Chapter 7

You wake up, breathing hard.

"Greenie! Greenie's alive! Greenie's alive!"

You look up and find the group staring down at you.

"Are you okay?" Jen asked. Her hair was hanging over the edge.

You gradually stand up. You examine your arms, only to find scratches and bruises along your arm; no broken bones or sprains.

"Yeah, I'm pretty good. Just a few scrapes."

You study the wall. It had enough cracks and crevices in the sides for you to climb up.

Carefully, you start to navigate your way up the rock.

When you get to the stairs, you notice something missing.

"Where's Matthias and Jack?" You ask.

"They went to go get some vines if we needed to pull you out," Amy replied.

"Alright. Well, I...I have something to tell you guys, so... I'll wait. Let's just get out of here," You say.

You walk up the steps and sit on a burnt couch. Jen sat down next to you, and started examining your arm, making sure that there wasn't anything that needed to be treated immediately.

Off in the distance, you see Jack's bright green hair approaching, and you chuckle at the sight.

"Hey, he's okay," Matthias said when he reached the rest of his group.

"Aw, so I got these vines for nothing!" Jack whined, throwing the vines in the air, letting them fall on his head.

Kelly giggled.

Jen looked at you, head tilted, "What did you want to say?"

"We have to use the crystals," You say plainly.

"What? We can't!" Tiffany shouted.

"Yeah. Besides, how do you know that?" Matthias asked.

"Do you underestimate Vanessa?" You mutter softly, looking away.

Kelly gasped. "So you were given a prophecy?"

"Wow," Matthias breathed. "Didn't see that coming."

You sit in silence for a few minutes.

"What was it like? What did Vanessa say?" Amy whispered.

You explain what happened, detail for detail.

" 'There is a force you don't know, use the crystals against the foe'," Jack muttered. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, the force must be the one Mark told us about," Kelly said.

"But how are we supposed to use them?" Carly asked.

"We practice with them? See how they work?" You suggest.

"Maybe," Pat muttered.

You and the group start to walk back to camp.

Upon arriving back to the dens, you collapse on your makeshift bed, frustrated.

"Come on, lazybones," Jen muttered. "We have to figure out what to do."

You reluctantly get up and slowly walk to the firepit. Everyone else was there, murmuring quietly. They stopped once you appeared and sat down.

Tiffany gazed at you. "Is there anything else that happened during the prophecy?"

You shook your head. "No. I told you guys everything."

Suddenly, a group of people burst through into the clearing.

Amanda gasped. "Nathan! You're okay!" She ran over and hugged one of the men that had entered the camp.

You studied the people standing in front of you, and you recognize them as the scientists that help the C.P.A.A.

Matthias didn't seem fazed at the intrusion. "So how how are we going to find the unknown force.

Preston, one of the scientists, tilted his head. "You mean the one trying to take the crystals?"

The group of Agents nodded.

Preston glanced around. "Well... that force isn't so unknown anymore..."

"We located the source," said Carla. "And it's closer than we thought.

"What do you mean?" You ask.

"People of Crystilia had been working with the Sarfians. They shared our secrets with them," Preston said. "That is how they got an Atomic Firework Bomb."

"But why? That would just kill themselves, wouldn't it?" Amy asked, "They would be in the city when the bomb exploded."

"Nope. Remember the group that went out to the trading routes? Well, that's the people who are working with them. Which is why they didn't come back." Carla explained.

"And now they have our crystals. We've lost. We've lost everything." Nathan muttered.

"No, we haven't," Tiffany said, holding up her crystal.

Carla gasped. "You have them? How?"

"We brought them here. And now we have to use them against the Sarfians, I guess," Amanda said.

"Why do you think that?" Sasha asked.

"Vanessa gave me a prophecy," You say.

"Well then, you guys should probably leave and head for Sarfia. You don't want to keep our ancestors waiting!" Baylee said.

"But what about our camp?" Amanda asked.

"We'll look after it," Preston said.

"Well, we can leave tomorrow then," Pat said.
