I pull up at Drew's house and honk the horn. My fingers taping on the steering wheel.

Drew runs out of his house, he's carrying a bunch of books and paper, he moves all the books into one arm to close the door, but his hands are to full and he drops all his books and paper and scrambles to get them. I smile."You need some help there?I ask.

He gathers all his papers and books."Nah I got it."says Drew.

He walks to my car. I lean over and open the passenger door for him. He hops in and looks at me."Thanks."says Drew. I nod.

Once he closed the door i put the car in drive and press down on the gas peddle. We turn out of his neighborhood."So did you get a letter from the university yet?He asks.

"Yes actually but I left it at the house."I say.

I turn left onto the street our schools on. He never did live far from the school. He looks at me."What did it say?"he asks.

"Well I never read it."I say."Why not?"he asks.

"Because well I'm nervous."I say. I quickly change the subject off me.

"What about you? Did you get your letter yet"I ask. He shacks his head.

"No I haven't gotten mine yet."says Drew.

"Well you'll get it soon enough."I say.

I pull up in the parking lot of the school and park. I put the parking break on and look at him."you ready?I ask. He looks at me confused.

"Ready for what?"he asks. I smile.

"For yet another boring day of high school."I say.

A smile lit his face. He chuckles."Always."he says.

We step out of the car and grab our stuff."Don't drop your stuff this time."I say.

"Hey I never try."says Drew.

We head for the door and walk in. I walk up to my locker and put in my code, the door swings open. I set my books in and grab the one I need. Then a hand taps on my shoulder."Hello Lucy."says Tyler right behind me.

I turn around as I close my locker."Hello Tyler."I say.

I'm about to ask him about his letter when he answers me before can."Before you even ask no I did not get my letter yet but Drew's already told me you have. What did it say?"he asks.

I put my hands in my pocket."I don't know I haven't read it yet."I say.

Drew walks up."Hows this after school you guys come home with me and we'll read it together."I say.

They look at each other then both nod. Before we can say anything more the bell rings. I smile."Well lets get this over with."I say.

They smile and we head for class.
