The kids couldn't stay very long, but at least they got to spend New Years at Grimmauld Place. Teddy was in training to join the Order. His parents weren't too happy, but he was a powerful wizard and very skilled already, so he was able to join. He was even thinking about becoming an Auror, but only once he was back in his time. His time......




"Does everyone have some Butterbeer or Firewhisky?" Sirius called.

Teddy, Sirius, Remus, Tonks, the Weasley's, Harry, Hermione, surprisingly Snape, and Dumbledore were all in basement. Snape was only there because he was to assess Teddy's potion skills, and Dumbledore made him stay afterwards.

"Ready? Ten ... nine ... eight ... seven ... six ... five ... four ... three ... two ... one ... HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone cried in unison, apart from Snape.

They all cheered and hugged and wiped tears of joy away, but again, not including Snape. Teddy, a little tipsy from the Firewhisy, hugged Snape.

"Ah!" Sirius cried. "He's contaminated!"

Sirius darted forward and hoisted Teddy off the floor by his waist, carrying him to the corner, not noticing Snape leaving to go upstairs.

"Stand still." Sirius instructed. Aiming his wand at Teddy, he cried, "Aguamenti."

Teddy was pelted with colt shots of water. He cried out in shock every time.

"Dude, stop it!" Teddy cried, his clothes now soaked through.

"Be thankful you are now clean."

"I'm soaked through though." Teddy scowled. Much to the girls enjoyment, Teddy took off his shirt and threw it in the sink. "Didn't like that one anyway....what?" Teddy had noticed the girls staring at his chest.

"You're pretty fit." Ginny said cooly.

"Yeah well. Worked out with uncle Charlie some days of the summer. Said I wanted to work with dragons." Teddy said. "Apparently I'd be pretty good at, being sly and cunning and all."

"Sly and cunning, you sound like a Slytherin." Sirius scoffed

"That's maybe because I was in Slytherin." Teddy said as he scrunched his face and his hair changed to green with silver tips.

"You were in Slytherin?" Remus said, turning to his son.

"Aye. Mixture of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff creates a Slytherin, sometimes anyway. But we aren't all bad now. Still some right pricks in there, but blood purity doesn't fully matter anymore."

"Really, what happened?" Harry asked. "To change everyone's mind I mean."

"War happened." Teddy said solemnly, looking around at his parents and Harry. "But don't forget that we Slytherins value loyalty and trust very highly, betrayal isn't taken lightly."

Everyone was silent after that.

"On a happier note, who want to play Spin the Bottle.'?" Sirius cried happily, trying to ease the tension.

"I'll play." The kids, a drunk Mr Weasley, excited Tonks, and a reluctant Remus said.

Now sitting round the table, they had an empty Firewhisky bottle in the middle as they all sat around it. The basement was still cold as the game started.

"Ok, we'll play the version James, Remus and I played at Hogwarts; Pull, Hug, Dare, Kiss, Truth." Sirius said excitedly. The kids all cheered, but the adults looked at each other, worried.

"Who'll go first?" Hermione asked

"I will!" Ginny cried. She reached over and spun the bottle. It spun for a while before it pointed at Ron.

"Ginny, you have to either pull, hug or kiss Ron, or, answer a truth / do a dare he says." Sirius said happily.

Ginny glared at Ron.

"Well I ain't making any contact with you." Ginny said. "So, I'll do a dare."

"Ok um .... you have to kiss Snape on the cheek." Ron said meanly.

Standing up, Ginny smirked and ran upstairs. She came back down five minutes later, a smirk on her young face.

"Nailed it." Ginny sung as she sat down, earning her some horrified looks.

"Who is next?" Sirius asked.



They played for hours. With some very interesting combinations happening. Including; Fred kissing Hermione on the hand, George hugged Tonks, Tonks kissed Harry on the cheek, a very drunk Sirius dared a tipsy Remus to run around outside in the snow, wearing nothing but his underwear for ten whole minutes, Mr Weasley dared Teddy to see how many animal faces he could make in a minute, Harry asked Ron what his favourite food is (chicken), and Sirius dared them all to a marshmallow eating contest (Sirius won).


But because it was getting late, Teddy had the finally spin.

"Ok, Teddy, whoever this lands on, within reason of course, you have to pull them for three minutes." Sirius said excitedly.

Teddy spun the bottle really fast, and awaited his kissing fate. It started to slow, before landing on Ginny, but only just.

"Oh no." Teddy sighed.

"Not our sister." Fred, George, and Ron protested.

"The bottle has spoken guys, must be done." Teddy said.

He stood up and took Ginny's hand.

"Lets to somewhere private." He whispered in her ear.

"Please excuse us." Teddy said happily, winking as he left the room with Ginny in tow.

"Should we be worried?" Remus asked Tonks. She only shrugged as she lay her head on the table, exhausted.

Teddy and Ginny soon returned. The Weasley brothers were about to threaten Teddy about his minutes with Ginny, when suddenly, there was a loud crash on the stairs; a thing was falling down them.

Wands ready in hand, everyone turned round to see who, or what, it was. Teddy gasped when he saw the person standing up.

"Uncle Bill, what are you doing here?" Teddy cried, leaping to his feet.

"I'm here to take you back. Now quickly take my hand, we only have a few moments or so before we are taken back to our time!" Bill cried urgently, reaching out his hand for Teddy to take.

Teddy hesitated before standing up. This was it; he was going back home, to his proper home.
