Team Free Will vs. The Resistance

The city they were in was old and run down. There were scorch marks in the streets and the the sides of buildings. Old Carver Edlund Supernatural books lay discarded in the streets, and on the covers were written messages such as:
TEAM FREE WILL IS REAL

I BELIEVE IN TEAM FREE WILL

GALLIFREY STANDS

CARRY ON, MY WAYWARD SONS

THE ANGELS ARE ON OUR SIDE

I STAND WITH WINCHESTERS

SHERLOCK LIVES

Every book cover was written on. And several of the pages held similar messages. Every page was torn out, many were burned, and it looked as though every single one of Carver Edlund's hundred-something books were torn apart and destroyed. The pages upon pages littered the streets.

Windows in all the buildings were broken, and the doors held a strange circular writing that Sam and Dean had never seen before.

Banners still hung in windows displaying messages of Team Free Will. The banners were scorched, but somehow the writing held up, despite whoever tried to destroy them.

Clearly, something called them here and needed their help. They couldn't have made it more apparent if they had written it on the side of a building. Which they did. The city seemed lifeless and deserted except for the huge white banner hanging from the building down the street. It was splattered with a bit of blood and dirt, but the sheet was still relatively clean, so it had been done recently.

There was a loud knocking on the building where the banner hung and a few shadows milled around in front of the window, waving and pushing to see the boys. The Winchesters walked cautiously toward the building, when a loud crashing sound was heard and the door was flung open.

It was a tall young man, who had clearly just fallen down the stairs to get to the upcoming party.

"It's Team Free Will!" He shouted, bursting into the street to see them. His clothes were too big for him. His camouflage pants were muddy beyond belief and his black shirt was baggy. He had a rifle strapped to his back and his hair was long and flopping over the black bandana around his forehead.

Nevertheless, he hugged The Doctor, then Sam and Dean. He looked anxiously at the others and glanced around.

"Come on, we can't be outside too long," he took Dean by the arm and tried to take him inside.

"Woah, woah, we're not going anywhere unless you tell me what on earth is happening!" Dean ripped his arm from the man's grip.

The man nodded. "You're just like I've heard," He brought an iron knife across the back of his hand, and then poured salt on his own arm. "If you'd like to do the holy water and borax check, I understand."

He held out his arms and Sam awkwardly splashed him with holy water. "Care to explain what a borax check is?"

The man's eyes widened. "Oh. Sorry. You're not at that part of the story yet."

He took another look around.

"Okay, we really can't be outside any longer, I'm sorry. Come on in."

Dean was about to walk with him, but The Doctor somehow got to the front of the group to talk to the man. Dean's jaw clenched at the sight of the alien time traveler pushing on front of him. Sam touched Dean on the arm, just enough to snap him back to reality and gave him a look that said, 'There are clearly bigger problems than the Doctor right now.'

Up ahead, The Doctor was talking.

"So, what's your name then?"

"Kyle. Kyle Mueller. And this is The Resistance."

He let the group inside the building with the banner. Tables were barricaded against the doors and windows. Demon warding was painted on the windows and the flooors. There was warding that Sam and Dean had never even seen before. Circular patterns and zig-zag dash marks were on the tables and the walls.

The walked over top of a mat at the door with a devil's trap painted under it, and Kyle flipped a painting on the wall to show another Devil's trap.

Everyone lined up awkwardly against the wall and looked around.

Nearly 30 pairs of eyes were watching them intensely. Kyle coughed awkwardly.

"Well, um, this is The Resistance... and uh... Resistance, this is Team Free Will,"

The room broke into applause. People came from across the room to shake hands and hug the men. Kyle tried spouting off names as people approached, but it became overwhelming as people crowded the group.

The most notable member of the Resistance was a young girl, maybe 10 years old, named Sophie. She held a pistol shyly the whole time and smiled at Sam.

Kyle began to calm down the group. "Okay, okay everyone, step back. We really should take them to the leader before this goes any farther. He's the one who told us about Team Free Will in the first place."

A young man named Justin and a middle aged woman named Patty (Sophie's mother) went with Kyle and the boys into a warded room.

"Team Free Will has arrived, just like you said. They're finally here." Patty said to the door.

"Bring them in!"

The door was opened and the boys stepped over a Devil's Trap. The Doctor, Sherlock, John, and Castiel waited outside.

There, on the other side of the room, in a baggy black T-shirt, muddy, torn blue jeans, with nothing less than a machine gun strapped to his back, stood the Resistance Leader: Adam Milligan.
