"D-did I do something wrong?" I whisper

"I don't think so. Let's just give her space. She probably had a flashback or something." he whispered back.

I can only nod and follow him to where we need to go. The airship arrives at beacon and we all get off and walk towards the school.

"Wow! It's a lot bigger than I imagined it would be!" I say looking around at the whole school.

I see Titania step out. Her eyes were a little puffy. I felt like I was the cause and started to drag myself down "I feel really bad... I didn't mean to hurt her."

She walks up to us and says, "Sorry I had a friend like you that passed away and you reminded me of her." she says smiling sadly. "But I am fine now. So how was your trip?"

"I-it was ok... I guess" I say messing with my cloak "We should head to the main hall

Tia and Wes nod and follow me to the hall.

Once we arrive in the hall we all see a bunch of other students waiting and chatting amongst each other. I catch a glimpse of blond hair walking around but pay no attention to where it was going. Until I hear a voice beside me causing me to jump. "Hey, you're the one who jumped in on my fight." I look at the boy. "Oh, yea. Sorry about that"

"20 bucks say they get together?" Titania whispers to Wes.

"Deal." Wes said smirking.

I overhear them and Blush as I try and shrug it off. "Anyways sorry, for jumping into the fight. I just can't stand disputes especially before school starts..." I say as I look at the stage "By the way I don't know your name"

"My names Ocean." He says crossing his arms

"Mine's Diamond"

"I am Titania. This is Wes." Titania says pointing to Wes.

"Nice to meet you." Ocean replies

"Well let's go onto the room shall we?" Wes asks.

"Yea, we have our first mission tomorrow... why do we all have to sleep in the main hall?"

"No idea. But I am going to sleep. So that way I won't be late." Tia said blankly rolling out her sleeping bag.

"Same" I say running off and change into my pj's then come back and laydown. I look to the side to see Titania out cold.

Ocean and Wes walk off to get ready to sleep as well, but I was already out by the time they got back..

When I woke up I was laying halfway on Titania and my wings were pinned under Ocean with his wings laying on top and under me and Titania. Wes had his arms around Titania and Titania was flat on her back with an arm around Wes's neck..

"Hnnn... What is this?" I say to myself trying to dislodge my wings from between the floor and Ocean.

"Diamond why are you laying halfway on me?" Titania asks confused just waking up.

"Sorry, I'm stuck until we wake up Ocean and get him to get off my Wings..." I whisper

"And how do you plan to do that?" She whispered back. I only shrugged my shoulders as far as I could. I turn and gently shake his shoulder "Ocean... Ocean, please get up. Your on my wings"

Titania lost it and kick Ocean making him wake up and lift his wing.

I feel the weight move off my wings and I moved away and curled up into a ball and fell asleep again.Titania realizes what position she is in with Wes and moves further away and falls asleep on her side. When I woke I found I was being hugged by Ocean and I had my hands on his chest. I turned tomato. I looked over at Titania to see her faced my way hugging a pillow and Wes hugging her from behind. I chuckle and turn back forgetting Ocean was still hugging me and I still had my hands on his chest. I carefully pick up one of his hands up and got myself out and replaced myself with a pillow. I slowly walk over to Titania and snap a picture. I chuckle and plan on showing it to her later. Little did I know she did the same thing.

"Okie, now that I'm actually up I should get ready" I say quietly carrying a backpack with some clothes in it to the restrooms. A few minutes later Titania came in.

"Mornin." She said. "Man my hair does some strange things when I sleep." she said looking into the mirror staring at her hair.

I look in the mirror and notice my hair "Mine doesn't really change... then again mine is shorter"

I put on a blue tank top and my favorite skinny jeans With some belts, and I clasp my cape to conceal my wings from everyone else, I add a black button up tied around my waist, and adjust the blue choker around my neck. "I hope we get on good teams." I say smiling to Titania.

"Yeah." she said putting on a sky blue t-shirt a black sweater thing that was jacket like without the zippers, and a pair of black jeans. Then she put on her necklace and glasses and tied her hair into 2 pigtails leaving some of her long hair on the back fall to her ankles.

