A book opens...

"Once upon a time, down in the deep blue sea, in a special conch shell lived the most exuberant creatures in the whole ocean; The Techno Trolls."

The Techno Trolls are living happily within the giant conch shell.

"They loved nothing more than to rave, and dance, and sing. Dance, and sing, and rave, and rave, and dance, and sing, anddanceandraveandsinganddanceandrave..."

A Techno Troll collapsed from exhaustion.

"But then, one day, the Techno Trolls were discovered by...a Sharkanian."

A fearsome creature that was half-man, half-shark discovered the Techno Trolls with a fearsome look on his face.

"The Sharkanians didn't know how to sing..."

They sang off-key.

"...or dance..."

They punched each other.

"...or even rave."

They battled with tritons.

"They were the most miserable creatures in all the sea."

Lightning struck them.

"And once they saw how happy the Techno Trolls were, they wanted some of that happiness for themselves."

A Techno Troll sang to the Sharkanian...before he was shoved into its mouth and swallowed.

The other Trolls gasped.

"Eating a Techno Troll made them feel so happy they started a tradition..."

The Techno Conch was set in a cage in the center of the Sharkanian kingdom, Shark City.

"Once a year, every year, the Sharkanians would gather around the Techno Conch to taste happiness...on a holiday...they called...

...Techquinox."

The little princess of the Sharkanians, Princess Freya, was quickly swimming to the room of her father, King Fang.

King Fang was fast asleep...then his daughter came in.

"Good morning, Daddy!"

Fang was still asleep.

"Daddy, wake up! Daddy! Wake up! Wake up, Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"

He finally woke up when she poked him with his triton.

"Freya! What time is it?"

Freya excitedly answered, "It's...Techquinox!"

And with that, Fang and Freya burst out the castle's front door.

"Techquinox! Our one day to be happy!"

The other citizens of Shark City had gathered around the Techno Conch where the Techno Trolls lived.

"Give it up for the Keeper of the Techno Trolls! Your Minister of happiness! Your royal chef..."

Chef Flesher appeared.

"...me."

He used his triton to set up a small light show.

He then announced, "Today is a very special Techquinox as there is one amongst us who has yet to taste a Techno Troll."

Freya knew he was talking about her.

"Princess Freya..."

She got excited.

"...your time has come."

Fang said to her, "It's ok, love. I was nervous on my first Techquinox."

Freya just smiled and gave a thumbs up, "Ok, Daddy."

"That's my girl."

She and Flesher entered the cage with the Techno Conch to get her a Techno Troll.

Flesher said as he pointed to a small pod in the conch, "I've chosen an extra special Troll just for you."

Freya got excited.

Flesher opened it and grabbed the Troll inside.

"The most vibrant, exuberant, spirited Troll of all."

Freya got more excited.

"And because every princess deserves a prince, I give you the one they call...Prince Trollex."

Freya immediately took him, "Please make me happy, Prince Trollex."

When she put him in her mouth, Flesher asked, "How do you feel?"

However, she spit him out, "That one's rotten!"

Flesher saw the Troll was actually a dummy made of kelp.

"It's fake?"

The others heard, "Fake?"

Even Fang, "Fake?!"

Flesher kicked the conch...to find it full of kelp-dummies.

Freya asked, "They're gone?"

Fang was displeased, "Where are they?"

Flesher reassured him, "Don't worry, sire. We'll find them."

His minions put their heads to the ground.

Including Freya who said, "I think I hear something."

She was right.

The Techno Trolls had dug a tunnel under the city, using their bright, neon bodies to light the way.

As they were swimming, they were passing up baby Trollex.

"We got Trollex!"

"Pass him to me!"

"Here comes Trollex!"

"Here he is!"

He finally got to his parents, King Phyto and Queen Varuna.

Varuna sighed with relief when her son was in her arms, "There's my prince."

Trollex smiled, "Mama."

However, one of the others came to them, "Your Majesties, some of the others can't keep up."

They both immediately started swimming back, "Never swim alone!"

The Techno Trolls who couldn't keep up were about to be dug up by the Sharkanians, who were able to track them.

Freya was upset, "Daddy, where are they?!"

Fang yelled at Flesher, "Don't just float there! Make my daughter happy!"

Flesher yelled back, "She will be happy!"

He grabbed his triton and started blowing up the dirt.

The Techno King and Queen were almost out of harm's way with the rest of the Techno Trolls when the dirt around them started blowing up.

They looked at each other and knew there was only one thing to do.

They spun in a circle to create a current to push the others out.

Once they got out, one of them looked back in the tunnel and said, "I don't think King Phyto and Queen Varuna made it."

They all made sad and worried faces.

However...

"When we say 'never swim alone'..."

The King and Queen swam out with the other Trolls looking with joy.

"..we mean 'never swim alone'!"

They all cheered.

However, they stopped when a child asked, "King Phyto, Queen Varuna, where's Prince Trollex?"

Queen Varuna answered, "Don't worry. He's safe."

Prince Trollex came out from his mother's hair, "Never swim alone!"

Everyone went, "Awwww!"

King Phyto then said, "But, we'll be a lot safer the further we get from Shark City! Go, go! Hurry!"

The Techno Trolls traveled as far as they could from Shark City.

Meanwhile, in the city...

"That's right! Take him away!"

Flesher was being carried out of the city.

Fang shouted, "He is hereby banished from Shark City forever!"

Flesher shouted, "I'll make you happy again! I'll find the Trolls!"

When he was thrown out, he said, "And shove them down your ungrateful throats."

Inside the castle, Freya said to her father, "But, Daddy, I never got to eat a Troll. What will make me happy now?"

Fang took his daughter in his arms and said, "Well, my love, I can't imagine anything else that can..."

Freya frowned.

Fang continued, "But, you know what they say; Good things come to those who wait. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you will finally be happy."

Freya smiled a little.

And a young cleaning boy about her age also smiled.

The Techno Trolls found a small reef far away from the city.

King Phyto announced, "Here! Right here is where we will rebuild our civilization! It has everything we need; Nice light, clean water...and sweet acoustics!"

Varuna held up baby Trollex, who used baby Techno Beat Drop Button, or Beat Drop for short, to start a beat.

His parents then used their DJ set to create Techno music for their people to dance to.

For the next few days, they built a new home, which they called Techno Reef.
