Sins Crawling in The Timeline

*You tell Sans that you're sorry for everything, but you tell him that you shouldn't be forgiven.

*You tell Sans that you lost control of yourself to a demon who wasn't Chara. Chara encouraged you to fight, but Chara was the one who reminded you of your promise to yourself after fighting Undyne for the last time in your third genocide run.

*You tell Sans that he should go ahead and end you right where you stood.

... *but he refused.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was the last fight between them and Undyne the Undying. How many times did they die? How many times did they get angry where they wanted to just spare Monster Kid then kill Undyne at the mountain that leads to Hotland? How many times did they want to die and give up? Too many to count. Undyne is a worthy enemy when you're on a killing spree, one that gets people ready for the big picture, the final fight, the final monster in your way- Sans. Sans the Skeleton.
A smiling skeleton(duh) who comes to about four feet and five inches, his age is around mid thirties(this could be true, but could also be wrong), his birthday is unknown to anyone outside the underground and has yet to be revealed, there is no weight, but judging by his species, he could be 140 pounds, and that's with the probability of him carrying ketchup on his person along with his clothes, that jacket is a bit heavy to a child, but without everything on him, his weight could come up to be about 112.5 pounds, could be a bit less due to his height.
The average weight of a male skeleton is 27.5 pounds(12.5 kg), female skeletons is 23 pounds(10.6 kg).
He has many friends in the underground, from Alphys, the royal scientist, to Grillby, the restaurant owner of Grillby's, he's even friends with the old goat monster in the Ruins, Toriel, the queen of the underground, the ex-wife of Asgore, the mom-ster as Asriel who died at a young age with his best friend whom is his adopted sibling, Chara. He has a brother named Papyrus who hopes and dreams to become a famous royal guardsman and makes spaghetti.
But we aren't talking about them. We are focusing on Sans at the moment. Sans knows what happens in each timeline, or at least, in each timeline that didn't go through a TRUE RESET. Sans knows about all the killings that we, the human, have done. Sans is the judge who judges your every EXP gained and your LOVE. Sans will not fight unless necessary, and most importantly, he will not fight unless you harm his brother.
This was Sans. A lazy, pun loving, skeleton, but we are watching the human known as Frisk who is under control of Chara. Frisk AKA Chara was fighting Undyne as I said before. This was the last attempt to fight her. Frisk was blocking the arrows that came their way, they didn't want to fight anymore, Chara knew that Frisk wasn't able to do this. Chara knew that Frisk was way too merciful for their own good. "We almost have her, you need to heal one last time Frisk!" Chara told them, basically screaming at them to heal, but Frisk.. Frisk truly did not want to kill Undyne. "Chara, I'll heal, but we still have nineteen HP. Remember, we can survive on that much. Unless, we truly haven't been able to properly armor ourselves," Frisk told them. Chara didn't say anything, Frisk attacked Undyne, her health being almost depleted all it took was one last hit for her to go down.
But the arrows were coming in a random order, taking out the last bits of their health, leaving them with three HP, there was one arrow left that was coming to the front along with a backup yellow arrow that too comes goes to the front, however, Frisk knew that they couldn't do this forever. Frisk threw the spear to the side and took the last arrows causing their soul to stop and break into pieces. Frisk ended up going back to the load and reset void like area. "You fool! You should have kept going!" A unfamiliar voice called out in the back of Frisk's head, but Frisk said, "No, I said that was the last try. I am true to my word."
"Do what you must, Frisk. I'm with you every step of the way," Chara's voice called out, fading to nothing as Frisk pressed the reset button. Frisk walked through the hall of where they first begin and met with Flowey. "What are you doing Chara? Well, I'll see you soon," he simply said, smiling evilly before going underground and not too long, Toriel came along and led them through the catacombs. "That was strange, ya know," Frisk thought to themself, or to be more exact, to Chara. "Indeed. I do not know who had spoken to us, and that their voice was unfamiliar. They weren't even apart of my past or any of the past timelines. It wasn't even the lost skeleton," Chara told Frisk honestly. Frisk was worried, but they stayed determined.