"So... I got somethin ta show ya" I say taking out my scroll and pulling up a certain picture.

"Eh?" She said squinting at the picture due to drowsiness.

"I think it'd make a good background pic for your scroll." I giggle

"What?" She said opening her eyes. Once she did they went as big as saucers. "EH!?" she screamed with a light blush dusting her pale cheeks. I looked around and saw a few people looking towards us. "Shh, not so loud." I say

"Why do you have that!?" she whisper shouted at me blushing harder.

"Why not?" I giggle and close the scroll

"Oh yeah, I have something for you too." she said getting her scroll out.

"What's that?" I ask tilting my head

"This." she casually responded showing the picture of Ocean hugging me with my hands on his chest. "Cute background pic, huh, Diamond?" she said giving me a mischievous grin.

"EEEPP!!" I shout immediately covering my mouth and turning redder than Ruby's cape. "WHEN!?"

"I woke up earlier than you and saw it and I had to take it, it's too cute of an opportunity not to take and then I went back to sleep." She teased a little too sweetly.

"But... if you think about it... it's weird... we all just met yesterday." I say blushing still

"Yeah it is but you two make a cute couple." Titania said showing me the picture again.

"And so do you too" I say holding out my pic too.

"Never show this to a single soul ever again?" she asked.

"Agreed" I say closing it out after I send her the pic. "Let's get back out there"

"Yeah." she said doing the same thing. "How are they going to choose the teams?" she asked as we made it back to the guys. Which were hugging themselves instead of the pillows. "One more pic?" she asked holding out her scroll.

"Yeah, definitely" I said also taking out my scroll  

We took picture like we were the paparazzi. I giggled like crazy and she chuckled a bit. We were showing each other our great pics. "Still can't believe we got it." she said.   

"I know right?" I say putting my scroll away.

"When should we show it to them?"

"Hmm, Maybe after the teams are formed?" I ask

"Hey I know this is pretty soon but I hope we get good teams. You know we stick with them through and throughout." she said with a serious face.

"Same here, it'll be fun!" I say sitting down only to have Ocean hug me around my waist "..." I sweat drop.

She takes a picture and laughs. She sat down too only to have Wes's head fall on to her lap and his hands wrap around her waist.

I snap a few quick pics laughing and giggling uncontrollably. She glares at me then shows me her pictures.

"Dang it... should we wake them up? I mean they look so peaceful." I say looking down and can't help messing with Oceans soft blond hair. Then he turned towards Wes and they hugged each other again.

"Oh no look at the time! Boys you guys gotta get up! You have to get ready before we have to leave!!" I shout waking up the boys.

"Wha?" Wes said opening his eyes. "What happened? I am up!" he said separating from Ocean.

Ocean only looked up and blinked before going back to sleep. "... Well I guess he's going as he is..." I say looking at Wes and Titania.

Titania smirked and took her scroll out. "Which one Diamond?"

"Hmm?"

"The ones from this morning of course!" she said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"What were you going to do with them?" I say trying to remember if I should've know this already.

"Just show them to Ocean." She said trying not to give it away to Wes. "The picture."

"O-oh, ok" I say with a slight reddish tint to my face. "Hey, Ocean look at this" I say shaking him

"Hmmmm...." Ocean mumbled trying to shift a pillow over his head.

"Wake up before I kick you..." I say with a dead tone.

"Get up before I scare you." Titania said scrolling through the device.

Ocean grudgingly gets up "What?" He says in a mad and grogey tone.

She gets pissed and finds the picture of him and Wes. "THIS!" she screams shoving it into his face.

"WHAT IS THAT!?" He shouts looking mortified

"This is you sleeping!" she says laughing. "I told you! And if you don't get up I WILL post it!"

"Fine, I'll get up and get ready..." he says walking off

"Sheesh what's got him all wound up in the morning?" Wes asked scratching his head.

"Should he see it?" I ask Titania

"Not yet." she said planning something.

"Ok" I say messing with my scroll setting a new background pic.

She did the same too, hers was the elements.

