Our Dead Mom

A story that came to mind just moments ago about my two children OCs that are based off my true personality and anger issues. Just a fair warning, my personality is not normal, it's strange and unusual. Annnd it's a bit... bipolar?? I don't know, I just know it's not normal for my whole family. And uses the song Dead Mom from the musical from Beetlejuice. Yes- I know I have mentioned Beetlejuice a lot the last update of this and on my conversation wall. Can you blame me? It's an amazing movie! And who can hate Beej? Er... don't answer that my puncakes. Anyway, on with the story!

Mercy and Fight belong to me along with their father, Jefferson, their uncle, Albus, and mother, Avery. Let it be known that I was around ten years old when I made these two. They touched my heart, so I hope you like them? I dunno! Just on with the story!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been two months since our uncle Albus came to visit and how he mentioned we act a lot like our mother, Avery. Our father was fine until he mentioned it, since then, dad has been... distant. We want to help him, but he doesn't want to face us, he keeps himself locked away in his room or in his small office. That's a story, half a year ago he started working from home all because Fight had to fight back from these rude kids who found out about our mother. They said we were never going to be loved, and that made Fight pissed. I'll will admit, I was upset as well, but she stopped me from trying anything, so she took them by surprise by smiling and spoke calmly as she held out her arms which made them more pissed. They went to attack, but when she opened her eyes to show emptiness in them, I knew it was too late for them to go back.
She grabbed one of them by the wrist and twisted it as she used the poor girl as a human shield to block one of the boys' punches. She cried as Fight smiled insanely. She tossed the girl to them before grabbing her bag and using it to knock the wind out of one of the boys who were looking at the girl due to being distracted. The other one went to look, but got punched in the face by Fight. These were her words, "Mess with me and my sister again, do not THINK I won't bring down hell. I am Fight and I will KILL YOU ALL if you try to hurt us with the fact that our own mother is dead!" We were pulled into the office with the girls Fight hurt. Dad was worried, but was mostly disappointed. We had to go home early, but when we got home, he didn't punish Fight or I, instead, he hugged us and asked if we were okay. I told him, "Dad, we're fine, but... why are you worried? We caused trouble at school?" "I'll tell you later, my little ones."
He never did. But that's what caused him to work from home. Back to now, we were at school... I was at school, Fight ditched school to go to the creek and be alone. I don't like being alone, it makes me remember I'm not able to do anything. "Hey freak!" I looked up and saw the same kids who Fight hurt. "Your freak of a sister isn't here. We can kill you," the girl spoke before grabbing me by the shirt and holding me up to her height as she held me close to her face. Something in me went cold, my mind clouded as I leaned my head back before bring it forward quickly and hitting her right in the nose causing her to let go of me and stumble backwards. I fixed my shirt and apologized, "I'm sorry, but I don't like people grabbing me like that. It reminds me of the time I was bullied at school by a bitch... oh wait, that's what's happening right now."
She glared at me before telling her new goons to grab me, what did I do? Everything seemed to slow down, I looked at my hands before looking back up and ducking before rolling forward and getting up, hitting the girl's chin by standing up. Everything went back to speed as she fell down, holding her chin. I took this as my chance to get out of here. I grabbed my bag and ran out while her goons were checking on her. I kept running and running until I made it to the creek, panting. I looked up and saw her sitting on a fallen log, looking at the water. I sighed before walking to her and sitting down next to her. "Bad day?" she asked as I nodded. She patted my back before smacking me upside the head. "Idiot. Don't do that again, okay?" "Okay."
She took out her guitar and started playing familiar cords as I took a deep breath before singing along,
"Hey mom, dead mom, I need a little help here. I'm probably talking to myself here.
But dead mom, I gotta ask, are you really in the ground? Cause I feel you all around me. Are you here, dead mom?
Dead mom. Dead mom, I'm tired of trying to iron out my creases, I'm a bunch of broken pieces, it was you that made me whole, everyday dad's staring at me, like all, "Hurry up, get happy. Move along. Forget about your mom."
Cause daddy's in denial, daddy doesn't want to feel. He wants me to smile and clap like a preforming seal. Ignored it for awhile, but daddy's lost his mind for real. You won't believe the mess that we've become."
Fight started to sing as I watched her,
"You're my home, my destination and I'm your clone, your strange creation. You held my hand and life came easy, now jokes don't land. And no one sees me. Nothing seems to fit, mamma is this it? Are you receiving? I want something to believe in or I'm done!"
