Did not sleep a wink last night and I'm pretty sure nobody else did either. I texted Mack and Brady and told them they were shocked and thought I was kidding until they saw it on the news. It was currently 12:00 in the afternoon and I had been lying in bed crying, and trying to get some sleep. My stomach gurgled and I went downstairs to find my dad making some fries and chicken. "Hi" I say yawning "hey" my dad says quietly.

"Can I have some?" I ask hearing my stomach growl again "yeah sure" he says in a dull voice and I grab a plate and he puts the food on it. "Thanks" I say turning around and going back to my room. A knock on the door interrupted the art I was doing to keep me from remembering. "Hey there Lili don't you have somewhere to be?" My uncle raises an eyebrow "I don't think dad is going to be opening the shop anytime soon" I say sighing. "I'm not talking about work I mean don't you have to go see Mckenzie and Brady soon" he chuckles but his eyes are filled with sadness.

"Crud I forgot but I don't know if I can" I replied my eyes softening looking at my uncle I see his jaw clench "listen, I know your sad about your mom dying but she wouldn't want to have you sulking in your bed all day when it's summer. I mean she would want you to have fun and be happy like you said she would want us to not be stopped by this obstacle and charge through it and keep doing what where doing" his face softened to the normal expression. "Thanks uncle Steve" I say hugging him "no problem kid now go" he says pushing me off the bed. I laughed a genuine laugh and grabbed my swimsuit and started to jog down to the beach. Meeting up with Brady and Mack beside the lifeguard tower and we said our 'hello's'.

"Ok guys check out what I'm about to do" Mack said nudging Brady and running off into the ocean. "Go Mack!" I yelled with a goofy grin on my face. "Wooh Mack!" Brady yelled his grin matching mine. "Hey Brady" Mack's grandpa said "Man she's rippin it" Brady said looking at him "I don't like the looks of the sky Brady" I looked at the other surfers and they were flying off their boards. "Your right this doesn't look good" Brady said slight worry in his voice I heard the tweet of the whistle from the lifeguard.

"What's she doing?!" Brady asked confused and worried "she's not paddling in" Mack's grandpa said and Brady had a panicked expression on his face. "Brady wait!" I called after him since he was running to the sea-doo "I have to save Mack!" He called back and I ran after him "I'm coming with you" I say after he is getting on the sea-doo "no it's to dangerous" he said while putting on the life jacket "you might need my help" I pleaded "alright come on but hurry". I buckled the life jacket on and joined him holding on to his waist as we bounced along the waves. "Mack" Brady yelled when she fell in my face had an 'o' expression before I knew it Brady dived in after her and me following in after him.

The water consumed us and we finally came to the surface me and Mack coughing and Brady breathing hard. "What happened to the storm?" Mack asked confused "I don't know" I responded "Come on let's go get your board" Brady said and we all swam over to it bringing it with us to the shore. "What did you do!" Mack exclaimed "I was trying to save you this is the part where you tell me I'm your hero and then shower me with kisses" Brady said. I laughed at that and then Mack said "that was my last chance to ride that monster wave before I'm gone forever" she shoots back I am awkwardly standing there listening. "Brady" Mack says in a tone indescribable when we walked up onto the shore I looked at what she was looking at and had a confused expression on my face when I saw one of the people from Wet Side Story Giggles "yeah" Brady said throwing his life jacket on the ground looking up "yeah" he said kind of confused walking towards some surf boards and we hide behind them seeing the same exact people from Wet Side Story. "Maybe we've died and ended up in a miracle" Mack says disbelief in her voice while me and Brady gave her a look and then turned back to watching.