My scroll was taken out of my hand "huh? Nice background pic" says Ocean while I blush. The pic was of Ocean and I that Titania sent to me.

"Well I think we should get going." She says walking out the room. "You know before all the food is gone."

"Race you there!" I say running past her giggling.

"Fine" she said sighed and caught up to me. "Last one there eats what the winner gives them." She said running faster.

"Ah, Heck No!" Ocean says running faster than us.

"Like hell I am gonna lose to you!" Titania said picking up the pace.

"See ya there!" I say using my semblance to teleport there.

"Ohhhh two can play at that game." she said. "SPEED OF LIGHT HEED ME!" she said.

"NO FAIR GUYS!" Ocean shouted from across the room. All eyes were on us "oops, attracted to much attention."

The race was a tie between Me and Titania and Wes and Ocean came in next after us. "Ahhh look who's last." she said grabbing two plates.

I can't help but laugh at the boys faces. "Don't worry, I'll get you something good."

"I can't promise anything." she said starting to load the two plates.

"God have mercy." Wes said as he prayed like he never did before.

"So is there any particular way we're sharing this food?" Ocean asked sweating from... fear maybe?

"By the way Diamond?" she said looking at me with a bored expression. "Call me Tia. its easier and won't be such a bother." she said going back to her plate of despair for Wes. "This is going to be good." she said with a smirk.

"Ok, and Tia you can just call me Dia if you'd like" I say grabbing some food for Ocean.

"And the answer to that is yes, Ocean. And okay, Dia." she said smiling again.

Ocean looked to Wes  "Dude we're gonna die".

"No you're not." she said folding her arms. "At least not yet." she went back to filling the boy's plates. "We have training, that ought to do it."

"Don't worry if you die I can bring you back" I say laughing

"Oh?" Tia said setting 2 mountains of food down, "How?" she asked taking a bit of hers.

"I was trained in CPR and First Aid... so they can't die... " I say shrugging

"Oh, okay." she said going back to her food. "So Dia, do you play any instruments?" she said trying to start a conversation. All that was heard was the boys mumbling a prayer.

"Yea, or well sorta. I am trying to learn to play violin." I say dragging Ocean to his seat

"Cool. I actually play both Violin and piano and dabble in others, I could teach you if you want." she offered and she caught Wes and chained him to his seat. "You are not leaving till you eat your food." she said strictly to Wes.

I start eating allowing Ocean to choose whatever he wanted "That would be great Tia"

We watched to boys forcefully chew and swallow the food.

"Hehehe, How does it taste?" I say chewing on some bacon.

"Shut up." Ocean groaned as he put scrambled eggs into his mouth.

"What!? You don't like eggs!?" I say

"No, I like them, just the food Tia gave us... it's so much." He said.

"Yeah, you try eating this." Wes joined in, stuffing his face with bacon.

"Eat up boys, you're gonna need that energy!" I say eating some more food.

"You got that right, Dia." Tia said eating some more pancakes and then gulping her OJ down. "See you guys on the field."

I look up "Aww, I'm not done yet..." I say trying to stuff my face with the last of my food.

"Take your time Dia, you don't want a stomach ache." she said chuckling as she went down the hall out of the cafeteria.

"Hmm..." I look at the boys who start stuffing their mouths again.

"Man, she really went overboard with the food." Wes mutters shoving waffles into his mouth.

"Definitely... We're gonna have a stomach ache before we have to go" Ocean said drinking his water to get everything down.

I sigh and finish my food before getting up "You boys don't have to eat everything just most of it. That way your performance won't be affected."

"Aw man!" Wes groans clutching his stomach. "She better be able to heal this." He got up and hunched over. He made his way to the exit.

I walk out with my cape flowing behind me and turn a corner to head back to the main hall. Ocean groaned as he got out of his seat and almost fell face first on the floor.

"Come on then!" Tia yelled from the other side of the hall. "We don't want too be late, now do we?"

"Tia! You better heal this!" Wes said walking up to her.

I laugh as I watch the boys.

"Oh yeah? Fine." She put her hand on his stomach and healed it. "Now then." She punched and walked off, "Never tell me what to do. Rule one."

