Foolish Teens

Beastboy kicked the pebble laying around the curve of the road. Cars passed by; observing the way Beastboy looked down to the only object he could focus on: his shoes. To him, it wasn't fair that Robin took all the glory to himself.

Robin knew what Beastboy felt about Raven. He couldn't believe one of his closest friend betrayed him in such a sudden matter. Quitting the Titans wasn't actually the best choice he could make. His original plan was to cause pain to all his friends, so they see how much they needed him. Little did he know that his friends were too busy with Trigon to focus on the main green boy who loved to tell jokes.

" Betrayed by my own friend," Beastboy whispered as his feet dragged all the way to the pizza place. Flashing memories of him having a pizza contest with his best pal, Cyborg, while the others watched broke his heart. Starfire would cheer for both of her friends, Robin would look around to see anything suspicious, and Raven would bring a book to avoid getting involved in silly children games.

The worst part of all was that Beastboy didn't like not being apart of something. He knew he exaggerated with his friends, but admitting it would mean to confront the face of jealousy. He couldn't risk Raven finding out about his real feelings.

He sighed and sat down at their normal table; outside near the city flow of citizens walking by. Some were tourist wanting to see how Jump City worked. The familiar pizza man walked to Beastboy holding the menu card. "Where are the other Titans?" He asked perplexed it was only Beastboy.

Beastboy searched for a good explanation that did not involve jealousy. "They have to go fight Trigon," He shrugged looking at all the pizza toppings he could have.

The pizza man scratched the back of his head. "Why aren't you with them?"

"They don't need me," He mumbled setting the menu card down on the table.

"Of course they do!" The pizza man set his hand on Beastboy's shoulder. "Think about it. Starfire won't be able to laugh without those cheesy jokes of yours, Raven won't have anyone to be annoyed at, Cyborg won't have anyone to compete with, and Robin won't have a friend to watch his back."

Beastboy growled at the name he heard last. His own anger towards him won't let him accept the fact that his friends do need him. Love is a four letter word with infinite power to do as it please. Love can be good or it can be bad. After all, Love spelled backwards is "Evol." Very similar to "evil" if you observe closely.

This means there is always something evil in between love. Only the true power of love can defeat the evil inside us all. "Can I have a  pizza to go? No meat please."

The pizza man nodded and took away the menu card. Beastboy set his head on the table. His body shook at the sudden cold the table was when it made contact with his left cheek. The pizza wouldn't be very long until it was done. A female that had the same slim body as Raven and the same style of clothes caught his attention. At first he thought it was Raven looking for him. His hopes of love filled up with glee in seconds.

His shoulders dropped at the flaming red color of the ladies' hair. Nothing compared to the sweet violate purple Raven naturally had. His eyes looked down with such disappointment. "Is this seat taken?" A female's voice startle him.

He was forced to lift his head up to look at her closely. Her long golden blonde hair went below her shoulders like waves in an ocean. The bluest eyes laid on her face sparkling from the light of the sun. The red skirt she had on went perfectly with her black top. "Not at all," Beatboy offered her a seat next to him.

She thanked him with a smile. Her pale hands rested on the table and her eyes wondered everywhere except to observe Beastboy. "I'm new to this city. Mind helping me around this place? My father visits here sometimes, but he's kind of a jerk."

"Erm.... Sure..... Where you want to go travel?" Beastboy asked not sure if he had time to show her around.

"Anywhere, really. This city is intriguing with all the old building around us."

"Funny how you're letting a stranger take you places," Beastboy was amused by the girl's naive and stubborn moves.

"My name is Tiffany. You are?" She held out a hand for Beastboy to shake.

"Beastboy," He said quickly; accepting her small hand compared to his.

She giggled at the name he has told her. Tiffany did not mind him being green because she thought it was a cute color. Actually, it was her favorite color from all the colors of the rainbow. "My father isn't far from here. Want to met him?" She offered.

Beastboy looked at her perplexed. "Your dad?" He asked slowly. "Isn't he a jerk?"

"Wha- oh yeah! That is why I want you to go with me silly!" She giggled awkwardly. Beastboy didn't really want to go far from the Titans tower. He might not belong there anymore, but it was still his home. Besides, he forgot to get the video game he lend to Cyborg the other day.

"Eh... Okay," Beastboy scratched the back of his neck and avoided eye contact with the female next to him.

"Hooray for me! I get to bring a boy home," Her smile turned wicked when Beastboy turned around to see her. He blinked to look at her again. His eyes have tricked him to see something that he shouldn't. Looking back at her; he only saw her sweet smile spread across her mouth.

As the sun set down, so did the foolish teens going down the small hill. Beastboy has been walking with the strange girl for about two hours. "How far is this place you want to take me?" He panted and turned into a bird, so he wouldn't use his legs.

"Not long. Beastboy?" She looked over to him.

"Yeah?" He replied.

She took a deep breath of bravery on what she wanted to tell him. "My father is Trigon."

Cliffhanger because I'm evil like that. (;
