The Hideout

"Hello Victors!" said the crude voice of King Dimitar. Victors? Thought Darius; more like victims. "I trust you have been acquainted?" "Hardly." scoffed the girl- Azrail. Darius's pulse quickened. Why would she try to agitate the king like that?! But to his surprise, the king laughed, and called someone named Cadfel. Then he practically waltzed out of the room. The ogre he assumed was Cadfel entered. "Get up." growled the ogre. Azrail snapped her fingers... and everyone in the room was lifted up. Darius stared at her incredulously. How powerful was she, if her telekinesis was that effortlessly good. Cadfel glared at her and she sighed, dropping them. Everyone scrambled to their feet. Darius couldn't help but grin at the daunting expression Azrail was sporting. She likes messing with people...

Cadfel gave them each a leaping crystal and left. They stood there in silence for a couple minutes, until Azrail spoke up. "Why don't we all use the same one?" "Okay" "Alright" "Sure I guess..." Azrail held the crystal up to the light, and they leaped. Azrail and Rue both landed on their feet, Aguie on his face. The room they were in was another cave, causing Darius to remember the haunting things he had seen earlier. In front of the was an elf they all recognized from the Neverseen.

Fintan Pyren.

(POV CHANGE)

Augie watched as his group reacted to the elf in front of them. Rue shrunk away. Darius looked the other side. Azrail stared at the elf, determination in her eyes. And him? Augie just stood there paralyzed. The elf they had been told so very much about, was here? "Hello, Killers" Killers? Augie could tell that Azrail and Darius had killed, maybe even Rue. But him? Augie would never kill someone. It was pure luck that he had made it out alive. "I suppose you don't have uniform yet? Who speaks for you?" Augie just stood there, petrified. Click looked scared, and Darius looked wary. "I do, sir." said the firm voice that was Azrail.  "Hmm... what's your name child?" "My given name is Azrail, sir."

"Which animal did you play in the Bloodbath?" "... A wolf, sir." she responded. "Then you shall be known as Wolf. What about your companions?" "Rue, was a red panda, I believe the brunnete was  a Fox, and I have no idea about Darius." "Hmmm, well then, капитан. Organize your team." Said Fintan, with a lightly pleased look. The tall elf left, leaving then staring at Azrail in shock. Her posture was formal, but her eyes were wide.

"Well... that just happened?" she said. "What in gods name is a капитан ?" said Darius. "Oh, капитан means Captain in Russian dialect! Vaguely 156.6 million people speak the language-" Rue started, stopping when she saw Azrail's mildly amused expression. "Erm- sorry..." "No, what are you apologizing for? That's bloody interesting!" "Thank you? That's not what most people say..."

"What do they say?" "...Piss off" Azrail let out a short bark of laughter, before regaining composure. "Darius, what animal did you play?" "A caracal?" "Okay... I have no idea what that is. Red?" Rue looked enthralled and started rattling off facts. "The caracal is a medium-sized wild cat native to Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and arid areas of Pakistan and northwestern India. It is characterized by a robust build, long legs, a short face, long tufted ears, and long canine teeth- is that too much?" "No, perfect." said Wolf. "So, everyone's okay with me playing captain, right?"
