Deal with the Devil
"God, what is my life?" Chase sighed as he swirled the contents of his glass around before taking a long drink.
"You need another?" The bartender spoke up gruffly, Chase shaking his head as he slammed the glass down.
"Thanks." Chase nodded in appreciation, leaving a wad of crumpled up bills on the bar next to his drink before getting off of the stool he was sitting on.
Chase looked around to see Sam and Dean talking to the the casino owner while Schneep was being escorted to a separate room by a woman in a black dress, a drink in each of their hands.
"Good for Doc." Chase muttered semi-bitterly as he watched the pair disappear into a separate room.
Chase considered going back to the bar until he saw the woman leave the room without Schneep.
"Well shit, that can't be good." Chase cursed under his breath as he maneuvered through the crowd, making sure to stay out of eyesight of the woman as he crept towards the room Schneep had entered.
Chase quietly cracked the door open enough to see Dark sitting at the head of a table with a deck of cards, Schneep's face pale and his hands shaking.
"Hello Chase, long time no see."
Anti appeared in Chase's view and dragged Chase into the room before slamming the door shut, roughly shoving Chase so he sat down in a chair next to Schneep.
"Welcome to the game." Dark greeted the male, dealing cards out on the table.
"He's playing for lives. If I lose, I die. If I don't, zhen Marvin is safe." Schneep explained quietly, Chase looking around to see Anti holding a knife to an unconscious Marvin's neck.
"I'll play in Doc's place." Chase volunteered, scooping up the cards on the table to elicit a smirk from the demons.
"Chase-"
"Make your bet first." Dark interrupted Schneep, Chase carefully examining his cards with a steely expression.
"With what?" Chase countered as he looked up from his hand, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"With lives of course. That's what we're playing for." Dark chuckled, Chase's jaw trembling slightly as he fought to keep his poker face.
"I bet my life then." Chase stated with a tinge of fear in his voice as he discarded three of his cards, drawing three new ones from the deck.
"I bet Marvin's life." Dark replied calmly, his gaze briefly scanning his cards before he looked up and discarded one of his cards.
"Now, show your cards since we're only doing one round of betting." Dark directed Chase.
Anti's expression was smug as Dark revealed a straight flush, the dark haired demon patiently waiting for Chase to show his cards.
"I'm sorry Doc." Chase whispered remorsefully as he bowed his head, revealing his three of a kind hand.
"I have the higher hand, therefore I win." Dark crowed proudly, Schneep moving to intervene as Anti strode towards Chase with his knife in hand.
Dark grabbed Schneep and held a hand over the German's mouth to muffle his cries as Anti slit Chase's throat, the male collapsing to the ground in a pool of blood.
"Doc...a-am I...a...go-good man?" Chase choked out weakly as his eyes locked with Schneep's, Dark letting Schneep go so the German could kneel beside Chase.
"Yes Chase, you'll go to Heaven and you'll be happy." Schneep promised as tears welled up in his eyes, Chase's nodding slightly as his eyes fluttered shut.
"So Doc, ready to give poker a try?" Anti prompted as he sat back down at the table, blood dripping from his knife.
Schneep glared furiously at the demons as he stood up, sitting down at the table as tears continued to roll down his cheeks.
"Just kill me already." Schneep sighed in defeat as he stood in front of the demons, his arms at his side.
"No, that would kill the fun!" Anti protested with a laugh.
"Wha...where 'm I?"
Marvin groggily lifted his head up and opened his eyes before closing them once more, the magician groaning softly as Dark sauntered over to him.
"Vhat did you do to him?!" Schneep demanded fiercely, Anti pointing his knife at Schneep's chest to keep him at a distance.
"Hen..." Marvin mumbled as his head drooped once more, his eyes barely open as his chest rose and fell with each shallow breath he took.
"We had to drug him so he didn't cause any problems." Dark explained casually, Anti yanking Marvin's head up by his hair.
"Sit, you still have a game of poker to play if you want to save Marvin." Dark prompted Schneep, gesturing to a chair.
"No...don't." Marvin pleaded weakly, Anti silencing him with a punch to the face that created an angry red mark on his cheek.
Schneep bit his lip hard to remain silent as Dark slid cards onto the table, the door bursting open just as Dark picked up his hand.
"Great, it's dumb and dumber." Dark growled in irritation as he stood up, tossing the cards in his hands at the Winchesters to stun them before he and Anti abruptly disappeared.
"You okay?" Sam questioned Schneep as he let out a choked sob of relief and sadness, the German's body trembling.
"Sam." Dean spoke up quietly, gesturing at Chase's body.
"Henrik-"
"I already know vhat you're going to say. It's not my fault, I'm sorry for your loss, zhat kind of bullshit." Schneep interrupted Sam bitterly, angrily swiping his remaining tears away with the back of his hand as he stood up.
"I called the police with an anonymous tip, they'll take care of a Chase. Sam and I can take Marvin." Dean offered, Schneep nodding as he felt all of his adrenaline drain out of him.
Schneep wearily trudged after Sam and Dean as they carried Marvin out of the casino, police already on the scene since the guards that used to be at the entrance were found dead.
"So much for having Marvin heal Cas." Dean grunted as they arrived at Mark's house to find the couch empty, the male abruptly freezing as he stepped inside.
Dark and Anti were already waiting for them in the darkness of the living room, Sam and Dean standing in front of Schneep to protect him.
"Hello-"
"Just leave us alone! I just vant to be vith Marvin and go back to my normal god damn life!" Schneep snarled as he pushed past the Winchesters.
Dark and Anti hesitated as they exchanged a look, neither demon seeming to expect Schneep to step forward.
"You know what? Fine. We have more important things to do anyway besides torturing humans. We have a throne to take." Anti shot back before he and Dark disappeared.
"I don't like what they were talking about." Dean grumbled as he dumped Marvin's body on the couch, Schneep shooting Dean a look as he knelt by Marvin.
"Zauber?" Schneep whispered gently, Marvin's eyes cracking open slightly to look at Schneep as a smile spread across the magician's face.
"Hen." Marvin murmured happily, seeming more awake as he slowly sat up.
Schneep instantly hugged the magician close and buried his face into the crook of Marvin's neck, the German squeezing his eyes shut as Marvin held him in his arms.
"Dark and Anti won't bother us for awhile." Marvin soothed Schneep as he ran a hand through the German's hair.
"I don't care about them," Schneep interjected as he looked into Marvin's eyes with a slight smile.
"I care about you."
Schneep pulled Marvin's face closer to him before pressing his lips against the magician's, relishing the warmth and taste of Marvin's mouth against his as he closed his eyes.
Schneep broke the kiss off to glare at Dean when he noticed him standing at the end of the couch, the male flashing the pair a thumbs up before walking off.
"If Dark and Anti are talking about a throne, they must mean Hell....what does that mean for us?" Marvin wondered aloud, Schneep letting out a sigh.
"It means zhat we hold each other close vhile ve still can and pray zhat ve never see zhem again."
