toni: hi everyone, welcome to the teddies and tea show! toni here! and i actually have the other toni here with me to help with the q&a today. she's actually mad that i didn't get y'all to ask her questions but we both know she wouldn't have answered them anyway.

toni: *scribbles something in her writing pad* i could've answered like this you big head.

toni: okay first of all, my head is a normal size and secondly, that would have taken far too long. anyway, more importantly, we need to find a way to distinguish between the two of us or we might cause confusion as we go on.

toni: *scribbles furiously and lifts writing pad* i'm not changing my name for you.

toni: uh, why not? it was my name first and i haven't even asked you to do that.

toni: *shoves writing pad in toni's face*

toni: *rolls eyes* since i'm apparently the only mature one here, i'll change my name.

toni: *smirks*

cool kid: you're so childish.

toni: *frowns and writes* you can't do that.

cool kid: do what?

toni: change your name to that.

cool kid: why the hell not?

toni: 'cause it's a lie.

cool kid: how?

toni: you aren't cool.

cool kid: you have a mean streak y'know? maybe that's why you don't talk. imagine all the verbal lava you'd have drowned us in if you did. yikes.

toni: shut up and change it.

cool kid: anyway, i'll change it because i want to and because if you keep shoving that book in my face, i might lose it.

toni: *smiles smugly* better.

tony: this is so weird because it's my dad's.

toni: stop complaining and get on with the interview.

tony: *shoots a dirty look her way* right. hi once again, guys! sorry about that. i didn't think inviting her would prove to be more trouble than it's worth. i'm sure y'all are eager to get to the q&a already. but before we introduce our special guests, i'd like to share a bit of trivia with you.

toni: she's going to talk about how she didn't have enough time or chapters to work with.

tony: well yeah, kinda. from the beginning i limited myself to fifty chapters and an epilogue wasn't even a certain thing. so there were quite a number of details that i had to forego to keep within the number of chapters that i had set out for myself.

toni: i'm one of those details.

tony: right. i was supposed to go into more detail about toni, her friendship with charlie, why she's so quiet and the possibility (or lack thereof) of a relationship with darryl. those two as well. i wish i'd been able to talk about them more. actually, that goes for all the characters in this story.

toni: i want to start the trivia.

tony: sure. you can put them up on the big screen.

toni: *excitedly grabs the tablet and swipes around until the large screen next to them lights up*

the teddy trivia!

1. charlie is an interior design major and was starting her last year of college after the summer.

2. although her full name is charlotte, she only answers to charlie (except when she's in trouble) and would completely ignore anyone who refers to her by her full name (even me).

3. darryl will be in his third year of college after the summer (same age as jimin).

4. darryl is actually on a basketball scholarship.

5. valeria first showed an interest in gymnastics when she was four and she sat next to darryl while he watched the olympics on tv. she hassled their parents for months until they signed her up for classes when she was five.

6. at fifteen, valeria already has three gold medals and one silver and one bronze medal under her belt.

7. gillian and gabriel were surprise babies. everyone thought valeria would be the last child.

8. gillian and gabriel are actually both really great runners (when they aren't causing trouble).

9. cat is actually an adopted child.

10. her parents are an interracial couple (white dad, african american mum) whom she absolutely adores. she's mentioned that she has no interest in finding out who her real parents are.

11. hodan has three older brothers and a baby sister (hence why she's so athletic).

12. hodan's blog has garnered a lot of attention and she's a pretty famous online personality.

13. kash's father is a pretty famous fantasy novels writer and she gets her talent from him.

14. jimin is at the top of his class and is literally the favourite of all the professors in his department.

15. namjoon actually has tech and software companies lined up and waiting for him to graduate so they can snatch him up.

16. jungkook's parents are stinking rich. even though it's not expressly mentioned, it's implied.

tony: okay there are way more trivias but i think we all want to get to the interview already so we'll just stop here for now.

toni: why did we even write so many?

tony: i really don't know but i got lazy and slacked off towards the end. maybe in the future, i'll rewrite teddy bear as a longer story and fix in all the details and tidbits i wasn't able to. and i'll make you a bit more prominent.

toni: good. you should.

tony: anyway, without further ado, let's welcome the folks you've all been waiting for, the cast of teddy bear!

toni: *raises placard* cue applause, you cowards.

