Donnie's POV:
I'm in my lab, looking at Misty's pictures I secretly took when she or the others weren't looking. She's so beautiful, either in her human form or in her ghost form. My feelings for April fade away as Misty and I grew closer.

Every time I'm near here, my heart races. She's beautiful and smart, and caring. "Hey, Donnie!" I yelp as I quickly shut my laptop close to make sure whoever is talking to me didn't see I was looking at Misty's pictures.

I look who was calling me and saw April. "Oh, hey April!" I said without stuttering, wow, I didn't even stutter when April's around, only Misty. "Say, do you have time?" April said, "Uh, sure." I said, wonder what she wants.

"Um, if you have a crush on a girl, you would obvious make her night the best, right?" April said nervously, "Yeah?" "Well, who will you take?" April said, I think I know where's she getting at, "Well, it's a surprise. But I could use some help." "I can help with that." April said happily, "Great! Here's what I need." I said as I explain my date, I hope Misty loves it.

3rd person's POV:
A week later and Misty was training with Yoshi-san, "Impressive, Misty. I must say you got better at your training." "Thank you Yoshi-san. That's probably my friends and I did train in the Ghostzone before getting out of there."

Suddenly Carrie and Mikey enters as soon as Misty is finished training. "Hey Misty, Donnie left a note for ya." Mikey said, holding a folded paper in his hand. "A note for me?" Misty said confused, "Yeah! Sounds like he wants you to meet up with him." Carrie said.

"Really? Then how come he didn't just tell you guys?" "Cause he's plannin' a surprise for you, just read the note." Mikey smirked, giving the note to Misty.

"Oh alright." Misty sighs, taking the note, "But this better not be a prank!" "It's not! Promise!" Carrie said.

Misty opens the note and reads it.

Misty blushes at the note she read, what is Donnie planning? "Well, I guess I better go and see what he wants. See ya later, Yoshi-san." Misty said to her old friend.

"Goodbye Misty, have fun." Master Splinter said, smiling. "See you guys later." Misty said, leaving to get ready. "Bye Misty!" Carrie said, "Have fun!" Mikey said, 'Now it's all up to you D. Hope you don't blow it, hehehe.' Mikey chuckled in his mind.

Luckily for Misty, she bought clothes when she was going out to explore what changed in New York since she was a little girl. A few minutes later, Misty came out, wearing a beautiful dress.

"Ok, Misty, you can do this. No need to get nervous over nothing. This isn't going to be like deja vu all over again like in Japan." Misty mutters to herself as she makes her way out of the lair.

"Hey Misty, pretty dress." Kelsey greeted her friend from the couch she and Leo are in. "Thanks Kelly." Misty said, "Where are you going?" Kelsey asked.

"I'm going to meet up with Donnie he said he was planning something." Misty explains, "Why do I get a good feeling he's gonna go what we all expect him he's gonna do?" Leo thought amused. "Ok, have fun and be careful." Kelsey said.

"I will." Misty smiled, after she left the lair, Leo and Kelsey smiled at each other, knowing what Donnie was going to do.

Meanwhile, Misty finally arrived at the rooftop, but she doesn't see Donnie anywhere. "Donnie?" Misty called out, "I got your note! Where are you?" Misty looked around and saw another note, she picked it up and read it.

Your getting close to my surprise.
Just take five steps forward,
Three steps right,
Two steps left
And look behind you.
From Donnie

Misty giggles, "Donnie, what are you up to?" So Misty took five steps forward, three steps right and two steps left. She finally turns around and gasps at what she saw; behind her was a lovely dinner.

"Wow... Who did this?" Misty said amazed, "I did." Misty turns around to see Donnie standing behind her with a rose in his hand.

"You look beautiful." Donnie said, giving the rose to Misty, causing her to blush.

"Thank you Donnie. This is so romantic, I can't believe you did all this." "Well to be honest, I did have a little help." Donnie blushes, "Thanks April."

"I love it, no one ever done anything like this to me before." Misty said, Misty and Donnie giggled as they both started to have the best night of their lives as they both sat next to each other.

"So Misty, how do you like New York so far?" Donnie asked, "To be honest, it's been a long time. I used to live here actually." Misty admits honestly, "Really?" Donnie said surprised, "Yep, I was born and raised in the upper ring of New York before I moved away with my mom. So I feel a little nostalgic." Misty said, feeling happy that she's in New York again after so many long years.

Misty noticed the nervous look on Donnie's face. "Donnie? What's wrong?" She asked concerned, "Ok Donnie, you can do this." "Well... There's something I want to tell you, Misty."

"What is it? You know you can tell me anything, Donnie." Donnie took a deep breath before standing up, "Ok, but first follow me." Misty takes Donnie's hand as she followed him not far from the dinner spot. She saw his new invention laying there, it's like a machine for fireworks.

"Push this button." Misty was a little confused by what Donnie mean, but she push the button anyway. Suddenly Misty saw something that made her gasp, she was amazed by the fireworks started to appear.

"It's beautiful!" Misty gasp softly, "That's not all, look!" Donnie pointed to the fireworks, Misty gasp when she saw the fireworks with the words, 'I love you'.

Misty was super shocked and speechless, she look at Donnie and said, "Donnie..." "Ok Donnie, this is it!" Donnie took a deep breath and holds Misty's hands and stare at her eyes.

"Misty, ever since I met you, I felt something I thought I never felt. It was your love, your generosity and love for me, and I couldn't be more happier than go be with you. It is YOU I want. I want you in my life. Forever until I die."

Donnie pulled out a beautiful ruby ring April got to for him to give to Misty.

"Misty.......I love you!.......Will you be my girlfriend?"

Misty covers her mouth and started crying. But she wasn't crying in sadness, she was crying in happiness.

"Yes.......YES! YES! YES!" Misty said as she hugs Donnie tightly, tears still falling from her eyes.

"Really? You mean it?" Donnie gasped, "Of course I mean it!" Misty said as she let Donnie go and holds his hands.

"Donnie...I love you too. Ever since we first met, I felt this connection between us, a bond I never want us to be apart."

"I can't believe it.....She loves me." Donnie blushes, "So.....Does this mean you'll be my girlfriend?"

"Yes Donatello, I love to be your girlfriend!"

Donnie is so happy now that he finally found true love. He slowly puts the ring on Misty's left ring finger, they both smiled and kissed under the fireworks. They both happy now that they're a couple.
