even though he knew Raven and him wouldn't work out. . . . . it hurt him seeing her with someone else. Robin couldn't possibly take her away from Beastboy. Robin loved Starfire with all his heart. To Beastboy, it meant something else.
Beastboy cleared his throat. Both Robin and Raven backed away from each other. Starfire and Cyborg didn't seem to be affected by what they just saw. "We don't have time to 'hug'. Let's go fight!" Beastboy was not in a good mood anymore. He didn't care about the cake anymore as well.
"Raven shall stay here where it is safe," Starfire pointed out.
"Are you okay with that?" Robin asked Raven. She nodded looking down at the floor.
"The better we go, the better chance we actually defeat her father," Beastboy reminded them; already getting really inpatient with his friends.
"This is why you aren't the leader of the teen titans," Raven commented getting really tired of Beastboy's attitude towards the serious situation. To her, it was important to start a plan before the action was made.
Beastboy stepped forward toward Raven's face with a glare. " So what? I never asked to be a leader nor a follower. You know what? I never asked to be a tita-"
"Enough!" Cyborg interrupted. He knew his friend too well. Cyborg knew Beastboy was about to say something he was going to regret later in his life. "We can't be acting like little kids. We are almost adults. Let's act like mature teens."
" Can we please go fight crime? This argument is not necessa-"
"No!" Beastboy yelled at Starfire with steam coming out of his ears. He was now in the edge of the cliff with everyone. One bad move and everything goes downhill.
Starfire gasped at the sudden response her funny friend ,who usually makes her laugh with awkward earth jokes, gave her. Robin walked in front of them crossing his arms. "Don't talk to her like that!" He warned Beastboy.
"I can talk however I want! You. don't. own. me." Beastboy clenched his teeth and hands.
"Be careful who you talk like that to. I'm your leader-"
"Not anymore! I quit!" Beastboy threw his hands in the air. The whole room filled with gasps and widened eyes. Nobody thought Beastboy would go to those limits because of a silly argument started by himself.
He got out his communicator from his front pocket. His hands touched the texture one last time before he set it down at the table. "I'll go pack," He started to walk to his room.
Just when Beastboy was about to turn around, Cyborg grabbed his arm. "Don't do this to me. Who am I going to beat at video games now? Who's going to argue with me about real meat and fake meat?"
Beastboy turned around to look at his friend with pity. He hasn't thought about how it would affect the others. "Robin is there. Do those things with him because I'm long gone now."
Cyborg sighed. " Fine, leave like the coward you have become. Real warriors stay to fight. Just remember that when you leave that door. . . you are taking a piece of me with you. Nobody can replace you, Beastboy. I hope you know that nobody will make me laugh like you did. Sure your jokes were horrible, but your stubborn actions always made my day."
Beastboy didn't say a word. He was frightened that he could say the wrong thing again. Instead, he walked off to his room over thinking his decision.
It finally happened.
Beastboy has done the craziest thing because of jealousy.