"Up until now, that voice hadn't said a word. Do you think it was because of the three failed attempts at genocide?" Frisk asked Chara, not paying attention to Toriel guide them to do the puzzle before leading them to the next room to pull two levers. "I doubt it. Only I can talk to you like this, Asriel AKA Flowey and Sans are the only ones who remember the genocide route, everyone can recall it so vaguely," Chara told Frisk as Frisk pulled the levers and followed Toriel to the next room, the room with the training dummy. Frisk talked to the dummy by asking how it's day was, and as always, there was no response, but Toriel was pleased. "Frisk, if we see Flowey again, we need to tell him that no one is going to die anymore and that this is our last time resetting into the underground and reliving everything. I know I'm normally the one who pushes you to kill everyone, but judging how strong you are by breaking free and returning most of my compassion to care for everyone, it's time that we put a stop to this. Please, save Asriel, return him back to mom and dad. I'll be fine down here," Chara told them as Frisk held Toriel's hand, walking through the spikes.
"No! I will not leave you down here too. I failed Asriel too many times, I've tried everything to be there for him. I will not leave you two behind. If it takes my life to save both of yours, so be it," Frisk thought, determination filling them which led to-
*Feeling the need and want to save both Asriel and Chara fills you with DETERMINATION. HP fully restored and save file saved! - Pillar Room
"Frisk! Did you just SAVE without a star?!" Chara asked Frisk, which made Frisk look around and saw no star whatsoever. "I think I did, but I wouldn't trust this. Normally it's you who reads this out loud. I will be sure that we save at the save points. And if these points work out for the both of us, then we might be closer to save you guys," Frisk told them before walking to the leaf pile room and saving at the star. Just like every timeline except three of them, Frisk spared everyone, up till Toriel's place. "We're home," Frisk told Chara before being greeted by Toriel who checked them for any wounds and there was none thanks to Frisk and Chara becoming quicker at dodging at everyone's attack.
Frisk saved and entered Toriel's house and followed Toriel to their bedroom. Frisk laid in bed and drifted to sleep, there, in the darkness, they met someone with dark brown hair, a green sweater with a single yellow stripe. They were slightly darker than Chara, but a bit lighter than Frisk, and they were taller than the two put together. "Who are you?" Frisk asked to the unknown person, but they only stared at Frisk. "Frisk! Get away from them!" Chara's voice called out which made Frisk turn to see where they were, but as soon they looked away from the person, they heard a sword being drawn with a tinkle coming from it. Frisk looked back at them and they were blue. "No!" Frisk cried out as their soul was hit once it came out to stand in battle. Frisk tried to talk to them, but nothing happened. The human with the sword hit them once more, taking out most of their HP.
Frisk was left with three HP. "Frisk!" Frisk looked at the person who reached to take their soul. When they grabbed their soul they held it in their hands before throwing it into a cage that ended up getting absorbed into darkness. Frisk cried out in pain, only to wake up in bed. Frisk was breathing heavily. "What was that?" Frisk asked Chara who replied with, "I don't know who that was, but look at our HP." Frisk brought up their menu to see their HP and saw it, their HP didn't know how to make sense of what just happened. Their HP was in question marks, glitching out. "Quick, get to the save point and save!" Frisk got out of bed, grabbing the pie that's on the floor and pocketing it into the pocket void before rushing outside to the star that was no longer yellow, but was white. Frisk pressed it and regained their HP. "You're back at 20 HP. Thank goodness. Frisk, I don't think it's wise to go back to sleep any time soon. We're going have to skip the inn when we get to Snowdin. I'm pretty sure we don't want to bump into that weird person again," Chara told them as Frisk nodded.
Frisk went to Toriel and told her that they wanted to go home. Toriel ran downstairs and Frisk followed. After sparing Toriel, Toriel hugged Frisk before running off. Frisk watched her with sad eyes before facing the doors and leaving the Ruins and entering Snowdin. Frisk walked and heard Sans behind them. After just pushing forward. When Sans came up behind them, Frisk turned around and held out their hand. Sans took it and the whoope cushion farted making Frisk snicker. Snowdin went smoothly as you expect it.
Waterfall, of course, Frisk died at least once by Undyne. Hotland.. Mettaton!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After about two hours into this, Frisk and Chara made it to judgement hall, there, Sans is waiting. Frisk saved before walking forward and something happened right where Sans is to start talking,

