~ Important Author's Note (Pls Read) ~
Hey my pups, so I don't know how long this oneshot will be. In fact I don't even have a set story for this it's just a cute idea I had in the back of my mind. It's essentially just a wholesome thought I had of Solar and Ruin going out to like a park on a warm spring day. I will also admit... this was kinda inspired by the Show Of The Week that went on a while ago, on the TSBS discord called "April Showers Bring May Flowers" where you were to draw your favorite TSBS characters of your choosing enjoying the spring weather. However because it takes me way too long to draw I just did this instead even if it's weeks after that Show Of The Week event. Other than that because I don't know how long this oneshot will be or have a really set idea we'll just see how this one plays out. I genuinely have no idea what to write with this so my mind will just come up with whatever shit it comes up with as I go. Other than that I hope you guys enjoy this oneshot anyway ;3

~ Ruin's POV ~

It's been a few months since Solar and I started dating. We started in February and now it's just the end of April and the start of May. During the time we've been together no one has even found out about it yet and we hope to keep it that way until we're both ready to say it.

Anyway, it was now May and I've noticed the spring days have been very nice and warm lately. However I was stuck in the Pizzaplex doing whatever I could help with. I've kinda took up putting on plays for the kids in the theater during times movies aren't playing.

When I put them on I noticed that even Solar will sometimes take a break from running concession just to watch me. That's when I will sometimes get minor nervousness and even to an extent a little stage fright. Solar still makes me nervous for some reason but the kind of nervousness you get over liking someone.

Either way, today was one of those nice spring days and I honestly didn't want to stay cooped up in the Pizzaplex. I wanted to go out but not on my own. Luckily it was a day off so the Pizzaplex was closed. Yet since I didn't want to go out on my own I thought of asking Solar out.

I knew Solar was working on something on the computer at the front desk in the daycare because I swear to god that man always has to be working on something. So because of that I guarantee he'll probably say "no" to going out. That's where I have a plan if he does... overdramatic drama king... it always works mainly because it annoys him. So with that I leave the theater and head down to the daycare.

Ruin: "Solar Darling, are you free?"

Solar: "Right now? No, I'm currently working on something."

Ruin: "Darn, because I just finished setting up for performances I'm going to put on for kids tomorrow. So I wanted to see if you were now free as well and would like to go out to the park with me or something. It's been a while since we went out on a date and it's been real nice outside lately. I hate being cooped up in here."

Solar: "Sorry hun. I've got to get these things done."

Ruin: "Figured."

Solar: "I'm sorry."

Ruin: "But, you've been working all day Solar Darling. You and I should get out for a bit it's been so nice. Even if we just head out for a little while then come back."

Solar: "Again, I'm sorry hun. I just can't right now."

Ruin: "Don't make me do it Darling."

Solar: "Do what?"

Ruin: "You know exactly what I mean."

Solar: "Ruin, I swear to god if you..."

It was too late before Solar could even finish the sentence I threw myself backwards over the desk in a dramatic way with the back of my hand across my forehead in like a fainted manor then begged

Ruin: "Why must your words hurt me so~"

Solar: "Ruin..."

Ruin: "They wound me like a soldier shot in battle~"

Solar: "Ruin."

Ruin: "I just wish to go out and enjoy thy day with you~"

Solar: "Ruin."

Ruin: "But atlas, you have to be so cruel. You keep me locked away in a tower holding me hostage like some wicked witch. Why must you do this... why must you treat me so~"

Solar: *says under breath* "Goddamnit"

Ruin: "I just wanted to spend thy day with you but atlas you refuse and hurt me so~"

Solar: "Ruin!"

Ruin: "Oh the pain. Oh the humanity. Why must you be so cruel dear Solar? Why? Why!~"

Solar: "Fine! I'll go out with you! Just stop! You overdramatic drama king!"

Ruin: *chuckles and stops* "Always works~"

Solar: "Fuck you."

Ruin: "Love you too Darling~"

Solar: "It only works because it annoys the hell out of me."

Ruin: "Oh I know, that's why I do it."

Solar: "Manipulative son of a bitch"

Ruin: "You know I am~"

Solar: "Yeah, yeah. Let's just go."

Ruin: "Alright."

With that the 2 of us head out of the Daycare then out of the Pizzaplex. On our way out Ruin looks back at me then holds out his hand. I knew what he wanted so even though I was annoyed I just rolled my eyes and took it making him give a troublesome smile then rest his head on my shoulder for a split little second.

Solar: "I really hate you sometimes."

Once I said that he picked up his head again but we continued walking hand in hand.

Ruin: "Oh, I know. You make that quite obvious."

Solar: "Whatever"

Ruin: "Yet I know even though you say it you don't actually mean it."

Solar: ....

Ruin: "You love me."

