Waking up to Hermione shaking him wasn't the best way to wake up, but it wasn't the worst either. "Harry, the train is almost at Hogwarts. Me and Ron are going to head to the carriages. Ginny is trying to convince Ron that her new boyfriend is alright, and I want to make sure Ron doesn't murder him."
"Alrigh. I'm up." Harry spoke sluggishly.
Hermione smiled before she grabbed her stuff. "Good. See you at the eighth year table Harry."
Slowly he got up, and stretched. Looking outside, it seemed they were rather close. Harry figured he better get changed. Harry thought he caught a glimpse of a bunch of blond hair before he closed the curtains.
When Harry had gotten out, and grabbed his stuff, there was a small group of people left waiting for carriages. Two of the girls were shooting the thestrals looks of fear before getting in. It made sense that more people could see them now. It was a sad fact, but a true one. The Thestrals weren't so terrifying to Harry anymore. They looked like they belonged in front of those carriages. The one with the large group of people moved away, and that left one carriage.
Moving towards it, Harry noticed that there was another person inside. Once he stepped in Harry saw that bright blond hair again.
"Hello Potter."
"Hello Malfoy," Harry quietly responds. For a bit Harry trifles over what he could say. Are they friends now? Is the weather a good conversation starter? In some languages they have multiple ways to insult rain, which he'd learned from a Dutch wizard he'd met in summer. "How was your summer?" Harry finally asked.
Draco seemed to smile at the thought. "It was good. I went to live with French muggles, and I learned a lot. How was your summer?"
That little fact that Draco went to go live with muggles had completely slipped Harry's mind. He nearly forgot to answer. "It was alright. I went to a couple trials, and I helped to rebuild Hogwarts. What was it like with the muggles?"
Draco snorted. "It started out a bit of a mess actually. They told Hugo and Aimee that I had a nasty concussion that made me forget a lot. For a while they treated me like a child. They taught me how to use everything," he smiled. "I'm now obsessed with coffee, and I'm going to have to go without for the rest of the school year."
Smiling, Harry agreed, "coffee is a miraculous thing."
"Speaking of miraculous things, this summer has treated you well. You look like a muggle Greek god."
Trying not to blush, Harry asked, "how do you know about that?"
"Aimee taught me a lot of Greek myths that I didn't know about, and she taught me how to appreciate masterpieces." At this he winked at Harry. "I've also been trying to get rid of the things my father forced into my head, and to open up more. I hope you'll come to see that."
That was when the carriage stopped. "I'm hungry, aren't you?" Draco said before getting out.
Harry was confused as to what just happened.