Wes kneeled down and looked at her. "What a badass." He muttered and got up.

"Welp, Now we know not to mess with her" I say smiling and follow after her. Ocean helps Wes up and runs to catch up with us.

"So we have to head to the cliff right? Why a cliff anyways?" Ocean asks in a highly confused voice.

"First of all that's where we were told to meet, second of all we are going to LAUNCHED off the cliff." Tia said in a irritated voice. "I would think that is obvious."

"Why are you so cold to people?" Wes asked

"That is none of your concern, if we are on the same team I might tell you." She looked off into the sky and sighed.

I looked to tia with a small look of sadness, I really wanted to get to know her better. I look around as we keep walking.

"Well, We are the first people to meet you here... and we just want to know more about our friend. Is that so wrong?" Ocean asks while looking at tia's back

"No, but we are not friends yet, not in my book. To be my friend you have to be on my team, otherwise we will be enemies." Her voice was far and cold. "I don't make friends just like that."

"What? Not all teams are enemies you know. Why can't you accept us? I mean come on, Dia seems to really like you and she wants to be your friend. Are you going to hurt her by denying her that right?" Ocean replied back

"Of course not! My intent is not to hurt anyone... It's just... it's been a long life ride for me and I don't trust easily... I want to make sure I have people who I can trust rather than go blind in a friendship and then see it crash!" She spat and looked away. "I want to make sure it lasts." She said the last part quietly.

I look down and place a hood over my head and walk ahead to cool off my head. "I want a real friendship as well. But I guess that won't happen, It seems like I only tend to be alone anyways."

"Dia... that's not what I meant..." she said softly. "I just don't want to get hurt or hurt anyone else..."

"I don't care if I get hurt"

"What do you mean?" She asked astonished.

"I mean I don't care if I get hurt if it means I have a real friend. I would go through Hell with a smile for them. That's what I mean" I said with tears building up.

"Diamond...." Tia said taking a step to me.

I look up at her "What...?" I couldn't help the hurt that was in my voice

"I-I.... I am sorry, this is what I mean... I can't make friends like you... I am best off alone." She turned around and began to walk away.

"You can't make friends if you push them away at first. Besides. To me you will always be my friend whether you like it or not." I say and walk off to the cliff leaving the others behind

"Yeah, only you have that chance..." She said walking in full speed to the other side of the cliff.

I sigh in frustration as I stand at the ready on my platform. Dr. Ozpin explains the rules and tells us that the first people we make eye contact with is our partner. We should also be aware that there are grim in the forest and that they will not rescue us.

"Perfect, just what I wanted. A grim!" Wes groaned.

"Toughen up buttercup." Tia growled.

"WAIT! YOU MEAN WE COULD BE ATTACKED AND YOU WON'T HELP US!?" Ocean shouted

"Shut up and man up." I say quietly as I watch the others who are getting launched

"This will be fun." Tia said with a sly smirk.

The platform Wes is on ends up launching him into the air and sending him towards the forest. "WAH!!!!" He screamed as he became a dot.

Then my platform sprung me into the air. I felt the wind in my pixi cut hair. I saw the fluffy white clouds whizz by me. I began to descend into the trees. As the safe canopy provided me a cover, I also knew that I would have to be alter at all times as well.

"LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" I yell as I work on my landing strategy

Next Tia's platform went off also sending her flying into the brightly lit sky. She spread her wings and hands and glided and landed somewhere ahead of me.

Ocean was the last to get launched towards the forest.. Though all he did was scream his head off in terror, maybe giving him a  fear of heights.

"OH MY GAD HELP ME! PLEEEEAAASSSEEEE!" was all that was heard as he fell into the trees.

"That is his quote for his future team?" I mumbled to myself.

I activate my wings and glide down to a strong enough looking tree branch, only to find out that it wasn't that strong and fall towards the ground hitting a few branches on the way not able to catch myself.

I felt a pair of arms catch me. I instinctively clung on. "What are you doing?" A familiar soft voice asked. I look up to see Tia and my eyes grow wide "T-Tia!? I- uh, I fell from a tree apparently" I sigh and step onto the ground

She lets me off the I feel something moving out of my hair. "Um Dia? You have some twigs there..." Tia said turning around shaking.