Solar: *says in annoyed way* "I do, even if I don't want to admit it"

Ruin: *chuckles*

Solar: "Anyway, now that you got my ass outside where do you want to go?"

Ruin: "I was thinking the park like I said at the desk in the daycare."

Solar: "Fine..."

Ruin: "It's just a simple walk through it then we can go back home. Unless you change your mind."

Solar: "Sure."

Ruin: "You really aren't in the mood are you."

Solar: "Never was, never will be."

Ruin: "Uh... heh heh."

Solar: "You pulled me away from my work of course I'd not be in the mood."

Ruin: "Stop being so pissy and stuck up. Lighten up, enjoy the change of scenery. It's not fun when you're like this Darling."

Solar: "Well no shit. That's the point."

Ruin: ....

We go silent for a little while until we reached the park and started strolling through it. However I then decided to change the mood and try change his mood again.

Ruin: "See, I told you it was nice out."

Solar: "I rather be working on what I was working on in the daycare."

Ruin: "Solar, it's not good for you to stay cooped up and working all the time. You need breaks every now and then."

Solar: "No I don't."

Ruin: "Just try to enjoy it. You're out with me. We needed this."

Solar: .....

When he went silent that was my hint that he was just over it and really not in the mood. So I should just stop pushing him to cheer up because that will probably only lead to pissing him off further then possibly erupting into a small fight between us.

So we just stayed silent and continued walking through the park for a little while longer until we came across a nice tree by a small lake.

We then laid under the tree in the grass next to each other staring up at the leaves gently blowing in the breeze, the smell of fresh spring flowers in bloom filling the air.

While we laid like that I caught the smallest barely noticeable little smile creep across Solar's face before it fell back to how it was before. Yet because I just saw that I knew Solar was finally starting to change his mood around a little making me smirk a little.

Ruin: "I saw that Solar Dear."

Solar: "No you didn't."

Ruin: "Stop lying Dear. You enjoy being out with me."

Solar: "I... shut up."

Ruin: "Heh, I knew it."

Solar: "Shut up."

Ruin: "Fine, but I'll still say it again, it is nice out isn't it. You can't deny that."

Solar: "Fine, maybe it is"

Ruin: "Told you. It's good to get away from work and the computer for a little while. To step away and take a break for a bit."

Solar: "I suppose."

Ruin: "You're always so glued to that screen if you aren't running concession in the theater."

Solar: "I know, but that's just the way I am."

Ruin: "I know, you always have to be doing something. You can never just relax for a bit."

Solar: .....

Ruin: "Either way, enough if that, I kinda figured you'd like it once I finally got you pulled away. Plus like I said prior we did need this."

Solar: "Ya know what, yeah... we did."

Ruin: "Finally, you agree with me."

Solar: "Yeah, yeah whatever."

Ruin: "I'm just happy I got you to agree."

Solar: "Yeah. Anyway, changing the topic, I don't know how much you like these or if you even do. Plus this is also kinda embarrassing on my part as well considering I'm not the type to do this but... while you were busy ranting and trying to change my mood... I may or may not have changed my mood on my own earlier and let go of your hand for a minute because I saw some of these."

As soon as he said that he got up and turned to the side only to pick up a small bouquet of colorful wild flowers that naturally grow around here. So I got up too.

Solar: *blushes while saying* "Again, I don't know if you even like flowers but I saw these and had to pick them. If you don't like them that's ok too, you don't have to take them. I won't be offended if that's the case. I know it was corny."

Ruin: "A-Aw... Solar..."

I take them from him either way. I'll be honest I've never been the type to get flowers from someone but I don't hate it. Plus they were really pretty.

Solar: "So you do like them?"

Ruin: "I'll be honest, I've never been the type to get flowers from someone but I don't hate it. They're absolutely stunning. Any flowers are, whether they're freshly picked or bought. So I do appreciate it much so Darling."

Solar: "Then get use to it. I might end up getting flowers for you as a small gift here and there from now on. That is if you want me to."

Ruin: "I... I-I'd like that."

Solar: "Then next performance you do for kids..."

He then wraps his arms around my waist holds me close. Only to continue on what he was saying.

Solar: "...Expect to get a little something from me afterwords, that is if I don't toss them up on stage immediately after performance instead~"

Ruin: "Oh you~" *chuckles all giddy and blushing*

After that he kisses me and I immediately latch on and return it then pull away.

Solar: "Love you~"

Ruin: "Love you too Darling~"

We then pull away from the hug and sat back down under the tree together talking about different things.

Ruin: "If you don't mind me asking, how did you even get these without me even noticing or seeing them?"

Solar: "It was when you were distracted. As for keeping them hidden from you, I honestly don't know."

Ruin: "Fair enough. Thank you darling, I love them."

Solar: "You're welcome"

With that we continued enjoying the warm spring day together.

