Also! The couples in this aren't romantic relationships in case anyone didn't understand it already.

When Quinn Fabray was a young child, she first learned that life was a competition. She had to compete against her sister, against her classmates, against every person who could get in her way. Her father taught her all about evolution and how only the strong ones survive. Thus, Quinn needed to always be strong. She needed to show others that she was.

Yet during her pre-teen years, she finally understood that she wasn't a strong personality. She was weak. More weak than words could possibly describe and-just like animals-other people saw right through her. Breaking her was easy, easy because she was different and everything different crumbled down in this society.

First came the glasses, then the braces and weight. She was already a purple figure in a grey world by the time she turned fifteen. It was awful, to say at least, but Quinn did her best to turn the tables around. In such a dull world she refused to be just another copycat. That was her rebellion-standing out and remaining true to herself. But like every other rebellion, it had to be stopped.

"Look at yourself! This was a brand new shirt!"her mother complained as she wiped her daughter's cheek from the dirt. A shirt was soaking wet, a skirt ripped in some parts, shoes covered in mud and tangled hair all together making an imperfect mess. And that was who Quinn Fabray was. A mess. "What happened this time, Quinny?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Maybe you're doing something wrong. Frannie never had that problem."her mother mumbled to herself"Try to fit in some more honey, it will all work out that way."

And Quinn believed her.

.

It took her some time but eventually Quinn understood what normal meant. It took her even less time to understand what an idle teen meant. That term and ideology attracted her more than anything. She wanted to be perfect, the kind of queen bee people aspired to be. She wanted to be the one thing that would guarantee her never being picked on.

It was, after all, just a role to play.

The blonde cheerleader with an IQ below average, dating the school's team's quarterback, with two best friends one more mean than the other. Lucky for her, Quinn was so good at playing theater that she eventually stopped pretending. Her life was no longer a show, but a life. Not hers for that matter but someone's.

Not that she cared that much. Her life, despite the strict and religious family, had its benefits. Her friends were caring enough and not completely stuck-ups and her boyfriend was even better. A bit aggressive from time to time-she never forgot to hide the chairs when he was losing his temper-but a sweet boy in general.

If only he wasn't a boy.

"I just think we need to take our relationship to the next step."

"You want to meet my parents?"

"No!"the reply came out from Finn's mouth a little too fast. The boy shook his head and sat to his bed, Quinn following him with curiosity."I think we should do it."

"What do--oh."Quinn mouthed shocked from what she had heard. Despite common belief, Quinn wasn't a slut. She didn't go around flirting or having sex with other guys. To be honest, her religion aside, she never felt the need to do so. It was-to her eyes-a disgusting activity that could only make her uncomfortable."I can't."

Finn looks at her both confused and hurt(obviously she had hit his manly ego). That was also one of the main reasons why Quinn had chose to say that she couldn't rather that she didn't want to.

"Is it because of me?"

"No."she half-lies. Maybe if she was with someone else, she would have want to but from the people she had met, she had never felt the urge to do something like that."I can't do that before marriage. It's against my belief."

"Oh."

"You understand, right?"

"Yes. Of course."

That's why she likes Finn, he's understanding. It eases her guilt.

(She's lying to both him and herself.)

.

She and Finn broke up.

It's perhaps for the best. For starters, he wasn't that fond of the idea wait-until-marriage and secondly Quinn wasn't really in love with him. She believed they lacked an emotional connection, Santana and Brittany not only agreed with her but also added that this was perhaps  the reason why she didn't experienced any sort of sexual attraction with him.

Yet during Noah Puckerman's party, Quinn couldn't help feeling guilty and sad. So she drank, drowned her deepest regrets and sorrows while letting other past ghosts return to the surface. Perhaps because they never left.

"There you are! Santana is looking for you."Quinn ignored Noah's statement and sniffed her nose on the pillow. Noah sighed, he should remember to change the bed-sheets once this was over."Do you, er, need a tissue?"