*cast comes in and sit as applause goes up*

tony: where the hell did you get that?

toni: i made it myself.

tony: i can't believe you.

toni: *winks* twas necessary.

tony: *turns to cast with a smile* welcome to the t&t show, guys!

hodan: thanks for having us.

tony: thank you for coming. heard you had to forfeit a group hangout to be here.

jimin: yeah, but we figured we could do that anytime but not this.

kaleb: and how can we even say no to you?

valeria: darryl did. *smirks* at first.

charlie: but then he found out who would be co-hosting and changed his mind. *waves fingers* hey, best friend!

toni: *grins and waves back*

darryl: *blushing madly* i only changed my mind because this could be good publicity for my basketball future.

tony: um i don't think we have any basketball scouts or sponsors in our audience, darryl.

darryl: oh? it's too late to leave anyway.

charlie: *smirks* suurrre...

tony: jungkook's awfully quiet. *squints* wait, is he sulking?

apollo: he literally got dragged out in the middle of a videogame.

lia: i don't know why he thought he could play a full rpg ten minutes before we had to leave.

namjoon: he wasn't listening to lia so i had to step in.

tony: you didn't hit him again, did you?

kash: he just dragged him by the collar.

jungkook: *glares at the older boy* he slacked the t-shirt yaya picked for me.

cat: it's funny that you're getting mad because he slacked the t-shirt the girl you refused to listen to picked out for you.

jungkook: *crosses arms over his chest and huffs*

tony: *waves at the twins* hey cuties! comfortable?

gillian: *nods and kicks her legs* yes! this place is so pretty!

tony: aww, thank you, angel!

gabriel: i like it too! *points to the screen* and there's a big tv!

kaleb: they're too cute!

toni: let's get started. we're getting behind schedule.

tony: oh right. please pull up the first question.

toni: *swipes fingers over the tablet*

everyone: *turns attention to the screen*

apollo: *laughs* she's doing great! she's practising for the next archery olympics so i don't really get to see her often.

darryl: *glances at toni and sighs* fine. i'd try to find the fastest fu- fudging way off the island.

tony: what darryl's saying is that he'd rather risk swimming with the sharks than be stranded with jungkook.

darryl: you're over exaggerating.

from minnawrites: who's your favourite character from any of your works if you had to choose and why?

tony: *has mini panic attack* my favourite character? damn, i'm going to need a sec. hm... this is so bleeping hard. um, i have two, assuming this question refers to ocs. one of them is from a story that actually hasn't been published so i'm not even sure if i should say her name. actually i can mention her name but not the reason why. it's eilidh (pronounced ay-lee) rose. just know i enjoy writing and developing her character while i work on the plot. my second favourite has to be rosalie from baby mama. i absolutely adore her and she was inspired by the toddlers i have around me so she's extra special, kinda like these twin cuties over here.

toni: why did your answer have to be so long?

tony: why do you always have to bully me? just show us the next question instead of coming for me.

toni: whatever.

cat: yeah, i love walks on the beach, i find it super romantic, especially at sunset when the sky is all pretty and a fuzzy kind of colourful. but not too long though because it gets pretty breezy and my hair ends up slapping my face.

hodan: they're tryna steal your girl, apollo. watch out.

apollo: they can try. *smiles cutely at his girlfriend* it'll fail in the end.

cat: he's right. i only have eyes for him.

tony: i'm curious. what's your favourite thing about him?

cat: do you mean overall or like physically?

tony: at the risk of hodan criticising me, let's say physically.

cat: his smile. definitely his smile. his laugh too, but his smile more.

tony: why?

cat: it not only lights up his entire face but the room too. whenever he smiles, i just feel like everything is definitely going to get better, no matter what. it just lifts my spirits, like an instant pick-me-up.

apollo: *beams brightly and pulls her into a warm hug*

kash: *laughs* it's going pretty great. i'm still at the receiving end of countless cringe worthy pickup lines. he's like a breathing, walking pickup line factory. but they make me laugh sometimes so it's good.

kaleb: she has started to catch on to a lot of them now though. she knows when she walks right into a line before i even say it.

jungkook: personally, i don't think i'd have survived this long listening to all those lines everyday. one of us probably would've been dead by now.

