After a while Sam is siting with me on the couch. I'm resting my head on his shoulder, our arms intertwined. I feel safe with my family and friends here.

My parents left in the van to the store. Drew, and Tyler sit across from us.

" How's your leg?" asks Drew.

" Way better, but it still hurts."says Sam.

" Just be glad it hit your leg." says Drew.

" Yeah it could have hit your back." says Tyler.

Sam nods. " They must have been aiming for my leg so I wouldn't run." says Sam.

I look up at him and smile. We sit in silence for a while till we hear the van door. Drew, and Tyler get up and go to help. I start to get up but Drew shakes his head.

" Stay with him, we got this." says Drew. I smile and settle back down next to Sam.

Soon were all siting again. My mom looks at us. " So you met the Headmaster?" says my mom.

I nod. " He said you guys helped build the university. Is that true?" I ask.

My mom looks at my dad, then back at me. " Yes Lucy, its true. Sorry we didn't tell you before, but we had no idea that was the university you signed up for. If we had known we would never had let you go." says my mom.

" We started to guess what university it was when they sent three government agents to come get you." says my dad.

" The Headmaster accepted us because he found out I was your child." I say.

They nod. They look at Sam. " Why were you accepted into the university?" says my mom.

Sam shrugs. " I'm not sure, but there must be some reason." says Sam.

After he says the no one says a thing for a while. I ended up falling asleep, but when I woke Sam was gone.

I looked around and see my mom is the only one in the den.

" Sam's on the front porch. Drew, Tyler, and your dad are sleeping." says my mom.

I get up and smile at her then turn and head for the door. I spot Sam leaning against the railing. I open the door and walk out to him.

" Hey Sam." I say.

He smiles at me, but I can tell by the look on his face that somethings bothering him.

" What's wrong?" I ask.

Sam just shakes his head. " I lied. I do know why the Headmaster accepted me." says Sam.

" Why? You can tell me." I say.

" I don't come from a special family. My family lives in a very small house just down the road from the university. My sister and I signed up for it. My sister got in but I didn't, then like you guys I was taken from my house in the middle of the night, come to find out my sister got me in. I was happy until they did the test on her. She had been there a month before I got there." says Sam.

" Did she remember you?"I ask.

He shakes his head. " Kinda. She thinks I'm a really good friend, but her memory is gone. Everything about her has changed. The way she acts, talks, everything." says Sam.

" What was her name." I ask.

He looks at me. " Her name is Jane." says Sam.

My eyes go wide. " Jane is your sister?" I say.

Sam nods. After he nods I can't help myself. I rush foward and hug him. He hugs me back tight.

" We'll save her. I promise you that." I say. Sam hugs me a bit tighter and buries his face in my shoulder.

" Thank you Lucy. For everything." says Sam. I don't say anything back, there's no need.

We stand like that for a while before we sit in the chairs on the front porch and watch the sun set over the ocean tinting the sky red. Sam and I are holding each others hands across the table.

I'm glad he is here with me. I look at him and smile. The Headmaster is the one who introduced us.

That is the only thing I can thank the Headmaster for. Sam sees me staring and smiles.

" What?" says Sam.

I look at his eyes. " I'm just thinking of how great it is to be out of that university and here with you." I say.

" I was just thinking the same."says Sam. I smile and we sit back and watch the sun set.