*The warm glow shining into the hall not only fills you with warmth, but with more determination than it ever has. You are determined to save the monsters trapped underground, you are determined to save Asriel and Chara, you are determined to not meet that blue human again, you are determined to tell Sans everything you know. You are determined to set things right. Though, Sans might kill you for everything you've done, you can't help but feel acceptance for your fate. Maybe, with little power you have, you might be able to split your SOUL into three, for you, Chara, and Asriel. Maybe if you tell Sans or Alphys your plan, they MIGHT help you. All of this, fills you with DETERMINATION. HP fully restored and save file saved.

"So... here we are," Sans said, looking outside, not facing Frisk. "Listen kiddo, I'm not sure if you know this or if it was all a dream, but something tells me you know more than you let on. So, kiddo, let's CHAT."

Frisk got grabbed by the hand and was teleported to the True Lab with Sans. "Tell me EVERYTHING. You know what happened to Papyrus, don't you? You know everything there is to know! Tell me WHAT YOU KNOW. And if I am correct, your name is Frisk, right? So, TELL ME!" Sans shouted, Frisk's soul turning blue as Frisk was placed over the hole that is under the DT extraction, the same hole that leads right to the Void where Gaster is located. Frisk looked at Chara who is trying to stop Sans, but nothing happened. Frisk swallowed the lump in their throat and spoke out,

"*You tell Sans that you're sorry for everything, but you tell him that you shouldn't be forgiven.

*You tell Sans that you lost control of yourself to a demon who wasn't Chara. Chara encouraged you to fight, but Chara was the one who reminded you of your promise to yourself after fighting Undyne for the last time.

*You tell Sans that he should go ahead and end you right where you stood."

"What? Kid, you.. tell me everything about this demon," Sans requested as Frisk looked at Sans, shocked. "*but he refused." Sans placed Frisk back on the tiled floor. "Chara and I encounter a human, who looked like any human, with Chara's sweater which is green with a yellow stripe, my dark hair and skin tone, but they seemed to be older than both of us. Sans, they nearly killed me. They nearly killed my SOUL. When I woke up, my HP was going crazy, all the save points had turned white. Lately, I've been saving at random points and areas that I'm not suppose to be saving in. I've been scared to go back to sleep. I don't want to go back to sleep. I'm scared," Frisk told him, holding their arm.

"Kid, why?" Sans asked, looking at Frisk with concern. "I was curious and I wanted to find a way to save EVERYONE. Everyone underground deserves to go up above. And that also goes for the ones who are lost! You know who I mean, I mean Gaster! I want to save Asriel and give him life! I want to help Chara! Chara has learned better and that there are only certain people who are to blame and not a whole race! Sans.. I want to save EVERYONE. Even if it means giving up my own soul to save Chara," Frisk explained to Sans, looking down as Chara floated over the void, facing the two from the side. "Though, I personally think Frisk is a bit insane about sacrificing themself. Frisk has done so much to try to figure out a better ending," Chara said, knowing Sans couldn't hear them. Frisk looked at Chara before saying what Chara said.

"Listen kid, no one is insane with wanting to sacrifice themselves for someone who is long dead or doesn't want to be saved. They grow attached to people, I personally know the feeling. And "done so much"? Just for a better ending? Kid, that's a lot of work, but care to elaborate on that?" Sans asked, looking at Frisk who looked at Sans with guilt in their eyes.