I look up towards my hair and start to brush the twigs out of my hair with my fingers. "Uh, thank you for catching me... But I have the sneaking suspicion you're laughing at me" I say with a straight face. I quickly shake out my wings and cover them back with the cloak and grab her wrist to find the artifact at the ruins.

She clears her throat and looks at me. "What are you doing?" She asked following me. "And, I couldn't help it, it made you look like you had a mane." She let out a laugh.

"Well, since we met here we are now partners and right now it's our mission to get the artifact and make it back to beacon all in one piece. Also my hair can't help it!" I say smiling back at her

She simply nods and goes back to her dull expression. "Do you think we might see the guys soon?" she asked. "And honestly, they seem a little... um... wimpy? Is that the right word? I mean come on, those were their words?" she said smiling shaking her head.

"I agree, they do seem a bit to wimpy. I think they may be around here somewhere." I say looking up to the sky and hearing a few bushes rustling.

Suddenly the bushes moved quickly. "GRIM!! RUN!" A voice screamed. Then two figures emerged from them. They ran into us. I opened my eyes and was the boys in front of us.

"What the-" Tia was interrupted by wes.

"GRIM! AND IT'S A SNAKE!" He shouted scrambling behind her.

"WHAT IS THIS!?!?!?! WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO!?!?!" Ocean yelled hunching down and covering his head.

"Really?" Tia muttered groaning. She facepalmed and got up. "Do you guys ever not whimper or complain or do anything not embarrassing?"

"Seriously.. You two are embarrassing can't you both fight like the men you're supposed to be." I say activating my pack making my metal wings appear.

Tia expanded her black wings and sighed. "Which way did the grim go?" she asked the buffoons. Wes held up a shaking finger and pointed north. "Then that's where we go."

"Right! Let's go" I say grabbing Oceans wrist and launch myself above the tree line while he clings for dear life till he can fly on his own.

Tis picked Wes up bridal style and launched into the air. "H-hey! Isn't this supposed to be in reverse?" Wes asked hiding his face in his hands.Tia raised and eyebrow but said nothing.

We glided along and looked around for any sign of the grim the boys were talking about. We stopped as we saw a huge coiled shape in the center of a clearing. "You think that's it?"

"Yeah, this should be it. Wes do you think you can be a big boy and use your wings while Dia and I kill the grim?" she asked like a person talking to a child.

"Hmph!" Wes responded. Tia sighed and let go off him. He tumbled for a bit before he could catch himself.

"A little warning would have been nice," He yelled from below.

"She did..." Was my only reply as I looked at him with a straight face

"Welp! I aint going no where near that thing. I have a phobia of snakes!" Ocean said and shuddered.

"Why do I even bother, come on, let's go Dia." Tia said fly towards that snake."

"Right" I reply gliding down after her "Off to beat a huge snake... sadly I like snakes but this ruined it"

As we made it to the ground the snake lifted its head towards us and showed its sharp fangs letting us know it was agitated. I look to Tia as she looks back to me. We both nod as we know what we're gonna do. Tia looked at a lake and smirked. She dove down to the lake and said, "Element of water, heed me and help me with this great enemy." She touched the water and flew back up. The water traveled with her. She flew around the trees and called for the vines and flowers. Then she flew to the snake and whirled around and put on a show. "I am putting on a show for a snake..." she said in a shocking tone. "Well that's new." she continued to prance around.

I smile and quietly sneak around behind the snake, I sigh and use my real wings instead of the metal ones so it won't be noisy. Though I can't stay in the air long because they are weak. I form a sword and stop flapping my wings allowing me to go into a free fall. I do a flip before landing on the snake and impaling it along the spine.

The snake slipped out of its trance before I could land it. It swung its body and hit both me and Tia. A fang sliced her and sent her into a tree. I fly towards the ground hitting it but roll as well, I end up with a slightly dislocated shoulder and I yell to Tia "Are you ok!?"

