Chapter 17
I hope you all had a great New Year. I just hope this year will be a while lot better than last year.

Harry and Teddy were hesitant. Neither in the mood for the welcome that lay on the other side. But, they all had been waiting long enough for Teddy to get back, so against their will, they entered the house.
"They'll be in the living room." Harry said. Grasping the door handle, he was about to twist it when Teddy stopped him.
"Harry, I can't." Teddy said, his voice was shaking. "Not after ...."
Looking deep into Teddy's eyes, Harry could see the pain held inside them.
"I understand. Go upstairs to bed, I'll tell everyone we are back." Harry said. Teddy nodded before heading up the stairs.
"Teddy," Harry said, stopping Teddy from leaving. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Harry." Teddy sighed. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Harry smiled sadly before entering the room. All the Weasley's, and of course the Potters, were all waiting in the living room. The kids were allowed home because it was a family issue, and Teddy was basically family. Silence fell as Harry closed the door, everyone noticing his downcast face.
"Hello everyone." Harry said, avoiding their eyes.
"Harry, you're back." Ginny said excitedly.
"Harry, did it work?" Molly asked. "Is Teddy back?"
"Yeah, yeah he's back. Upstairs, actually." Harry said.
"Didn't he want to see us?" Victoire asked, sadness in her eyes.
"Not really." Harry sighed. "It ... it's tough for him at the moment. So I let him go up."
"What happened?" Bill asked.
"Eighteen of June, 1995." Harry sighed as he sat down. "Figure it out."
The room was silent as they all tried to remember that date. After s few minutes, Hermione gasped, she understood.
"The day Sirius died." She squeaked.
Harry nodded slowly.
"You two didn't ..... " Molly started before trailing off into silence.
Harry nodded again. "He went to go help fight against the Death Eaters. I arrived only a minute before it happened."
Ginny, Ron and Hermione stood up and gave him a massive hug. They all remembered how hard he had taken it when the death first happened, but to see it again must've been torture. Tears slowly rolling down his face from how much they cared, but he wasn't the only one in need of comfort.

Teddy ran up the stairs to his room. He'd been holding back tears ever since he left the past, but he had to let it out now. Collapsing onto his bed, he sobbed loudly into his pillow. He was glad his room was the top floor, he didn't want their sympathy and comfort, he just wanted to cry and be alone. Hugging his pillow tight, his face completely covered, heartbreaking sobs muffled, Teddy curled up into a ball to keep warm. The little warmth was the only comfort he needed.
It was very early in the morning when Teddy woke up. His face sticky with tear marks. Opening the curtain, he saw it was still a little dark outside, the sun just beginning to rise. He should go back to sleep, but he was too awake.
After he had breakfast, showered and got dressed, he quietly left Grimmauld Place, leaving nothing but a simple, small note behind.
Teddy walked slowly through the streets, welcoming the silence but hating the thoughts and memories that invaded his mind. Sighing, Teddy closed his eyes, and with a loud crack, he was gone.
"Hey dad, mum." Teddy said, crouching down in front of the two graves. "I meet you two yesterday. It was only because I accidentally got sent back in time, back to 1995. Best time of my life admittedly, so many laughs even in those dark times. I was sad that you two weren't together then, it was still great though." Teddy chuckled weakly. "I miss you both terribly. At least we got to spend basically a whole year together, even though you don't and didn't even remember it."
Wiping his face clean from fresh tears, Teddy took a folded piece of paper from his pocket and opened it.
"I drew this for you both, and Sirius. Sorry I took it from you dad, after I gave it to you. It's just that you wouldn't even remember who drew it, probably would've disappeared after Harry wiped your memories anyway." Teddy said sadly.
Teddy took out his wand and using the permanent sticking spell, he stuck the drawing to the foot of his dads grave. Smiling sadly, he watched as the three figures on the paper fell and stumbled around due to their massive heads. Staring at the caricatures made the feelings of sadness and loss grow even more.
It was only when the sun had made a full appearance in the sky that he knew he should go back before they all get too worried, but Teddy still sat down on the grass, studying every inch of the white marble graves that bore the names of his parents.
And as he sat there in silence, he thought what he wouldn't give just tell his parents he loved them and admired very much, just one last time, and have them remember it this time....