"I've been in the same places over a hundred times, and thankfully, I'm able to count the number of times I've reset. I did a true reset the first three times, no one remembers except me and Chara, I tried to do genocide on the fourth, but failed at Undyne. I died to her about eighteen times before I gave up and did a true reset, it wasn't easy. Fifth time going through, I killed no one and got a strange call from Alphys while in Snowdin asking for pizza and tried to text it to me, but my phone didn't have didn't have a text option,"

Frisk paused, taking a breath before continuing, "Sixth time, I tried to fight again, but was stopped by Undyne, I was killed far too many times to remember, until I got an idea. I'd spared MK and went to the mountain to face Undyne. I killed her in one hit, but that's when everything started to change. Chara was upset at the time because I had broken true genocide. I was forced to reset at that time. Seventh time, I saved everyone and I was so close to saving Asriel, but he refused my help and was turned back into a flower after two years of being on the surface. My eighth time, which I had thought to be my last, but it wasn't. I ended up finding Gaster and tried to talk to him, he was scared and disappeared. But he was still there, stuck in the Void,"

Frisk told Sans before looking at the hole where Chara was floating over. "I finished by freeing the monsters, but I knew I could still help. Chara begged me to stop and I was shocked to see that they had told me to stop trying because it was hurting everyone without them knowing. Chara too was shocked before learning that their soul was rebuilding, feeding off of my determination. It made me think, "What if I reset one more time? I can find a way to save everyone! Chara, I can save you and Asriel! I can save Gaster too!" I reset for the ninth time which lead to three more resets and something just took over that was Chara. We both thought it was one another and didn't say anything, until I reset for the thirteenth time and here we are. A strange blue human upset with me and Chara."

"So thirteen times? And you never once asked for help?" Sans asked making Frisk look at him before asking, "And you never once asked for emotional support from anyone, not even me." Chara floated over to Frisk and poked their cheek making Frisk whine before looking at Chara, but Chara wasn't looking at them, they were looking at the far end of the hall, right behind Frisk. Frisk turned around and saw the amalgamates. "I was planning on using determination on Chara's dead body that is buried in the Ruins, but Chara begged me and reminded me of what could happen and what had happened to Asriel. I didn't use it, I was looking for another way, I even thought about going into the DT extraction to strip mine away and give it to Chara and Asriel so they can live, but Chara reminded me of what happened by talking about Gaster. I kept a notebook," Frisk told Sans, pulling out a notebook with three hearts drawn on, a monster soul that has a flower drawn inside the soul, a empty red soul, and a whole red soul.

"This is my journey written down. I wrote every timeline and everything I needed to know. I even wrote about you," Frisk said before handing it to Sans who flipped through it and found the page about him. "You kept notes about me?" Frisk nodded before answering, "I have. I wanted to see what would happened, but I never did. I grew to care about you and everyone so much. In the process, I helped Chara regain their compassion. Now Chara wants to me save everyone. Sans, I know you cannot forgive me, I wouldn't forgive myself either, but could you, maybe, help me save Chara and Asriel?" Frisk asked Sans, now facing him as the amalgamates watched from a distance. Sans looked at the notebook before looking at Frisk and saying, "Only if you promise this is the last time you will ever reset."

Frisk nodded before speaking in a clear voice with Chara speaking with them, "This is the last time that I, Frisk/Chara Dreemurr, will ever reset. I will never reset again. Instead, if possible, I will reload to a certain point now that I have this newfound way of saving and loading. I am determined to save monsters, humans, everyone of all kinds. Sans the Skeleton, I will not let you down. I won't break our promise." Sans held out his hand and Frisk shook it as Chara placed their hand on top of the two hands.