~ Solar's POV ~

We were enjoying the spring day together for a few more hours not realizing what's going on around us. We were only snapped out of it when I felt small droplets suddenly start to fall on me. When I looked up clouds had rolled in and it was being to rain.

Solar: "Hun?"

Ruin: "Hm?"

Solar: "We should probably start to head back. It's beginning to rain."

Ruin: "Oh, I noticed. I just didn't say anything because it's not bothering me."

Solar: "Wow, and here I thought you as a theatre kid would immediately realize and ask to leave because you don't want it to destroy your look."

Ruin: "Excuse you! I may be into theatre and be a drama king but I'm not that overdramatic! Who do you think I am... Roxanne?!"

Solar: *holding back laughter* "Maybe~"

Ruin: "Oh shut up, I don't give shit on how I look!"

Solar: *still holding back from laughing*

Ruin: "Well... aside from when I'm about to perform. That is... well... different. You know this about me!"

Solar: *breaks and finally laughs*

Ruin: "What!?"

Solar: "Nothing, I was just teasing you. I know you're not that over the top to the point you're like that."

Ruin: "Oh whatever."

Solar: "However, even if you don't mind it, I want to go. I rather get out of the rain before it starts falling harder."

Ruin: "Fair enough Darling. We can leave."

Solar: "Though before we head back to the Pizzaplex, can we stop by a coffee shop."

Ruin: "Ya know, I wouldn't be so apposed to that. That does sounds pretty nice."

Solar: "Then let's go."

Ruin: "After you Darling. I don't necessarily know where the coffee shop is really considering I never drink it."

Solar: "Alright."

With that I started heading in the direction Ruin following behind me. As we were walking I did give a small smirk and take his hand unexpectedly but he ends up holding mine back anyway.

When we were at the coffee shop I ordered a plain black coffee while Ruin got a tea. Once we were called for the order I grab both of our drinks and leave a pretty good tip. We then sat and chatted for a bit while we sipped our drinks.

Once we were done with our drinks and we're about to leave it had started to rain harder.

Solar: "Oh, fun. Walking home in the rain. I knew we should've left the park sooner than we did."

Ruin: "That was on me. Apologies Solar."

Solar: "No, it's fine. I had fun with you. Plus what's a little rain going to do."

Ruin: "You are waterproof right?"

Solar: "Yes. We all are. I mean I feel like it's basically a necessity even more so than the Glamrocks when you're a literal daycare attendant model to in fact be waterproof. Little kids spill. A lot."

Ruin: "Fair point. I just didn't know with how your original dimension's Moon made your... pardon my language... shitty body."

Solar: "Understandable. But yeah, even though my body is shit and basically a hunk of junk and scrap metal it's still waterproof."

Ruin: "Good to know."

Solar: "Yeah."

With that we left the coffee shop and started walking back to the Pizzaplex in the rain.

Ruin: "You know I'll keep saying it and annoying you with this until I get a proper answer but... I could make you a new body."

Solar: "I know, I can also make myself a new body if I so wish. However that's not my priority right now."

Ruin: "Solar..."

Solar: "It's fine. My body may be literal junk but it does me good."

Ruin: "But..."

Solar: "I've told you once and I'll keep saying it, I'll take up your offer of making me a new body when this one starts to fail me. Starts putting me in more pain than it already is but doesn't go away. In the meantime I'm fine with what I have."

Ruin: "Fine."

With that we drop the topic and start talking about different things. Yet because we were blinded by just chatting with each other we reach the Pizzaplex quicker than we initially thought we would. So with that we enter the building.

In fact upon entering the front doors of the Pizzaplex Ruin and I were now practically drenched completely. So we helped dry each other off then went our separate ways.

Once that was done it was still rather early in the day, only about to hit around 4pm. So I walk Ruin to the theater, told him I'll see him tonight, then headed back down to the Daycare to start working again.

However just as I was about to head to the computer to do said work I was met with Moon while I walked through the giant wooden doors.

Moon: "Damnit! There you are! I was looking for you everywhere! I need your help with something."

Solar: "Sorry. I was just out."

Moon: "I can tell. You're soaked and wrapped in a towel. Where have you been?"

Solar: "I just told you, I was out. I had to help Ruin with something then had to run down to the store to get some more parts I was running low on. However on my way back it started raining."

Moon: "Sure you were."

Solar: "I was."

Moon: "Then where are they?"

Solar: "I put them up in my room. You know I store extra stuff up there."

Moon: "Fair point."

Solar: "Exactly."

With that I headed over to the computer to start whatever Moon needed my help with.

Moon: "However, I have been meaning to bring this up."

Solar: "What?"

Moon: "You and Ruin have been getting really close as of the past three months."

Solar: *gets minorly defensive of his boyfriend but tries to say something that won't give it away* "So what? Am I not allowed to help him when he needs it? You know I help everyone. Or worry about him as a friend since Eclipse kidnapped him then just recently threatened and almost killed him?"