She lets out a groan. She wasn't getting up. Suddenly a blur of gray and sea green dive down. The snake tries to attack them but misses each time. I see Tia trying to get up.  

I shake my head at her trying to keep her from injuring herself any further. I get up after painfully relocating my shoulder and forming my metal wings again. The boys worked one distracting the snake then the other attacks, then the rolls switch.

Tia ignored my attempt and stood up. She pressed herself against the tree and began to heal herself. She motioned me over. Once I was in arm's length she started to heal me to. "Idiot, honestly, you need to be more careful." She said, but there was care in her voice.

"Well, I should say the same thing to you. I mean look at you, you're a bit worse than me" I say with a bit of a smile as I feel the pain in my shoulder disappear.

"It's just a scratch, I'll live." she said chuckling. I looked at the gash then sigh. "Anyway, let's show the boys how it's done, we don't want too be showed up by those idiots." she said smirking.

"Yea, that would make us look bad" I say winking before taking off to switch off with one of the guys to distract the snake.

"Dia, what is your most powerful attack?" she asked studying the snake.

"I can send electrical shocks through my dagger" I said dodging an attack from it's tail

"Alright, you get your daggers ready, I am going to give you a signal, after I do, throw them at my with your best shot, okay?" She said swooping down.

"Right, I'll be ready" The dagger on my pack prepare to be launched at the snake and waited for her signal.

She drops to the lake and then goes to the forest, she returns with a iced curve bow with vines wrapped around it. "Now!" She yells.

My daggers launch from my pack and aim for the snakes weakest points.

She muttered something. Suddenly an arrow appeared. She took it and shot it. It hit the snake and then antient circles appeared around the snake, it seemed frozen. My dagger hit it and seemed to kill it. She looked up and smiled at me. "We did it!" she yelled and thrusted her bow into the air.

I looked at the snake and stay a bit cautious "Yea, we did"

She smiled and collapsed on the floor. "Man... I feel dizzy." She looked at me. "Don't you feel a bit drained?"

I nod and lay down on the ground curling up a bit. "Yea, I wonder why?" I say with a yawn.

Before she could say anything she passed out. "Good night..."

I smile then slowly my eyes closed and the sounds faded out my mind wanders into a deep sleep.

Third person p.o.v.

The boys stared in shock as the girls had taken down the snake. They watched as the girls laid down and fell asleep.

"Are they asleep?" A voiced asked in the forest.

"Yes, but there are too many people, we can't take them, and the other two are awake." One responded.

"Very well, Kevin, next time, don't be so sloppy." The voice said.

"Whatever, I'll see you later Coal" Kevin replied.

The boys over heard the voices but acted like they didn't hear them as they walked over to the tired girls.

"Let's get them so we can complete this. Then we'll know who is on our teams."

"Yeah, we need to make sure they are okay too."Wes said reaching Tia. He picked her up and carried her bridal style. "Who is carrying who now?" he smirked.

"You're still hung up about that?" Ocean asked as he picks Dia up and carries her on his back.

"She called me a wimp!" He argued back.

"Weelllll... nevermind" He replies back with a smile

"Hey! What does that supposed to mean buffoon?" He retorted.

"Hey! Who you callin a buffoon?"

"Is there anyone else here?"

"Fine! then we're both buffoons"

"Shut up..." Tia groaned. "You are acting like children." she said in her sleep. She leaned in and put her head on Wes's chest.

"To loud" Dia mumbled as she hung her arms around Oceans shoulders

"Even asleep they can throw insults." Wes said in disbelief and sweat dropped.

"Well, Tia can... Dia's just too picky..." Ocean said looking back at dia while rolling his eyes a bit.

They flapped their wings and went to the ruins and grabbed the artifact. Dia woke up a bit and grabbed the black night piece then fell back asleep holding the piece in her hand and Ocean grabbed the white knight piece.

While the boys were making their way back to the school Kevin was hidden in the trees. "This one may have failed, Coal, but I have one more plan."

"Alright, I trust you." Coal said then hung up.

"Sleep well, I will see you in class." He said and started hackeling.