Sans' hand farted making Frisk laugh while Chara groaned. Sans chuckled before teleporting Frisk and Chara back to judgement hall. "Alright kiddo. You have to face Asgore first. I'll keep a hold on your notebook for now and I'll be in my secret lab. You have my key. Go face him while I read up. Once you finished facing him and faced that weed, I'll call you and go through what happens underground before telling you how far I've gone which shouldn't be far, I'll end up losing it all I believe. Unless I keep my memory of the loads too. Anyway, stay safe Frisk, Chara. I'm rooting for you." Sans teleported out. Frisk and Chara walked on, ready to face Asgore and Flowey.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As one excepted, it went according to plan. Sans got far to knowing a salutation to recreating a soul by using the broken machine, so Frisk went back, keeping the salutation in mind while Chara remembered the nerdy parts. Chara won't admit it, but they really like science. Frisk ran all the way to Riverperson and took a ride to Snowdin, Riverperson said something... interesting. "Tra la la.. determination always finds a way to save those in need. Never give up, young human child."
Frisk made it to Snowdin and just dashed to Sans and Papyrus' house and stopped. Frisk opened dimensional box B since A has the bandage, ribbon, manly bandanna, torn tutu, cloudy glasses, and stained apron along with the stick that Frisk started with. Frisk has always held onto these no matter the timeline, Frisk always thought it wise to respect the dead and to carry their memory with them. Frisk placed two cinnamon buns away into box B. Frisk went to Undyne and took the letter before going to the back of the house and entering the lab where Sans is, under the cloth covering the old machine. "Sans," Frisk called out making him come out from underneath and look at Frisk. He had gas on his white lab coat. "Heya kiddo. Nice to see you come by. So, I'm pretty sure you fought Asgore and that weed and that I told you of something. Care to tell me?"
Frisk told Sans about the salutation for Chara and Asriel while Chara guided them what to say when it came to compounds, elements, and what could happen. Frisk slightly stuttered which made Chara groan before looking at Sans. "Hold on kiddo, I got something to help the little brat speak. Just pull out your phone," Sans told them. Frisk did as told and Sans took it before tinkering with it to help ghosts speak through it. "I went back to Gaster's old lab and bump into those memoryheads. They aren't any monster I recognize so I guess this should work. You just need them to speak into this receiver," Sans told Frisk before showing a old walkie talkie. Sans placed it down and waited for a voice to come through. Frisk looked at Chara who went to the walkie and spoke through and whispered to it.
Chara's voice came through. "Testing, testing. One, two, three. The short skeleton is annoying." Frisk made a face while Sans had the same expression, but his eyes said it all. "Alright, so it works, big deal. Doesn't help me and Asriel with our bodies. Care to tell us more?" Sans nodded before asking, "Kiddo, I need that heart shaped locket you have. That was Chara's, correct? Now, this machine was suppose to travel back in time, but time travel isn't possible yet. So I changed the machine to be a resurrection chamber for those who have recently died and those who are long dead. Collect their soul or body, their treasured item, and a bit of determination to keep living. Frisk, kiddo, if things go south, I want you to stay strong and not reset, okay?" Frisk nodded.
"Their body is in the Ruins, right?"
"I'm right here, you could have just asked me! But yes, my body is in the Ruins, right where Frisk fell down. You're taking Frisk and I with you and there is nothing you can do to stop us," Chara told Sans who sighed before taking the talkie while Frisk took the phone. Sans held Frisk by their hand since Frisk is shorter and is a child. Chara placed a hand on Frisk's shoulder as they teleported to the Ruins. They were at the beginning of the Ruins where Chara's body is. Sans let go of Frisk and went to the bed of flowers and reached underground, pulling out a dead body. "Seems a bit fresh," Frisk noted as Chara spoke into the talkie, "I only died ten years ago. People like to think it was longer, but it's only longer because of all the resets Flowey did... plus, Toriel didn't want me to rot and decay."
Sans walked over to Frisk, held their hand while holding Chara's dead body with the other. Chara held onto Frisk and they were teleported back to Sans' lab.
- 6/28/2020 6:47 PM -