"Take us were my soul can run! Or I'll be in my bedroom, wake me when I'm twenty one! Daddy's moving forward, daddy didn't lose a mom!"
Fight joined in on me singing and I smiled because she isn't much of a singer as she says she is.
"Mamma won't you send a sign? I'm running out of hope and time. A plague of mine, a lighting strike, or drop a nuclear bomb! No more playing daddy's game, I'll go insane if things don't change. Whatever it takes to make him say your name! Dead mom!"
We looked at each other before laughing as we got up and started heading home. When we got home, we went to dad's room and knocked as he muttered a come in. I opened the door and saw dad in bed, mopping. "Dad, tell us about mom," Fight demanded as he looked at us before sighing sadly and sitting up and looking at us before telling us to come sit on the bed.
"Your mother... she was an amazing woman. Avery, your mother, she was able to handle a beating, even thought she was short and didn't seem to be able to fight. She was tested on by her own mother and was called Killing Machine because of her size that was easy to escape into small spaces, her speed, and well... she had a keen eye for blood. She didn't like it, she was a maid when I first met her. She was close to dying, but I saved her by cooking her something to eat and it gave her enough strength to handle her master. I'll tell you another time on what happened, but she owed me one. To be honest, I saved her again from being sold with help from your uncle Levi and she said she owed me again. We got to know each other and over time, I ended up falling for her. She told me the many times she was close to death so she didn't fear death, not one bit.
Sure, she didn't want to leave certain things behind like you two, but she couldn't help it. In fact, she said her last meal was going to be a whole thing of cookies, if not, then my cooking, but what she last had was tea. Your mother isn't a tea fan, but she drank it and smiled before leaving this world peacefully. Your mother was a brave woman. For a queen, she was tough. I will admit, something went wrong thanks to being slightly jealous, I forced your mother to stay awake for two weeks, but I was saved by your aunt Solar. If it wasn't for your mother staying determined to save me, I might've been dead. But even then, your mother never gave up easily. In fact, she told me her fears when you were in her stomach. She was scared you would end up like her, quick to knock someone's tooth out, but I know you'll think first before punching. You would see the problem and think of ways on how to get out of it. Which is why I wasn't angry, sure, I was disappointed slightly, but glad you both were okay,"
dad spoke before chuckling, "There was a time where she said, "Jefferson, I want to name my son or daughter either "Kimchi" or "Rice"." I looked at her as if she was crazy, but then I realized she was hinting she was hungry. I ended up getting smacked with a pillow by her." Fight and I laughed. It felt good to know who mom was for once instead of being left in the dark. I looked at dad and saw a woman leaning on him, smiling happily. She looked at me and put a finger to her lips to say to not say a word. I nodded once before listening to more stories from dad while Fight made comments and he laughed. Dad was finally happy and we weren't feeling so left out or strange. We were exactly like mom in our own special way.
People are like their relative in their own way, you might not know it, but maybe if you heard stories, you might connect some dots. Who knows.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1,724 words. Hopefully it wasn't too bad. When I first wrote this, I was thinking, "Maybe I can add a ghost who Mercy loves," then I said, "Nah! No mushy stuff. Just family stuff." And I have to say, I'm glad on how it came out. I was a little worried on how it'll come out, but this is my best work so far. The song Dead Mom is from the musical Beetlejuice like I said in the beginning, I recommend that you give it a listen, I really love it and I hope you guys love it too.

And yes, I know what you're going to ask, "Why are their names Mercy and Fight?" If you didn't know already, I didn't really have names for them, I had place holder names, "Jenny" and "Jeddy" and I didn't like it one bit. When I put Mercy for "Jeddy", I had to think of something to counteract the name Mercy, so I thought of "War" and "Violence" until I heard the word fight from Mortal Combat then I mentally smacked myself for being so stupid. So that's how the names Mercy and Fight came to be. Kinda. Not going into full detail into the names.

And yes, I know you're also going to say, "Oh, of course the one named Fight has to fight. Why did you do something so cliche if you hate them?" Well my dear puncakes, I'll put it like this,

I don't have much creativity! I lack at it at times, but I do my best to not do it. But do know this is just a story that didn't make it into a story and/or it's just a story that will never get a book because it's too short or it has a lot of gaps. Hoped you enjoyed! Bye!
