❝ SYNOPSIS... ❞

KATHERINE DECKER couldn't stand Lucas Friar, not even from the moment she landed in his lap on the first day of seventh grade.

And yes, you did read that last part right. But if remind her of that day, she'd probably kick in your shins (thank her detective father for teaching her that).

But truth be told, Kat was a kind-hearted girl a majority of the time, thanks to her friendship with Riley Matthews, the embodiment of sweetness. She was also notably awkward, but overall she was the type of person who'd smile back if you smiled her way.

Well, except when it came to Lucas Friar, because she wouldn't smile, she'd actually punch the smile off his face instead.

Or, atleast try to.

Their dynamic? Think less enemies and more like frenemies with a knack for getting under each other's skin. Lucas enjoyed teasing and annoying Kat every day by simply existing. Meanwhile, she enjoyed their banter and using him as a punching bag whenever he was annoying.

Initially, Kat didn't dwell on their contentious relationship. But as Lucas started showing glimpses of genuine concern and care towards her, she found herself questioning the nature of their connection.

It led her down a path of confusion, grappling with emotions she refused to acknowledge. She couldn't possibly harbor any feelings for him, could she? And Lucas, reciprocating those feelings? It was a notion too absurd to entertain.

Yet, against all odds, the impossible started to feel possible.

Because in this life, Katherine Decker was the tear in Lucas Friar's life; the person that makes him bleed but let's him know that he's alive and has a soul. The one that makes him feel fire in his heart, especially because of her infuriating stubborn mind. And the one who takes him higher than he's ever been before in his life.

And soon, it's become clear to her that in this life, she also feels that way about him as well.

STORY NOTES: I know Sadie Stanley's natural hair is dark-brown but for the sake of this book, just imagine her with her red hair.

Also, this show is hella dramatic, and corny, so be aware that my characters will also sometimes be dramatic and corny, but I promise I won't make it a very potent aspect in their personalities.

As well, I feel like I have to say this with all my stories written in high-school, or now middle school, these characters are still children, which means they are naive. They don't have the knowledge of the world yet but they will learn to be mature as the story/trilogy goes, so don't get all mad at them when they act like children because—well—they are.