Sans and Frisk made it back to Sans' lab where he laid Chara's body. Frisk placed Chara's locket around Chara's next. "Alright kiddo, let's hope this works the way it should," Sans said as he started to turn the machine on. Frisk stayed back with Chara's ghost lingering over them. "Comedian-- er, I mean, Sans, I know I cannot take back what happened in the past timelines, what happened when I killed everyone. True, Frisk never finished genocide, but that doesn't mean that there aren't other timelines where we didn't. I know I cannot erase my past nor can Frisk, but.. please know that I will not reset and I'll make sure Frisk doesn't reset either," Chara said as the machine started to glow. "That's strange. That isn't suppose to happen," Sans noted, ignoring Chara which ticked them off.
"Sans, what do we do if it does this?" Frisk asked, sweat dropping from their forehead. Sans looked at Frisk before looking at the machine. "Close your eyes, kiddo," Sans said and Frisk glared at Sans since their eyes are closed. Sans' left eye started to glow blue and yellow as bones appeared from the ground to block anything that came their way. Thankfully, nothing blew up and nothing hit them. Sans lowered the bones down once the bright light stopped and dimmed down to nothing. Sans looked and saw a human on the ground, wheezing. Their brown hair, green shirt with yellow stripe... wait a second,
"It's that human who was in your dream," Chara whispered to Frisk who swallowed the lump in their throat before taking two steps forward to the human. The human groaned before sitting up on their knees. The two ended up looking at each other.
*You looked down at the new human. The same human who haunted your dreams while you were in the Ruins.
*You looked up at the human child. The same human who you met in a dream along side another child who you saw when you were a kid.
*You both get the feeling of something not being right, but you both stay DETERMINED. Save file SAVED, your HP was fully restored.
Neither of the two humans uttered a single word, they just stared at each other. "Kid? You alright there?" Sans asked. Frisk held out a hand for the new human who took it and stood up, standing a bit taller than Frisk. The two of them didn't say anything, but both of their emotionless expressions turned into a small smile. "Frisk!" Chara called out through the receiver making both humans look at Chara.
*It's the human from your dreams long ago, but... they're a ghost. You tell the ghost-human child that Frisk and you are having a nice conversation.
"Oh great, we have two who don't speak using their voice," Chara noted as Sans asked, "What's your name kid?" The unnamed child looked at Sans and seemed a little angry with the short skeleton wearing the blue hoodie. "Their name is Kris. They told me that they had just returned from school on the surface with their friend Susie whom is a monster," Frisk told the two. "Wait, on the surface? Frisk from your timeline freed the monsters as well?" Sans asked making Kris look at Frisk who answered, "In their timeline, I do not exist and Chara does not exist. Their timeline is like this one, only monsters won the war, humans died with only so little remaining. Asriel is alive in their timeline." Chara flew up to Kris and asked, "How do we know if they aren't lying to us?"
*You tell the ghost- Chara- that you are not lying. You have no reason for lying. Especially when you are confused on why you're here.
Frisk stepped between Chara and Kris. "So do you remember everything up until now?" Sans asked making Kris nod before leaning on the wall as they told their tale. The tale of how they entered a strange world called the Dark World up to leaving the school and a bright white light flooding their senses. They had just finished talking with their mother, Toriel, too before heading off to head home. "How is mom?" Chara asked Kris who looked at them and smiled.
*Toriel became a teacher, happy with their job, proud of her son Asriel for going to college, and them finally making a friend... however, they were not pleased with Asgore. They had gotten a divorce five, six, years ago. You miss when they were together. They were so happy together.. you don't know what caused them to separate.
"Alright, enough chatting. Kid, do you know how to get back home?" Kris shook their head a no. "It might be awhile until we can learn how to send you back," Frisk told Kris who looked at them and smiled. Though.. Frisk was still unsettled. Unsettled with the fact that this human could attack them and they wouldn't be able to stop them. "Alright, time to test this out," Sans said as he picked up Chara's dead body and placed it into the machine, putting some determanation into the fuel compartment. Frisk looked at Chara and saw their soul, empty. a void. Not a single thing. Only a vessel. "Chara, please enter the machine," Sans said and Chara looked skeptical before entering. Sans closed the door, only thing that will show what will happen is a small circular window. Sans turned on the machine and it started to glow.