Moon: "Solar! I'm not saying any of that, I'm just curious is all. *laughs a bit while saying*... It's like you two have become a thing."

Solar: *blushes but immediately shoves it down as to not be caught* "Listen, I was again just helping Ruin with something. Then had to go out and get some extra parts from the store and was caught in the rain on the way back to the Pizzaplex. Nothing else."

Moon: "Alright, alright. Sorry I assumed anything else."

Solar: "Thank you."

Moon: "Can you finish this one thing for me now? I did the majority of it I just need you to finish this one thing that I couldn't figure out."

Solar: "Sure."

Moon: "Thank you. You're a life saver Solar."

Solar: "Don't mention it."

After that Moon left the daycare and I shut my eyes and take a deep breath then let it out in relief.

Once I did that I then said aloud but in a whisper "That was way too close. Way too close for my liking and comfort. Thank god he bought the lie. I can't have anyone aside from Luna who already knows find out about Ruin and I just yet. We aren't ready to come out and make it public. Plus who knows how others will react especially when the majority of them don't trust my boyfriend in general."

With that I then immediately started work on the thing Moon told me to work on directly after. However that's when I heard Ruin speak up

Ruin: "He only believed you because you're believable."

Hearing that immediately made me jump especially when I also suddenly felt a hand touch my shoulder.

Ruin: "Apologies."

Solar: "Ruin! Oh my god!"

Ruin: "Again, my apologies darling I didn't mean to startle you."

Solar: "No, you're fine" *lets another sigh out in trying to calm the simulated rapid heartbeat from the scare*

Ruin: "You sure?"

Solar: "Yeah. How did you hear that anyway?"

Ruin: "I was already on my way in when I overheard you say that."

Solar: "Fair enough."

Ruin: "It is true though. Unlike the other Eclipse you are actually good at making up rouses and lies."

Solar: "Well, I guess it's just because of my serious as well as believable and trustworthy personality."

Ruin: "True. Charming Too~"

Solar: *softly blushes* "Oh shut up. You only said that because you're my boyfriend."

Ruin: "Mm... perhaps. Or perhaps it's because you genuinely are charming and don't realize it."

Solar: "I'm not. I'm really not."

Ruin: "Hogwash! You are charming. So dastardly charming."

Solar: "Sure."

Ruin: "But Solar you are, so take thy compliment."

Solar: "Fine. Even if I don't believe it."

Ruin: "Thank you."

Solar: "Whatever."

When I said that I suddenly felt him kiss my cheek making me give a soft hum with a little smile.

Solar: "Anyway, you came in here for a reason so what do you need hun?"

Ruin: "Am I not allowed to just be here and watch my hardworking boyfriend work?"

Solar: "No, you are. I just know that's not the reason you're here."

Ruin: "Fine, it's because I was just wondering if I could help you with anything. To at least make your work easier and quicker so we can go up and snuggle. I don't want to be alone to be honest."

Solar: "Fair enough. I don't blame you. You've been kidnapped and threatened by Eclipse even if that was a good while ago. I wouldn't want to be alone if it were me either."

Ruin: "Well, it's not exactly because of that. It's because I just want to be with you."

Solar: "Clingy boyfriend."

Ruin: "Pardon you!"

Solar: "Sorry, I'm again just teasing. I know you aren't clingy. At least not incredibly clingy."

Ruin: ....

Solar: "Anyway, you wanted to know if you can help with anything?"

Ruin: "Yes."

Solar: "Ya know what, sure. You can help me look over what I'm working on. Make sure the work Moon and I did isn't either wrong, needing something, or missing anything importantl. I know you have a technical incredibly smart brain like Moon and I"

Ruin: "I'd personally say I'm even smarter than you and Moon."

Solar: "Ya know, I won't deny that. So go for it."

Ruin: "Alright."

We then start working on the thing Moon gave me to finish together. Because it had the both of us working on it together it went much faster than it initially was going to go with just me.

Once we finished, Ruin and I then had the rest of the night to do whatever the hell we wanted with each other. However we just both ended up going to bed together directly after because we were both pretty exhausted for some reason.

And I'm ending it there. In fact this is the end of this oneshot and I will be moving on to the next one. However I will say, this is one of my favorite things I've written with Solar and Ruin so far well specifically how Ruin got Solar out of the Pizzaplex with him. I had so much fun writing that plus it was frickin hilarious to me. Mainly because I can totally see Ruin doing something like that. Ruin being an overdramatic drama king just because Solar wouldn't simply go out on a date with him. So he decides to annoy the absolute living fuck out of him with his theater act just to get Solar to go out with him. In fact, you might see more of that in future oneshots if I can think of reasons for Ruin to do that. Other than that this oneshot was approximately 4040 words in all by the end of it so until next time...