"They were right. I'll never fit in."she whispered to herself making the boy lightly uncomfortable. He couldn't just leave her crying to his bed. Mainly because she would make a mess of it and no one wanted to sleep on a tear-wet bed."I'm a failure!"she cried while throwing her arms to him.

"More like tipsy as hell."

"I'm serious."she said and hit his chest with her left hand"I'm stupid, no one likes me a-and I'm fat. God, I'm so fat and the pills won't work anymore. This is why Finn broke up with me, isn't it?"

Noah frowned. Of course this wasn't the reason, plus Quinn wasn't overweight. She wasn't even of an average weight. And Noah would know if she was, he always took notice of these things in girls.(Though he had to admit that that Lauren girl, despite not being his typical skinny bimbo, was hot in her own way.)

"Or was it because I didn't want to have sex with him?"

"What? No! Finn wouldn't break up with you because of that. I mean, I would personally but he's different. And stupid."he added happily. Not that he didn't love Finn, but what was the point of having a girlfriend if you didn't sleep with her?

"I didn't want to."she cried while pressing her palms against her face. She really didn't, it was clear to her now. It wasn't celibacy or anything similar related to her religion. It was her own choice and God, she hadn't chose something in a long time.

She still wanted to be an idle teen though. The perfect blonde queen bee with the equally popular boyfriend who will both be very successful one day and will start a home. She wanted that more than anything because she was in love. In love with an idea. The idea of people admiring her-no matter how narcissistic it sounded-of never underestimating her again.

Yet there was a big flaw in her plan. She had lost the golden boy who would be her ticket to a better life. And if someone as sweet as Finn couldn't put up with her, then who would? What did that mean for her future?

"Oh my God, I'm going to die alone!"she let out a cry making Noah jump a little from the sound of the high pitched voice.

.

Quinn doesn't find love.

She pursues a relationship with the new kid Sam Evans-since Rachel Berry decides to play matchmaker between the two-but it certainly isn't love. They kiss and they hug but Quinn knows that she doesn't want anything more. It isn't Sam's fault, he's as sweet as Finn. Perhaps even more. He doesn't pressure her into anything she doesn't want and for some brief moments Quinn feels guilty.

He really deserves something more than the broken girl she is.

"Ace what?"

"Asexuality."Santana explained and handed her the piece of paper"Lets be real Q, this isn't about religion-we both know that you gave up on it a long time ago-and I don't think it's about not finding prince charming either."

Quinn frowns."I could just be gay, you know."

Santana just laughed bitterly in return making Quinn even more anxious. In her eyes, liking girls would make more sense than what Santana was implying. She wasn't even sure that asexuality existed. It was probably just Santana making stuff up.

"I don't exclude that either, I've seen you making heart eyes with Berry by the way."she added"But I'm gay too and I have slept with plenty of guys and girls. You, on the other hand, haven't been to bed with either. I mean, it's not like you can't get laid if you want to. You're good looking."

"San, I'm not--"

"Just give it a chance."

.

So Quinn did give it a chance.

For the first time in her life, she saw something that described her. Something that showed her that her feelings were completely valid and not childish fears. Of course life could never be perfect and Quinn soon had to come clear to her family about her newly found discovery. She was stupid to think that they would accept her. But it could always have been worse.

She could have gotten pregnant.

So as far as she was concerned, her parents were very lucky. And yes, perhaps Quinn would never find that perfect person who would accept her. Maybe she wouldn't be able to find even friends that accepted her-that was still a possibility.

"But don't you feel the need to...?"Finn questioned clearly shocked as Kurt sent his step-brother a glare.

"No, in fact I don't."

"But that's basic human need."

"Quinn is God?"Brittany asked clearly excited. Quinn just laughed in return. No, she wasn't a God. She was just Quinn, a girl like many others who completed herself just fine without other people's help. Was that a bad thing? Hell no.

Because it was what made her happy and that was what mattered.

Remember kids; Asexuals are valid and if you believe otherwise, I will fight you. Hope you enjoyed, don't forget to spread love. Happy Pride Month.