lia: dang it! what i mean is, it's definitely a lot to handle mostly and it's chaotic like ninety-nine percent of the time - like we basically chase our parents out of the house with our antics. but i actually love it, i can't imagine our home not loud and bubbling with life even when half of us are not there. and to the second half of the question, yes, i had crushes before... *pauses and glances at her older brother* jungkook. but i just admired from afar and never really did anything about it till the feeling went away on its own.

darryl: *huffs* they weren't good enough for you anyway.

namjoon: okay, so i wake up to get some water to drink around one in the morning and i'm pouring myself a glass when i hear footsteps. i peek out the kitchen only to see jungkook zombie walking towards the front door. i'm there like, not again, so i drop my glass of water and rush towards him. as soon as i put my hands on his shoulder to stop him, this little shit- *glances at the twins* -of paper twists around and throws his leg in the air like he's jackie chan. the heel of his foot lands square on my nose and i swear i thought i heard my nose crack. and i'm screaming and writhing in pain and he just walks away. jimin was the one who ended stopping him and cleaning the blood off my face.

hodan: *whispers* nice save there.

namjoon: *embarrassed* thanks.

jungkook: i'm really sorry, hyung.

darryl: let him kick you in the nose so you can be even.

lia: darryl!

namjoon: i like the way you think.

lia: damn, you're right. they're deceptively soft but all those hand stands have created devilish muscles. *looks at valeria seriously* you have to be gentle when you touch my face.

apollo: *laughs heartily* it's not happening, lia. chill.

toni: the next question is for jimin.

jungkook: it's like all these questions are designed to get them mad at me again.

jimin: it's unpleasant and frustrating. it shaved years off my life and i never want to go through it ever again. when i have kids, i hope they're nothing like jungkook in that phase because that was a nightmare.

jungkook: *sarcastic* no need to mince words, hyung. i have a heart of steel.

tony: you sure are a fan favourite today, jeon.

toni: both on set and with our readers.

from TAEHYUGSS: when did you start to fall in love with lia?

jungkook: finally, a change in topic. *breathes in deeply* um it wasn't something that happened suddenly so it's not like a defining moment, except you count the moment i actually realised it. but i think when it started to change from a huge crush to something else was when she first spent the night at my place. when she insisted in her sleep on cuddling her teddy bear and held on to me until i became that teddy and i found myself thinking that i wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life holding her like that.

lia: *hides her face behind him in mortification*

darryl: 'when she first spent the night'?

kaleb: kook, i think you should run.

namjoon: i'll say kay is right.

darryl: *already getting off the seat* 'first spent the night'?!

lia: *jumps on her feet and spreads her arms out* chill, darryl! it was not intentional. i was the one who fell asleep and wouldn't wake up.

jungkook: *clings to lia's t-shirt and peeks from behind her*

darryl: and the other times?

lia: well...

apollo: r.i.p, jungkook.

kaleb: he will be missed.

darryl: *completely off the sofa and on his feet* i'm gonna kill him!

charlie: *stands up quickly and grabs her brother's arm* you need to calm down, darryl.

charlie: seriously? this isn't the time. *looks at her best friend* toni, help me!

toni: *sighs but stands up and writes quickly* darryl, take it easy. lia isn't a kid anymore and besides, it was completely innocent.

darryl: *takes a deep breath* okay. if you say so.

tony: great, let's continue! this already longer than like five chapters of the main story combined.

tony: rude.

tony: okay, firstly, i'm super flattered. i don't think my writing is all that but i'm really touched that you think so. secondly, no, i'm not a literature major. i actually graduated from law school last year so i'm working as a junior lawyer for now (it's hard af). but i do hope to get a second degree in literature because i really enjoyed literature classes in high school and my first couple of years in uni so we'll see.

kaleb: and the coolest person to me, hmm... i think hodan. she's really mature and composed but she also knows how to have fun when the time comes. plus, she takes pretty amazing pictures!

jungkook: uh, sure.

from lavienguk: why do you think lia can make you fall asleep?

jungkook: um, yaya has a way of ridding my mind of every other thought and making me only think of her in that moment without even trying. and because of her cute and charming personality, i find myself relaxing and it's just much easier to give in to sleep. so basically, she can make me fall asleep because she's yaya.

