Nash was on cloud nine.

8 Island diner was having an all you could eat buffet.

"Luna, Are we in heaven?" Nash asked with drool coming out of his mouth.

"No, We're at the most expensive restaurant in Fiore. Now hurry up and eat. I'm gonna grab a table while you get food. I want pancakes." Luna said grabbing a table, Where she was soon greeted by a familiar face.

"Hey Luna! Long time no see!"

"Hey Tyani! It's been too long!" Luna said hugging the caramel skinned waitress.

"What brings you here? I haven't seen you since Lucy was bringing you in!"

"I owed it to Nash. He's at the buffet so we're going to be here a while." Luna sweat dropped and Tyani laughed.

"Let me guess, coffee?"

"You know me." Nash came barreling toward Luna and grabbed her hand.

"Sorry Tyani gotta steal Luna see ya later! Nice to see you by the way!" Nash yelled pulling Luna out of the restaurant.

"But my coffee!"

"Luna there's no time for coffee! This is way more important."

"More important then coffee?" Luna questioned. 

"While I was in line, I overheard to guys talking about a man with sakura pink hair and strangely powerful fire magic roaming around in Brago. Luna, you know what this means right?" The words slapped Luna across the face like a wet fish.

"Dad." Luna said. "We have to tell mom!"

"No! I want to surprise her. It's her birthday in a few days. This will be a perfect gift for her." Luna looked down.

"Nash, We've investigated so many rumors exactly like this. How do you know this one is any different?" Luna said with her voice full of doubt.

"I don't, but it's a chance I'm willing to take. I know i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I don't ignore gut feelings, and my gut is telling me this is the one." Nash pleaded.

"You know what? Lets do it. What do we have to lose?" Luna and Nash did their handshake and ran toward their house.

"Alright, Luna. Feel the warmth of the sun and draw in every bit of that energy." Nash instructed. Light magic was Nash's forte so he had been instructing Luna in light magic. It was similar enough to solar magic they could be taught the same way. For a moment, it seemed to be working. Luna's magic power was increasing, her feet were leaving the ground and her purple eyes got golden specks. "Yes! Luna that's it!" All was going well: until she fell.

"Ugh. Let's just go. It'll be night by the time we get to Brago anyway." Luna said putting her jacket on and stormed off.

Luna maneuvered her way around all the furniture in her house and made her way up to her room. She took out her sketchbook and continued working on her drawing. Drawing happened to be one of her many talents.

"Hey, Luna," Lucy said appearing in the doorway. "Can I sit down?" Luna held her hand out to the spot next to her on her bed. "Nash said you're having trouble with your light magic. We've told you many times that we know you'll get it. I don't see why you're so upset." Lucy said putting her arm on Luna's shoulder.

"I know, but what I want to know is when. You've been saying that since I was five but in the daytime, I'm about as useful as Happy's green sack. I want to be able to summon more light than a reject light bulb." Luna said.

"Luna," Lucy said grabbing her hands, "You are stronger than any other mage your age I've ever met."

"Hey!" Nash called out from the kitchen. Lucy laughed then kept talking.

"I have no doubt in my mind that when you do unlock your sun powers, You'll be in S-Class in no time. The light in your heart shines brighter than all the stars in the sky. I should know! I used to be a celestial mage. You more power in your finger than most people have in general, and I know that one day you'll summon so much sunlight you'll make the world light up." Lucy said kissing Luna's head.

"Thanks mom. I needed that." Luna wrapped her arms around Lucy.

"So we'll be out on this job for a few days, a week at the most." Nash said tossing Luna an apple.

"What? No Gale?" Lucy asked.

"Nah. It's just us. Don't worry. We'll be back in time for your birthday. Promise. Don't tell Gale we're going out without him." Luna said. Nash kissed Lucy on the forehead and slung his bag around his bag.

"You two be careful! There are bandits roaming the Brago area." Lucy warned.

"Mom, this is us. We can handle them. See ya in a few days!" Nash said waving as the twins left their home.

When they got to the train station, it was already dark. It was a day long trip to Brago so it would be dark by they got there. They boarded the train and took their seat by the back.

"Okay. You should rest up. You're our ace in the hole for the night. I'll wake you up when we get there." Nash said. Luna didn't even try to put up a fight. Luna closed her eyes and was out in a matter of minutes.

It was an all-out battle between Fairy Tail and Kaori, and Fairy Tails numbers were quickly pulling out.

"NASH! GET OUT OF HERE!!" Luna yelled as the sun pulled into the sky, making her power decrease tremendously.

"NO WAY!! I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!" Nash yelled back. The last of Luna's power faded, making her fall to the ground. She looked behind her and saw Storm, Nova, Gale and all her friends hanging onto life. Before she could even cry, She felt a patter of blood splash on her face. She looked over to see Nash with an arrow right through his heart, and she found herself in the same place before she could even blink.

"AAAAAHHH!!!!" Luna yelled waking up. Nash sprung out of his seat and jumped next to Luna. She was breathing heavily and was in a cold sweat.

"Luna! Whats wrong?! What happened?!" Nash said worriedly.

"The g-guild was at w-war w-with Kaori. I w-was completely out of p-power, She sh-shot y-you Nash. R-Right through the heart." Nash brought Luna into a hug and stroked her soft pink hair.

"Shhhhhh. It's okay Luna. It was just a dream. Everything's okay." Nash said, trying to calm down his shaking sister.

"It felt so real." Luna said. Nash put Luna's hand on his chest.

"Beating heart, Luna. I know you're scared, but to it was just a dream. I'm fine, and everyone else is back at the guild laughing and getting drunk. There is nothing to worry about." 

"How can you be sure?" Luna trembled in her brothers' arms.

"We're the Dragneel twins. We always pull through no matter what. I know you're scared, but I'll always be here to tell you it's going to be okay." Luna started crying even harder than she was before. Not because she was scared, but for the first time in a long time she felt safe. "We're finally here Luna." Nash said. He got up and kissed his sisters forehead. "Come on. Let's get off this thing."
