The cryo pod opened, and Luna stumbled out. She took in her surroundings. She seemed to be in an unfamiliar medical bay.

Just then, Lance walked in. "Oh. You're awake."

Luna nodded. "Yep."

"Here. I'll introduce you to my team." Lance gently pulled her towards a room. Inside, a group of people were talking.

"This is Hunk and Keith. Krolia is just visiting. Over there, that's Princess Allura of Altea, and Coran, her royal adviser." A door opened, and a guy with white hair walked in, a wolf-like creature at his heels. "Oh and that's Shiro, and Keith's dog, Kosmos."

"Uhm... Nice to meet you all. I'm Luna. I've been in the Galra Heart experimenting facility for most of my life." Luna said nervously.

"Nice to meet you!" Coran said cheerfully. "We were just planning a surprise birthday party for Pidge. She turns eighteen tomorrow."

Lance grinned. "Awesome. Luna and i can help out in the kitchen."

"First, let's get Luna some new clothes so she doesn't have to wear those prison clothes the whole time." Allura commented before taking Luna's hand and pulling her out of the room. Luna ended up wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans with a pair of tennis shoes she borrowed from Lance.

Later, they met up with the rest of the team.

"Alright. Here's the plan." Coran said. "Keith and Kosmos will keep Pidge occupied while Hunk, Lance, and Luna work in the kitchen. Allura and Shiro will work on decorations while I keep watch on the bridge. Alright. Break!"

Keith raced off with Kosmos, and Luna followed Hunk and Lance to the kitchen.

As soon as they got there, Hunk took charge, giving instructions and measuring various ingredients. Soon, however, Hunk took Lance and mentioned to Luna,

"Lance and I need to go get more ingredients, stay here and watch the food, do what seems necessary." Hunk said.

Luna nodded and waited for Hunk to return. She did everything by the recipe, so why, when Lance and Hunk come back, was everything on fire?!

There was lots of panic as Lance tried to handle a fire extinguisher as Hunk tried to save the cake and Luna stood there in shock. Everyone was confused.

Finally, Lance managed to get the fire extinguisher to work, and by work, explode. Over everything. (except miraculously the cake)

Luna helped with the decorations instead.

Later, after the decorations were finished, Luna helped put away the empty boxes with Allura.

"So, um..." Allura hesitated on her question.

"Why the ears?" Luna asked for her.

Allura nodded.

Luna picked up a box. "It's a long story. You know how I was an 'experiment'?"

"Yeah?"

"Before I escaped, they tried out a new strategy of dark magic. Form changing. They tried to turn me into a cat. Something went wrong and... This happened." She gestured to her cat ears as she put the box on a shelf.

Allura nodded. "I understand. That must've been horrible."

Luna bit her lip. "Allura, can I ask you something?"

"Anything."

Luna took a deep breath. "Are there others?"

"What do you mean?"

"Other Alteans."

Allura froze. She didn't say anything for a count of three. Then, "I'm not sure. There used to be a colony... But after... After Lotor... " She looked down. "It disappeared."

Luna held her hand. "You liked Prince Lotor, didn't you?"

"Yes... We were definitely more than friends."

"He's gone now. Everyone makes mistakes."

Allura smiled. "Yeah. Everyone."

Luna placed another box up. Something small fell down. "What's this?" She picked it up. It was a silver barrette in the shape of a bow with an arrow drawn.

"Oh. I forgot it was in the castle." Allura said, evidently surprised, and was that awe? "Nobody had been able to use that in a long time. It's temperamental, chooses its wielder, not unlike the lions. I wonder why-"

The barrette glowed, and transformed in seconds. Luna was now holding an intricate silver and blue bow with a glowing bowstring, and a matching arrow already knocked.

Allura gasped. "Impossible! But that would mean you're... You're Altean!"