lia: *smiling big*

from MangoRepublic: how did this book come to be? what inspired you to create it?

tony: initially, teddy bear was supposed to be like a one shot but it spun out of control when my imagination went wild. it was actually inspired by a real life lia. she's a very fluffy, goofy little person. and i call her lia bear because she's so cute (sometimes) and cuddly (she's tiny). and the nickname got me thinking, what if she was like a teddy bear for jungkook? (he's her bias). like how some kids can't sleep without holding their favourite teddy bear or blanky except that for jungkook, she calms his restless mind enough for him to fall asleep. did that make sense? sorry sometimes the words get jumbled when i try to explain something.

toni: how the heck are you a writer then?

tony: shut up. let me live.

toni: but i didn't talk.

tony: shut up. anyway, as for paperbacks, there's children of blood and bone by tomi adeyemi, my sister, the serial killer by oyinkan braithwaite, false impression by jeffrey archer, artemis fowl by eoin colfer, cocktails at le carmen by isabelle andover, the sun is also a star by nicola yoon, girl, missing by sophie mckenzie. i started reading queenie by candice carty-williams and it's definitely promising. m.e rabb also has some fantastic books i read when i was younger and getting more into writing. interestingly, i read more fantasy and crime/mystery than romance when it comes to paperbacks.

toni: how long is this gonna take?

tony: quit being a player hater and interrupting me. where i get my inspiration from? i have to say everything. literally anything can trigger an idea for a story in my head. i have a couple of pretty cool story ideas - if i do say so myself - that literally came from some crazy dream i had and couldn't get out of my head (usually involving a member of bts). some ideas grow out of movies, songs or books i've read, something i or someone else randomly said, my personal experiences or those of people i know. but i usually leave a piece of me in the stories i write. the first full length story i ever wrote when i was around thirteen was inspired by my life at the time and my classmates. it was handwritten in this red journal i had that i can't find anymore but i was really proud of it. my writing was super cringey but the idea wasn't all bad. i might try a rewrite of it. so basically, my inspiration comes from nearly everywhere. sorry for the super long answer haha.

tony: hi, my biggest would probably be boredom, haha. i have a very active imagination and i get inspired by a lot of things. but when i'm bored, i draw up a lot of scenarios in my head. it's difficult to pick a favourite work but it'll probably be a three way tie between spring day, shades of summer and baby mama. my favourite character in this book, no offence, guys, are hodan and namjoon. first fanfiction i read on here, i think it was call me, dr park. i'm not sure, it was like three years ago.

tony: i feel like i've answered the second question a hundred times already haha. maybe we should have grouped similar questions together. in response to your first question, i have plans of going for my master's degree and a second degree in literature - looks like i've still got lots of school in my future. i'd also really love to publish paperbacks of some of my stories. so yeah.

toni: cool. jungkook, you're on.

jungkook: boiled. i like hard-boiled eggs.

lia: *glares at her brother* i honestly can't remember. it's been a year now, and unlike jungkook, my brain only stores file for a certain time before deleting them.

toni: and the final question, thank the lord, is for the yapper.

from tigerslillys: how do you plan out a book before you begin writing?

toni: ah hell, it's going to be a long answer.

tony: hm, before i decide to publish a story, i have to have the end in mind. that way, i know the destination i'm working towards. before i flesh out anything, i distinguish the exposition, the climax and the dénouement after i ask myself what the main crux of my story is (also the rising and falling actions). that way, i already have a rough idea of how the plot unfolds. i pick a timeline and setting, a background when and where all the events in the story occur and work with that. even if the name of the location is not specifically stated, there is one, fictional or not. it's the backdrop to the scenes i create in my head. i consider the pace and general mood of my plot before outlining a rough draft of the number of chapters and the event that occurs in each one. then i go on to my characters, their personality traits, habits, quirks and not only how the plot affects them but how they affect the plot aka character development. depending on the characters, i'll then proceed to tweak the storyline. some scenes might reimagined or even completely scratched out because of the way i've written a character so that it blends more. i also decide on the type of narration and narrator and stick with it - present or past tense, first person or third person. finally i begin to flesh out each chapter as i go, editing it to suit the story and to the best of my abilities. that's basically it. i hope that helped.