Both Frisk and Kris stepped back with Sans as the machine started to work it's magic. The machine stopped and the glowing died down to the normal lighting. The door opened with some smoke, out stepped a brown boot with black pants. A human came into the light, looking fresh with light. Their soul was full of determination. Natural determination. The DT put into the machine was used to power it up, and some was put into the soul, but the rest came from Chara's determined mindset of coming back to be with their family and friends. "Chara!" Frisk called out before running to them and hugging them, smiling. Chara smiled before hugging Frisk right back too. "All we need know is Gaster and Flowey. However, we're going to need Flowey as his Asriel self to get him as-riel he can be," Sans said making Frisk laugh while Chara and Kris groaned.
"Frisk, I need you to find Gaster and tell him that's he's coming back home. Once that's done, I'm going to need you and Chara to face Asgore one last time. Kris, you're staying here with me to help Gaster. Understood?" Sans asked as Kris nodded. Though he may not know everything here underground, but there is one thing he knows. He knows he can help in any way possible. It's the least he can do, even if they don't know him and he doesn't know them. Frisk and Chara looked at each other before nodding. Frisk pulled out a worn out bandage and placed it on their face. They replaced the worn dagger with their stick and gave the dagger to Chara. Chara held it before placing it away into their boot before the two finally set off to find Gaster in Waterfall.
Frisk and Chara had lead a Gaster to Sans' lab. Gaster was invisible, only Chara could see him since they too were a ghost and still saw what the human and monster couldn't. Sans pulled out  a small hanky of dust wrapping in it before placing the dust inside the machine. Gaster went into the machine before the door closed in on him. He could be slightly seen, but it was hard to make out his appearance. Sans placed in some magic and Frisk broke a tiny bit of their soul from the tip of the heart before placing it into the machine. The machine started to glow making them cover their eyes before the light faded into nothing. Out stepped a skeleton with cracks in his head. One going down on his left side and the other going up on his right. He had holes in his hand and he was wearing a suit.
Gaster looked at Sans before nodding his head once as a thank you. "Glad to have you back.. dad. I sure mist ya," Sans said making Frisk smile while Chara and Kris stared with blank expression. "I mist you, my son," Gaster replied. "What was the void like?" Chara asked making Gaster look at them and answer, "My memory is kind of foggy of everything up till now, but I'll never forget those years of being without my sons. The void was maddening. I will talk about it another time."
"Dad, I'm going to need you to help me send Kris," Sans started before patting Kris on the head. "back home. I'm sure they want to get back," Sans finished. Gaster looked at Kris and said, "I will help my son get you back home safely." Kris looked at Gaster and seemed to think. Kris spoke up and said, "Thank you, Dr. Gaster. I'd love to go home and be with my family again. I wish I could have known Frisk and Chara a bit more." Gaster smiled and said, "Since the machine was able to transport you here with your memories, body, and soul attached, I don't see why I and my son wouldn't be able to make it to allow you and the two children to visit each other whenever you wish to." Kris smiled before the two skeletons and tall human looked at the small children. "Chara Dreemurr, Frisk, please do all you can to save us all. Sans will join you two soon after helping me, I will remain here with Kris to fix the machine. Stay safe and stay determined," Gaster told the two.
"Don't sweat it kids. Gaster and Kris won't get sucked up by the weed, just as long as neither of them opens the door. See you both soon," Sans said before pushing the two children out.
Chara and Frisk started to run to Hotland by running to Waterfall to the bird who flies them across to the entrance of Hotland. When they got there, they grabbed some water and drank it. Frisk looked at Chara and saw that their HP and LVL was the same as theirs. level one, HP twenty out of twenty. "Frisk? Why are you staring at me? We gotta hurry," Chara told them before grabbing their hand and running towards the lab. Frisk had done the date thing with Alphys and had yet to go to the True Lab. At least... not with Flowey knowing. Thankfully, no monsters saw Chara or even seemed to notice that Chara was there, they saw Frisk and smiled before going about their business.
Frisk and Chara dealt with the power and made it to the capital, Chara hiding behind Frisk, not wanting the scientist to see them just yet. Thankfully, they made it to Asgore and went through with Toriel, Undyne, Alphys, Papyrus, and Sans saying not to fight Asgore. When Flowey grabbed them, he laughed and called Frisk a idiot. "No, YOU'RE the idiot, Flowey," Chara said making Flowey's expression change from smug to confused. Chara stepped out from behind Frisk. "My child?" Toriel asked in a whisper. Asgore gasped softly. "Human?! You cloned yourself too?!" Papyrus asked. "Chara? You're alive? But how?! You were DEAD!" Flowey yelled out before surrounding them with bullets. "I had help from Frisk," Chara said. Flowey's expression changed to an evil one. "It doesn't matter. DIE!" He yelled before hitting the two making them take it until they were at one HP.
It went according to script. Toriel and Asgore's words changed to saying that Chara can do this and that they've missed them so much. Flowey took the souls of every monster and the humans and was finally able to face Asriel. There was times where Frisk dodged quickly and with ease, but that's because they've faced Asriel so many times. Chara dodged Asriel. The two of them kept sparing them, refusing to fight. Asriel nearly absorbed them and they had to save their friends and family. Chara talked to Toriel and Asgore who kept saying their child is dead. Frisk talked to Sans and Papyrus. Chara managed to save their parents, Frisk nearly died, but was able to break through to Papyrus and Sans.
The two faced Undyne and Alphys together which was much better than doing it alone. Chara blocked so many spears while Frisk kept talking to Undyne. Frisk fired at the bombs while Chara pulled them to safety. In the end, they managed to save Asriel. Frisk forgave Asriel and Chara in the end, Chara forgave Frisk and Asriel. Asriel thanked the two for staying strong and forgiving him. "But.. how did you manage to come back?" Asriel asked. "Well, if you come with us, we'll be able to help you too, Azzy." Chara and Frisk held out their hand for Asriel and he smiled. "Asriel, go to Sans' place, in the lab. Gaster will be there.. you still have your dust inside of you. You just need some help. Some determination and Chara's help to make you whole again. Go to Sans' lab," Frisk said before Asriel nodded and walked away.
Frisk and Chara woke up and were hugged by everyone. "My child, you're alive," Toriel sobbed out as she hugged Chara. Chara smiled and hugged their parents. "I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Frisk, my adopted sibling," they said. Asgore and Toriel looked at Frisk and pulled them into the hug. Sans had disappeared which made Papyrus question where he went. Chara and Frisk ran back to Snowdin and found Gaster, Sans, and Asriel in Sans' lab. "Okay prince Dreemurr. Are you ready?" Gaster asked. Asriel nodded before stepping into the machine. Chara pulled a chip of their soul off and put it into the machine while Frisk pulled out the butterscotch cinnamon pie that has Toriel's magic infused with it. "You still have the pie mom gave you?" Chara asked as Frisk nodded. Frisk placed it in as Gaster put in some determination, but not too much as to not melt Asriel.
Monster adults and monster children have certain amounts. Children only have a twelve ounces of determination, and adults have twenty ounces to two liters of determination.
Think of it like this; monster children have baby soda bottles of determination, adult monsters have big boy soda bottles to PARTY SIZE. That's the simplest way to explain it.
Thankfully, Asriel came out as whole and his soul? It's upside down like other monster soul, but the outlining of his soul, the vessel, it's red. Frisk and Chara hugged Asriel. "Thank you.. are you sure I'll be able to stay like this?" Asriel asked the two. Frisk looked at Asriel and said, "I'm sure you'll stay like this. You'll grow up with us. You'll be alive with us." Chara gave him a noogie making him laugh. "We'll make sure of it, Azzy," Chara cheered. Kris had returned home just minutes before Asriel came to the lab. Chara, Asriel, and Frisk walked hand in paw in hand towards the end of the Underground. When they made it to the exit, Toriel and Asgore saw Asriel and gasped before hugging him. Sans was right behind him, smiling. They made it outside, seeing the sun set. It was beautiful and this will not only mark the day Frisk stopped resetting, but this will also mark the day Gaster, Asriel, and Chara were saved. Saved from death, saved from a non-ending loop, a endless empty space, and saved from having to live knowing they're gone.
This may be like any other tale you've heard, it might be the same as a few, but this tale is still it's own tale. Humans and monsters live together in peace, Chara and Asriel are reuinited with their family, Sans and Papyrus have their father back, and Frisk was adopted into the Dreemurr household. Toriel and Asgore are still working things out for the children, but we all agree that they still care for each other. Maybe not as a couple, but as friends. This is the Undertale, the timeline that was crawling with sins that became living. That weird person, Kris, was no threat, but was a friend. No more resets, no one dying. We'll be living as a family.
